    44 minutes 10k is pretty rapid, keeping in mind lots of lads even at ROP cant run a sub 22 5k

    I Appreciate the help you're giving people, even if it doesn't reach massive audience, you're still helping lads like me who are sort of lost on how to build that foundation to become a Royal Marine. Cheers

    I like your approach but that standard wasnt even required for the briefing course at sennybridge. I would say 5k sub 24mins is tasty enough for potential rm’s. Or maybe do something similar with fire service. 6.3km pace. 3% incline increasing 3% every 2mins for 12mins. But add maybe a 10kg sack

    I don't think the 10k is necessary as you now have to do the endurance course during you CPC (5days) which is a determination test within itself.
    Good advice to be hitting these marks before you try out though 💪🏻

    should replace sit ups with planks or hanging knee raises

    Yeah if you want to drop the standards, which is exactly what will happen. There in place for a reason. If recruits can’t make it then do something before week 1 training

    Dont think the fitness test is the subject of debate in a core which is failing to meet recruitment goals

    What would happen if you failed one of your 4 commando tests at the end of training, would you be back trooped?

    Never seen a video say 22 seconds before
    Edit:
    I feel like the music should either be quieter or not there

    Good stuff but the 10km is not necessary. That’s what ROP is for

      Having recently completed ROP myself, the fitness sessions in ROP aren't challenging at all- they're designed to prevent overtraining and 'de train' you ready to begin smashing you in mainstream

    Problem with these tests is you’ll have way less people through the door and into training

      Yeah but then the drop out rate is less

    • @jackdaugaard-hansen4512
      @jackdaugaard-hansen4512 Před 3 měsíci

      Point is that if you filter out the people that can’t do the training then you’ll walk in with more people who won’t drop out, that means less people will get injured and the people who can’t do it will not have there time wasted on something they can’t or don’t want to do

      @@jackdaugaard-hansen4512 I know that but 44 min 10k is too fast imo.
