I just turned 69, and got all correct. I sent this to my two daughters with college degrees and neither one scored 100. Education is more about transgender rights. We’re living in sick times.
100%, but I'm 75 and went to school when they taught this stuff.
100%. I'm 73 years old and very disappointed in the failure of schools to teach the English language the way it is meant to be spoken and written. What has happened to the English language is disgraceful!
The last answer should be: to take a chance.
I went to school in the 60s. For the past 10 years I have taught Latin at the college level. Students are not learning this, and many have an appalling lack of knowledge about the past tense and past participle-- in English. One student was on his way to an M.A. in English. After a few days he came up to me and was furious that no one-- not grade school, not high school, nor the professors of English had EVER mentioned parts of speech,, grammatical uses of parts of speech,, or principal parts of verbs. I told him was the victim of educational fraud.
“Where did you go
This is a test for a 4th grade grammar school child.
I'm 81. This is so easy it's hardly a test.
100%. I’m 72, it was basic grammar, in this old girls humble opinion. Good for retaining the tiny grey cells.😂
I’m 81 and learned this stuff in the 3rd grade
Answer is, “Yes I can.” As others say, we had excellent teachers in schools in the 50’s, and we were made to sit and listen.
I got 100%. But like many of you have replied, I was taught proper English when I went to school. They drilled this stuff into us. One pet peeve that I do have though is people in upper management positions who CAN'T speak proper English. I would think with the amount of schooling some of these folks take that somewhere along the line they would have been taught how to speak properly. I don't have much respect for a supervisor when I can speak better than they do.
100% ! I am 76 years old !! I was blessed to have been taught by demanding and outstanding teachers ❤️!!!
I'm 14 years old... I really had fun solving these grammar questions... thank you 😊
Got all correct 💯.We had great Grammar teachers in the 1960s, including my Teacher Mom! Enjoyed this. Thanks from Bombay/Mumbai, India.
100%. I was at school from 1948 to 1959. Am amazed at how easy these questions and answers are. They can be answered by six year-olds.
100%. I’m 67 years of age and we were taught this at the elementary school level. Did a lot of diagramming sentences. So happy I grew up when I did.
100%. I don’t see how anyone with English as a first language could not get full marks. But I am nearly 70 so also fit into the “ I was force fed this stuff at school” group
I got all of them correct. I went to school in the 50's and 60's. English was taught with the expectations that you would learn it well.
I am 70 years of age, from Finland. English was my fourth language and had English lessons for 2 years. Since then English has become my number one language, without actually learning any grammar. To my surprise I scored 19/20.
