I played my first game through as naturally as possible, making decisions I would normally make in any other game. Then, having finished the main story, main factions and a bunch of side missions, I felt like it was time to move on. I didn't rush it or anything I wouldn't otherwise do and headed into NG+. Now in my replay as Starborn, I replayed the main story line and not my NG+1 playthrough is my sandbox. Really happy with how it turned out for me and I'm really enjoying the game as I think it was intended.
Same here. I played naturally until it made sense “story-wise” for me to enter the Unity. I’m in NG plus one now after 100 plus hours and will exist in this universe as long as it makes sense to my character. I advise people to take the role-playing seriously…you will enjoy the game more. Don’t just rush through everything just to get to “max NG plus”…You are really short-changing yourself on a pretty deep role-playing experience. But, to each his/her own.
That magazine on the railing right in front of you is driving me nuts, pick it up!
Basically after the final boss in the first run, you took their artifacts and then go to the Eye to look for the temples, and the remaining temple is the story line of Barrett, in this case you will have all powers in the first run
At the end-game meeting after the big battle with all the Starborn Guardians you will meet with the two Starborn faction leaders a second time. If you can convince them to leave you alone, they will give you the rest of the Artifacts they have already collected. Go back to the Lodge and talk to Vlad, (twice, I think), the second time he will give you the option to go to the temples.
I have NG+10 times, While the powers do become VERY powerful, It is incredibly tedious, your ship can level up to NG6 and your suit can upgrade too NG10, However if you miss a power, you need to do an additional NG to get that power to level 10, Also, even if you have most powers to level 10 you may have to do a temple again that you have already maxed that power in...
I agree. I have the impression that this feature wasn't tested properly. Well the QA, in general, for this game, is at 2/5 stars > very mediocre.
this is a random thought, but the story says that we don't know who has the artifact (the remaining ones) and where they're located right? so i think you have to listen to people talk and go though some activities to find them. We found those ones due to constellation tracking people down and doing most of the information gathering. maybe the game should have a throwaway line at the end of the mission line telling players (not the character) to listen for chatter and scan planets for anomalies or something like that.
I got all 24 powers and temples on first and second play through. But on 3rd play through my game is bugging and I’m missing 1 power and no more quests from vlad and already did quest with Barrett
Make an another save to explore new game plus ?
I think I'll do what Cohh said... before NG+ I'll just explore the side quests, explore the galaxy, set up a few bases... just have fun with the game...
Then first NG+ I might check out a few side quests, see how different choices affect them... for example I'm curious about the Ryujin one if I pick a different path how it ends...
And then I'll just go ng+++++ grinding and see what that's like... by that time I should have a lot of the skills already so my char should feel OP :)
You can find more temples by exploring systems. If there is one in the system, a quest will pop up
I was just playing and I was searching for a planet for my first base and I randomly came across an anomaly and it turned out to be another temple
On first play through it is possible to get all the temples before NG+ Vlad will keep giving you locations its when he says I have not got anything for you is when you know you got them all I do suggest getting All the powers before going to unity.
If nothing else you should at least try to find the other powers, after the attack on New Atlantis their is an option about artifacts and powers, however I am not sure if that is part of getting the other powers and artifacts
How do you avoid game plus if it’s always the main missions?
I have then all without doing new game plus you have to speak to vlad even when he doesnt have a quest marker
Thanks for the heads up
or do the quests and choose a different faction in game +
3 weeks later so is NG+1 worth settling down and calling it home? I had a playthrough with days of quests, exploring etc & then I started all over again twice. Now that I have my character on point I don't won't to waste time staying in the OG universe if NG+1 is better, though I hope the quests romance etc and everything remains the same on NG+1?
on your first play through you need to leave unity back to the first universe to get all 24 starborn powers then re-enter when you have them all to stand a chance of getting them all to lvl 10, the powers are a grind but worth it, but be warned each universe has differences some good some absolutely crazy and some infuriating
can anyone tell me what happens in starfield unity if u side with Ron hope?
So is this like a prestige ?
You can find powers but you need to explore other planets. I believe it lets you know when you jump in that system and I’m on a first ng+ I think I want to get to 5 then see how I feel about going all the way
the suit stats upgrade and the suit changes
NG+ sounds like a near total after thought! Unless it opens up more gameplay, like Record of Agarest War or Disgea.
Id like to see a video from you using the powers in combat and seeing what they will do, I would rather do the game fully before ng+, then when I play new game plus and can stuff around being a criminal and killing the good guys
well, then the NG+ is not good, if you can't keep ships and bases
doing all of those missions actually enhances getting to new game plus
Can you make a hard save right before your first NG+ and second, third etc? In order to have options of which universe you want to settle in.😊 Or maybe just wait to do all side content after NG+ #10.
That’s what I’m doing
Yea you can and you can go back to them
Also, you can keep upping your powers anywhere. Not important where or when.
Interesting , Thank you.
You can get all the powers on every play through. Go back and talk to Vlad again. He might be at the lodge.
I definitely recommend rushing your first playthrough and enjoy the second one
For info one of the powers is locked behind a companion quest too
Nah it's glitched or maybe not cuz I have max affection with barret but the quest doesn't come up I just got to new game plus 6 times now and immediately you can get the quest from him without having done anything just after going to the lodge go vectera and talk to him and do the quest my first playthrough got 22 powers went to all systems and the quest for powers is coming up even valdmir can't find any so the only power was left for me is parallel self and supernova and I got them in my new game plus skipping the main quest everytime getting 24 power from new game plus the first playthrough maybe kinda buged some people get less powers and some even different powers from anyone else like some got supernova on first playthrough....
Also in new game plus Vladimir find every temple for you not like the first playthrough buged or glitched.......
I feel something hidden in those power is what if there more endings. The final endings.
The "undiscovered temples" is a deceptive term. I am on NG + 10 and have one power at 10, but I still do not have all 24 powers. I saw somewhere that some of the powers are only obtainable at a certain point in the Constellation quest-line, but I cannot confirm that. Some of the comments below say that it's right after you collect all artifacts from the starborn. I tried that, but didn't get any new ones (it's possible I didn't give it enough effort).
after the first part of the final mission, Vlad returns to the lodge then you can talk to him and he will give you the rest of the powers one at a time i got all of them in my first play through
@@williampullen386 Thanks! I'll try that.
I think the unlock of power is pretty randomic, you need to do it again and again untile you get all of it
I bought starfield but my PC can't handle it, but then why can it handle jedi survivor? They are a similar size.
Starfields world is way bigger eventhough they might be same size GB
Best thing to is play the main quest but don't finish it until you get all temple powers. Game buvvs will
What happened to your recent subnautica series!!
I played first run with no sound. Ignored text as much as i could. Now im doing ng+ to 10 then i will play assassins. Reed and spiderman and come back and play it like its a new game with all powers and a cool ship ;) lol
I got all 24 didnt new game yet
i loved the guardian when i stole one :D then i accidently deleted the character lol
I be maxing out those abilities before doing any custom builds on ships/bases. By then my level should be plenty to make massive OP ship. Makes one wonder if Star born ship can keep up.
SPOILER! The starborn ship has ranks that go up as you complete NG+ runs. It goes up to tier VI with a base shield of 2k and other similar stats. Same goes for the starborn armor though that seems to have 10 iterations.
Lol I get distracted way to easy, my first playthroughs all ways take way longer, no stone unturned during exploration
Just plus 10 it, then do your base building.
NG+ is a must! I can't recommend it enough. Do, NG+ 10 times, max out your powers and ONLY after that you can enjoy Starfield as you should! And only the first time is longer. After the 2nd time you can skip the main quest, in the lodge, and follow the artifacts trail.
How long does it typically take to speedrun a run? 3 hours?
@@DeathbyBambi if you skip the main quest, yes. More or less, depending on your style.
New game changes alot everything you new game plus. Characters change events change ships change. And there sneaky about it. The changes are in theory cannon to a parallel universe
I say NG+ as much as you want. Only when you feel comfortable and dont want to leave the universe you live in then choose the second option and walk away. Stay and live a life you want.
I got all powers on my first playthrough :P
How? What do you have to do to get the all powers?
How dare you spoil it for me!! Oh wait I’m NG+2.. anyways yep I agree.
Plus tell me a developer who doesn’t want a player to play the main storyline?
Plus that ship has a boost that goes invisible and even tho it’s stats arnt the best. It’s OP maneuverable. And still powerful.
Also the slow time power upgrades every NG+ only. (Forgot the name). Phase time 😊
Honestly I’m tempted to just spam new game pluses as u can skip campaign and looks like the best armour in the game is ending related
just find the best looking armor that YOU like.. once you have more skills filled in, everything else becomes obsolete.. armor stats, carry weight, damage reduction, etc. all becomes useless... they made the game so that it becomes increasingly easy instead of harder. Kinda disappointing, but it is what it is.
It takes about an hour each time if you choose to skip the main missions. So not too crazy
@@Xploit66 are the missions hard? If so could take even less time
@@Sikeyourdead you just have to grab the artifacts if you skip the main missions and then do the ending again. I’ve done it a few times to get the level 5 ship. Took me anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour or so. There’s mostly just a lot of running.
@@Xploit66 I’ll probably do the xp stuff with outposts then just start doing the new game pluses, doesn’t seem hard
The whole ng+ thing seem badly designed.
IF i understand things correctly.
Seems like a grind and then a reset for super limited fun/profit, that you are suposed to do lots of times?
I for one am gona wait for mods and cheats to skip ALL of that wasted grind+reset as much as possible.
I got sooo many hours in fallout 4, building exploring and grinding for good guns with the mods i want.
Having a system that removes all my efforts for that little, just to do it again qnd again, seems super boring to me.
Some may love that ofc.
But now a thought struck me, if a person did the main qest and did the reset.
Can one make a NEW character and play with the ng+bonuses?
Then again, pearhaps one is suposed to just continue with the ng+ save save, and simply change ones look.
I dunno if looks is the only thing one can change tho.
As background lore choices may be set in stone if one do the old save.
Sorry, i bet blabbering when i lack sleep.
I'm tempted to do new game plus but sometimes go back to my pre ng+ save and cheat in skills and powers I'd earned in ng+. It's a horrible system.
I wish you could save ship designs as once your ng+ you loose everything..
I going to wait till I can get a cheap consol then buy the game
If you have a game pass from either Xbox or Microsoft, which is like $10, you can play it for free
Go to vlad after every artifact and do berets loyalty mission got all 24
1 at a time 1 artifact vlad gives 3 temples ,get 2 you still only get 3 temples
If the quest disappears, just keep asking him, do a mission in, ask again.
The very last Temple will be reserved to tell after you. Build the actuary and Barrett will say he wants powers himself. And lead you to the last temple.
wish you would have told me there were spoilers... /s
Do you retain all the easter egg magazine/book/page pickups that give stat increases? anyone know? Edit: Looks like they do carry over. Also, glad to hear i'm not the only one who basically forgot the powers existed. Definitely more interested in the actual skills than the powers.
I did that! 🙂
I heard there might be spoilers in this video 😂
What's with all the spoilers?! J/k
The ship is not "good". Its bullshit and useless. Even at ng+6. And i hate it. I dont know why they did it that way.
What difficulty are u playing? For me it shreds
@@dmja9806 so you are the only one, in that game, that "shreds" with them. With weapons you cant make better.. they are their own dmg (solar and torpedo, so you cant even do anything with them..)
Thats amazing. Show us a video, you and your amazing ship against ..lets say, any legendary ship in the game.. or against a few, make it easy, lvl 40 enemys. Lets show us how you shred them with your underpowered and nearly useless weapons. I wanna see that..
Don't NG+, it's not worth it. I vehemently advise against NG+, atleast until you take your time experiencing what the base game has to offer. The rewards and power upgrades aren't good enough to ruin the magic of this game. Of course, play how you wanna play, some people may want the rewards and be willing to grind NG+, buy I started blowing through the main story ignoring how I normally play these games, and I found myself bored very quickly, I saw the rewards and decided it's not worth it, then went back to doing side missions, outpost building, and exploring. Once I decided to postpone NG+ the experience became borderline magical. I still plan on NG+, but I'll way until I burnout and stop playing, then inevitably come back and play again, or I'll start my NG+ when mod support comes to Xbox. In summary, play the game like NG+ isn't a feature, NG+ isn't a different experience if you didn't experience the base game to begin with. Just my advice, but ultimately do what makes you get the most satisfaction from the game.
There are quite literally new dialogue options and storyline changes in NG+
@anarchopupgirl I know, but how will you know what's new if you didn't experience the original. Plus, it's not like every line of dialog changes, just a select few.
I just want that new ship, a starborn suit and ship are just too cool to pass up. Makes me sad I had to leave Sarah behind after I married her. I wish she would have come with me.
I took my time doing story lines first time. Then speed ran through till ng+10 because I don't like throwing away all my hard work again. Now I can start to collect things. :)
"NG+ isn't a different experience if you didn't experience the base game to begin with" .
Just wanted to pop a quick comment that this resonates with me so much.

Reality is there is no point to go above Ng+1 rathen than suitea.
I hate this system so much. I want to be able to build bases and collect ships and collect powers. I might not mind it so much if you could jump back to previous iterations of yourself but this is just a total game killer for me. Waiting for the modding community to fix this horrendous mess if a DLC doesn't
I say just have fun in the first then stop wherever you see fit and for that ending choose to stay in the universe and build structures, get married, battle Starborn, complete all missions as the best starborn. I mean I'm fine with starting over because it gives me a clean slate. It's not like your ships can enter the unity given most are on a literally planet light years away. Weapons may be one thing though
The powers are so underwhelming I doubt I NG+ more than once.
Hi
Hello!
What's the dumbest thing you can do to a Honda civic?
Spoiler
Leaving the co Dom wrapper inside where her father finds it. 😖
Full stop!
No...not accurate! You don't retain your knowledge. You also lose all knowledge of star maps and planetary maps. Mapping is just gone.
For some reason, we forget all knowledge of the actual "Starfield." Hilarious
Due to spoilers, not going to continue watching the video. I’d recommend Cohcarnage his explanation done without spoilers, would be great if you could try a spoiler free explanation next time Z 🤙🏻
How could one possibly explain NG+ without spoilers? This complaint is completely nonsensical.
Your toon looks like Amos.
