Music Starfield's OST - Hry
So as a lot of people are pointing out, you can instead sell the Contraband in Wolf at a place called The Den, but keep in mind that if you do this that you must not stop in any UC or Freestar controlled system on the way. If it's out of your single jump range, you may ruin your play through as a legal player. Without spoiling much, there's a major thing that happens when you get caught with contraband at some point through your playthrough that triggers a storyline, where if you refuse to continue playing as a criminal you become enemies with an entire faction. That's a big deal.
How do you just jetison an item? I've seen nothing in the game that made me think that was even possible?
@@30noir While inside your ship, open your inventory. On the bottom right, press the key for Cargohold. In this new inventory UI, you can switch between looking at your ship inventory and personal inventory and transferring items between each. While in ship cargo, you can see the Jettison button on the bottom right.
Will you do a tutorial for the ship you show in the end and an interior tour?
Additional protip: on PC, if you double click a part, you select all parts connected to it. Good for finding that one loose part and coloring the whole ship at once.
Also iirc you can click and drag a selection box to grab all the parts within it.
Also important if you decorate your ship with items by hand:
- Currently interior often get a reset if you change the hull/hub configuration, (There's usually a mention that items go into the cargohold if you try to exit the shipbuilder after such a change) so wait with decorating until you think it is the 'final version' of your ship.
- When "dragging" the item through the air you can tap shift to change the axis for rotation (Cycle through the 3 axes and rotate with Right/left click on your mouse) So you don't have to suffer that much if you drop it on a weird angle and try to get it upright again.
If you want to change the color of the entire ship you can double click any component, it will select the entire ship, then press j.
Fantastic tip!!!
@@Morphologisalso you can color just a few different components by holding control then clicking each component then releasing control and pressing j.
Can’t believe I’m reading this 10 mins after I spent an hour recoloring my ship
@@runeraid1561 know the feeling lol
This is also helpful for finding unattached modules as well instead of checking each individual module, everything attached will be lit up red while anything not attached will not be.
Keep up the good work Morph

Keep in mind when registering the ship - if you do it at the ship technician, it will cost you more money. Instead, press TAB to open the in-game menu, in lower left corner click on ship icon and register the ship there. It'll cost you several thousands credits less to do it. Not free, but you will save money regardless.
Amazing shout- that is massive for someone who likes to capture-and-sell ships
Just asking. WHERE do we get all this. $$$$$$$$ from,,, do we use. The game $$$$$$ or OUR $$$$ ( real life) ,,,??????????
@@JOHNSMITH-vx5yz first: Plesse refrain from this kind of use of signs, but its in-game-money
I would suggest adding enough passenger modules so you can take as much constellation members with you as possible. They talk and interact with each other in between (and after ) missions which makes the ship feel way more alive. They can also hold more long term storage cargo.
Don’t you have to have an endish game perk to have more then 3 crew? My ship can hold 5 but it won’t let me add anymore until I get a perk that’s at the very bottom of one of the perk sections
@@riisky2411Think there is passengers and there is crew. From what I have read anyway.
@@dianapennepacker6854how do you assign passengers? I know you assign crew in the ship menu
Gets repetitive and annoying quickly. Nothing worse than trying to fight off multiple enemies while Cora Coe talks about books
@@ToastyZach seriously, I stopped taking them with me off the ship cuz they always “need to talk” or get all judgey. No longer worth the extra inventory space for me. Wish sam died for me and not Sarah. Lol
Alternately the best way to deal with contraband when capturing a pirate ship is to take the ship than immediately fly to the Wolf system and dock at a space station / bar called The Den there are no customs officials in the system and there is a trade authority rep there who will take the stuff no questions asked. You only get contraband scans at major cities and can just avoid those planets and select an alternate uninhabited world to jump to
That! Don‘t throw away that hard earned loot! 😂
You can also jump to a main system and just reopen your map before the scan finishes and then travel to a outpost you made, store the contraband, go back into orbit, get scanned, go back and pick up your contraband from the outpost, and now you can travel to the city without being scanned again.
Mars also has a similar loophole if you don't have any extra outposts you can make/don't want to waste one. Travel to Mars, open the map before the scan finishes, land at the launch facility that is next to Cydonia, and just walk 900 meters to Cydonia so you can sell. You can still access your ship inventory too.
The Mars version would probably work in most cities if you just build your outpost in the same tile as the city, since you don't need to be scanned to travel to your outpost, just the city travel points. Picking a custom landing zone next to a City didn't work for me so I'm assuming the worldgen tiles don't connect to city tiles.
There's an interesting quest if you get caught with contraband in Mars space and surrender. You get your stuff back but you have to infiltrate the crimson fleet. Still debating if I want to be a bad guy pirate or a neutrally chaotic bounty hunter.
@@Skullsworth Just a little small tip to add, for people who want to do this try to maximize power to your grav drive, and try to do this in class A ship.

This couldn't have come any sooner! I was looking for a guide and this is the first thing that popped up and got so pumped for this
Ive been playing since September 1st and was just about to start building my first ship lol
@@hecticend9815bro the ship builder is way too overwhelming i aint even started the outpost builder smh
Can you show us how to build that last ship?
love morphologis
I taught myself over the course of 40 hours, cause all the guides I found before this one were not helpful at all. First good one I’ve found
If you picked Dream Home trait during character creation, once you get access to your house you can just fast travel there to stockpile contraband before taking the ship you steal to a spaceport to claim it.
One MAJOR thing to keep in mind: if you place any items manually in your ship, then go and edit it in ship builder, and save the changes -- all items get move back to the cargo hold.
Also keep in mind, that if you put stuff on weapon displays or weapon crates and do the above, they will disappear.
@@Big_Red1yeah found that out the hard way
@forrestedgar2776 thanks for that info. Definitely need remember remove everything before remodels then. Wonder if disappears when get a new ship also
@@Big_Red1In my experience, they don’t disappear, they just go into the cargo hold, like the original commenter stated.
@@Big_Red1 Damn thats fucked up, not really worth decorating at the moment then
Awesome video! Only thing I think you missed is Outpost building "Landing Pad with Shipbuilder" will also allow you to modify your ship. It has parts from Deimos, Hopetech, Nova, Stroud, and Taiyo. You also don't need any special outpost-related skills to build it... only required resources: 2x Beryllium, 2x Zero Wire, 18x Adaptive Frame, 30x Iron.
This is how I’ve been making my ships. It makes it so much easier personally.
Yooo, thanks man!
I built an outpost with a landing pad, the dumb ship never lads on it and lands on the ground next to it, it's very annoying..
@@bes12000 I have the same issue! You find a fix, let me know
@bes12000 make sure to select the outpost icon when you land not the recently landed flag. The recently landed flag was created before the outpost existed.
If you choose to build a bigger ship I recommend having the loading bay to be forward facing in the front of the ship instead of back or side. The ships always land on planets with the ship pointing towards the entry point to the settlement and while it only adds a few seconds of running if the loading bay is at the backside it will start adding up when you are zipping between settlements, especially if your inventory is full. I hope there will be a mod where the ship orients itself on the landing pad according to loading bay instead of front.
Most ships look goofy with the loading bay in the front. I prefer rear or side. The extra couple of seconds is not a big deal for me. I usually fast travel to the ship anyway.
lol yeah this was super annoying when I got the Razorleaf, glad I figured out how to move where the loading bay was!
This drives me crazy on the Razorleaf! I'm watching videos on how to build ships just so I can fix this!
Finally someone that goes into dept with the modules and shows us the styles. It saves so much money instead of guessing which one looks well to you
He's been doing great videos about Star Citizen for many years now. I'm just happy he's stopped promoting that stupid go nowhere game and has moved over to this game where his talent can truly shine!
Great video of what is turning out to be an incredible feature of the game. The amount of options and detail is pretty insane, and the sky is the limit with updates/DLC/mods. Just seeing what people have made already is pretty mindblowing. Also excited for your to continue to cover this game, your video recording and editing skills really are a match made in heaven for Starfield.
Small note regarding placing physics objects at the end of the video: if you hit shift/left stick (sprint basically) you can change what axis your mouse/triggers rotate the object on for better positioning.
Wow thanks.
Oh my god, thank you so much
Omfg, thank you
Best ship guide I've seen yet. Really well put together. Clear. Concise. Organized and planned. Love the panning shots of the habs.

I'd really like to see a detailed guide on the ship build at the end. The ship looks amazing.
Yeah it looks awesome., I want it
Same.
It's the reason I clicked on this vid, it's the ship in the thumbnail. Definitely going to try making it.

That ship design on the final clip is 🔥
Literally the best video I’ve come across so far that really *explains* the different manufacturers and their design languages. Thank you 🙌🏽
yeah, this is the video i have been hoping for when i clicked on all the others :D
Great work! I reallly appreciated you going though the styles, so even without a preview, I can now have a sense of what the types look like. Enjoyed your review as well.
Just wanna say this video has been a huge help for getting ideas on what I wanna do with my ships. I greatly appreciate you putting together this video and providing the information succinctly providing visuals, especially the interiors. I look forward to watching more of your content!
Excellent Job very educational and inspiring with a great deal of insight to what you need before starting on ship building just about to buy the game and start.Great timing.Thank you as usual, your rock solid for us no matter what your working on.
I have been going thru countless videos looking for shots of the INTERIORS and no one, I mean NO one has had any! Thank you so much for those interior shots 🤯🤯 Please keep including them in your future videos. I have subscribed to you because of ALL the information you included in this wonderful video (not just the interiors, lol) 👍
Useful, comprehensive, entertaining and more than anything - Beautiful! I don't know if you maybe have some photography experience in real life, but your videos always feature such incredible visuals! I mean, Starfield is a pretty game as-is, but you REALLY do it justice with your shots.
If you want to hold off on any smuggling or crimson fleet storyline then you can get a little freebie shielded cargo hold when you get the Mantis ship. You can completely redesign the Razorleaf and just keep that one module, and the ship still gets recognised as the Mantis' ship by pirates.
It has a shielded cargo hold? Crap I've been flying around avoiding scanners this whole time quick selling the stuff in the wolf system when I could have just been holding it in cargo til better places to sell it. Damnit...
Is the Mantis ship in on the mission board then?
@jimmyjames1474 no, it's a note you pick up during a mission about a secret outpost. There is about 50 videos about how to get it, just search in CZcams, you will find it. 👍🏻
Man this confusing af, so as long as contraband items don't exceed the threshold it's 100% safe scan? And anything over is determined by the perk skill?
@@jimmyjames1474 Nah, you start the Mantis mission by looting a data slate titled "Secret Hideout" from an NPC during an early story mission (on the orbital station when Sarah is locked as your follower).
I couldn't say what happens if you miss it. It's possible that it still drops from spacers/pirates in a different cell after that mission is complete.
keep it up Morph! you make great content
Was just getting ready to build a ship, so your timing couldn’t be better. Thank you.
Wow...omg! So many tips in one short video! Great job!! 🤘🏼
I just love this game!!❤
This is the best video I've seen so far on this topic, thanks so much for the information!
Wellp, doesn't get much better than getting design tips from an actual architect! I love your Star Citizen videos, super excited we get even more content now that Starfield is out. Thanks man!
From what I've heard, when you start building Outposts, there is a landing pad with ship builder attached, and that gives you access to most of the parts from all the manufacturers. I haven't got that far yet, so I can't confirm, but apparently it has all parts except manufacturer specific parts. I'm guessing that would be those massive bridges.
Can confirm
Watching this whole vid, I was trying to think about what ship I'd want to build and what it should look like. However this was quickly answered at the end of the video. That last ship looks awesome! I'm definitely going to build something like that.
A good tip I learned in my game is if you get the "Unattached module" double click the ship on pc, this will highlight all modules and then move them away from the center. Any module that is unattached will stay behind making it super easy to find which module has become unattached!
Great video. I have about 30 hours but have yet to really build (Upgraded parts on the frontier) so thanks for the tips. Also I agree, I love the Nova Galactic aesthetic its amazing.
Good video. I liked how you showed the interior styles. The final ship in your video was also pretty cool for a larger build.
This is by far the best ship building guide that I've found on CZcams. Even though I already (mostly) knew what I as doing, I still picked up a lot of good info from this. Cheers!
Awesome guide! Really appreciate you putting this out there!
Thanks for the video Morph, I was wondering where I needed to go for the various ship parts.
Tip for building the ship when it comes to the interior. Ladders spawn as close to the loading ramp as the game can put them. So one way to get the ladder in a specific place is to sandwich components like reactors between the top and bottom deck with a 1x1 module that you can walk inside acting as a connector.
Deimos is my personal favourite when it comes to the manufacturers but I can definitely see why Stroud-Eklund or for that matter any of the others would be someones favourite. Bethesda did a good job differentiating the manufacturers from one another.
I haven’t gotten to this yet but what a great video!! Can’t wait to get a ship put together!
Great guide, really needed a video like this to start ship building properly. Thank you.
Fantastic guide Morph, thanks for making this!
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ just killing the content. I have been watching videos all day about ship building. This is by far the most concise and informative one I have seen. Just gets me even more excited to get to building my own ship.
It should also be noted that, most of the time, clutter items are actually part of the ship's cargo, especially if it comes with the ship. This is why you might see items like a wrench or towel in the ship's cargo even though it doesn't need to be there. So make sure to check there (and jettison) first for contraband before running around the ship.
The stock version of the Frontier Hab is the 2x1 All-In-One Berth A (the A version.) If you ever lose the frontier hab, you'd want that to replace it.
as always, the best quality videos are from Morph! Thanks for the guide! :D
Great Video Morph, Looking to try this out soon!
I started playing Starfield a couple weeks ago and I’ve really wanted to build an absolutely massive battleship. Like, a dreadnought of insane proportions. There will be so many weapons.
Was waiting for your coverage, I hope you will be doing ship build videos.
Definitely adding this to my saved folder for when I have progressed further. Thanks for making the vid!
Great video, exactly the info I was looking for. Thank you dude
I really love the visual similarities to the Expanse. I’m hoping to be able to build some similar ships to the show eventually.
Morph, I built your ship from the ending of the video, gotta say that it is a lovely ship. Also I put alpha beam turrets on it and anything those things lock onto is dead in almost an instant. Crazy overpowered weapons, sometimes whenever I'm trying to keep the target alive it's hard cause the turrets will start shooting the ship before I'm even able to clearly see the target.
Hey, this was EXTREMELY helpful. Thank you.
love that your doing ship vids for starfield!
I just finished building my first ship about an hour before watching this video. I used the Mantis quest Razorleaf as the base. That ensures pirates will have interesting reactions of terror and the like when I show up. I reused most of the parts of the ship, as I don't have access at this point to much in the way of better equipment, but having moved a lot of things around, getting a new cockpit and adding wings, it certainly doesn't look like it used to.. What I did do however was to replace its entire weapon suite with four autoturret particle cannon (Vanguard Obliterator Autoprojectors). For a mere 8 power, the four of them will do nearly 60 DPS! For a smallish Type A ship, that is seriously impressive.
Would love to see a side by side comparison of all the manufacturers for each module type and who you think does it best.
Morph ur production quality keeps getting better!!! I love it!
Also I love u for building a falcon :)
Alright, so I had to stop the video right after the Japanese manufacturer description simply to drop a like and follow and type this note because wow the quality of your delivery and the information you're sharing I didn't even know how bad I needed it and now I know how much I appreciate it..great fkn vid keep it up..👍
After fifty hours of early access, welcome to Starfield day one players! After almost 60 hours in, main story still unfinished, all factions unfinished, just enjoying my time doing bounties, side quests with a mix of main and faction missions here and there, loving every second. I will say, I built my very first ship from scratch last night and I have to say, I’m addicted, I will definitely be dumping points into the ship focused skills and science skills for the remainder of my time, given my background as a space hauler it’s only fitting to have an absolute beast of a ship for hauling not so legal cargo and materials. This deep into a game to feel like I have a whole other avenue of play to extend my play time after the main quests are complete is amazing, will definitely be starting new game plus in the near future knowing what I know now and being more comfortable with all of the systems at hand. I’m easily putting 1000+ hours into this game and I can’t wait to see what mods make their way to console and hopefully there’s dlc and updates from the big dogs themselves! Happy travels!
I'm at 48hrs and still have yet to go to Venus with Sarah - she's still asking if we're going lol
When you grab items to decorate, on console you can click the left joystick to change the axis of rotation. It makes placing items 100x easier.
ur goated for this. I thought there was only one axis of rotation
Exactly what I needed. Thank you!
Just what I needed. I was wanting to customise my ship and this gives me all the info I need. I really did that starter ship vibe. Some of the others feel very sci-if instead of that rough and basic, but practical NASA aesthetic.
On PC, in ship builder, double click any part will select the entire ship, you can then select paint and it will apply to all components, don’t have to do them one at a time!
This took me forever to figure out. On a controller, it literally gives you the option to select all. On PC, it's a guessing game lmfao.
Fun fact, if you have a module separated on your ship, but can't find it, you can double click your ship which will highlight everything attached and leave unattached modules un-highlighted.
Yessss thats a good one, I also missed that tip/trick in this video, I had to (unfortunately) find that out myself.
THIS is the video I have been looking for! Saved, and liked!
Brilliant guide! Question, could you please look into how connecting interiors works in the game? So far it’s a huge hassle to avoid ladder / door mazes
Some folks are saying it’s based on the order of attaching habs, some say it’s algorithm based. I feel like it’s the key ingredient missing to having a perfect build.
If youre on xbox press and hold lt and rt then click on an attachment point and you’ll be able to cycle what can go there. Seems like some interiors have designated ladder spots so youll be able to tell by whether than can attach evenly or the shift back
The ships in star citizen may be beautiful but the ships in starfield are truly mobile homes, they feel like a home even through all of the modifications you make to them. (i am not trying to compare them, they are just different)
errrr - are you really saying that ... the game is just porting configs between instances there even invisable walls on the planets cmon guys get real i like fallout games and this is set in a nice space world but please comparing with SC PTU is false eqivelence

Hey Morph, great video, but from 6:26 to 6:30 the screen is just black, i think you might have forgotten to add something there.
OH god no... that's disastrously bad. I must have had an hard drive reading error or something. Sadly, I would have to take the video down and reupload it to fix the issue, CZcams doesn't allow replacing videos. I was in a major crunch to get the video out, I'll have to double check more closely next time. Very embarrassing and unprofessional, I apologize.

This was VERY useful, thank you very much, great work!
This game is phenomenal! I can't believe how extensive and complex the ship-designs are, there are so much great modules to play with and don't even begin with the weapon systems. Clearly insane! I really appreciate that Bethesda has gone the extra mile for that separate optional part of the game. Did I even mention the quality of presentation and material design? It is unbelievable. Just having a blast!
