      You must REALLY love the "grammar" on the Net. "Me and Joe went to the movies," "Your right," "I have 2 arm's," "This is are house," and my all-time fovorite, "Don't loose the game," None of these (and many more like them) require more than a 5th grade education, yet you even see them from highly educated people you would assume learned them sometime in "there" multiple years of schooling. They make a grammar geek like me cringe.
      Thanks for helping ESL people learn english correctly. Maybe they can turn around and re-educate a few of our more "grammar challenged" native speakers to sound slightly less ignorant. Oh, BTW! I have a high school education from back when education educated instead of indoctrinated. This ain't rocket science, to coin a phrase.

While it's natural to occasionally forget small details like what happened yesterday, it's important to focus on the victories and accomplishments along the way. Celebrate the progress you've made and the knowledge you've retained.
      You've demonstrated your ability to engage in stimulating activities like this test, proving that your mind is active and capable. Every effort you make to exercise your memory is an investment in your overall well-being.

      Remember, you are capable of amazing things, and your wisdom and life experiences are valuable assets. Embrace each day as an opportunity to create new memories and cherish the moments that make life meaningful.

      @d5555 Před rokem +3

      Corrected sentence: "When you asked me to change the forms of the words, I got stuck; three of them were wrong. However, I think I am fairly advanced."
      Explanation: In the original sentence, "stucked" should be changed to "stuck" as it is the correct past tense form of the verb "stick". "Three were wrong" should be changed to "three of them were wrong" to make it clear which words the speaker is referring to. "Roughly advanced" should be changed to "fairly advanced" as it is a more accurate way to describe the speaker's level of skill. Also, a semicolon is added to the sentence to separate two independent clauses.

      Congratulations on your impressive performance on the English Quiz! Missing only three out of thirty answers is a remarkable achievement.
      Regarding the situation where multiple sentences seem equally correct, it can sometimes be challenging to determine the best choice. In English, there can be multiple grammatically correct ways to convey the same idea. This can depend on factors such as personal style, context, and the specific nuances of the sentences.
      When faced with such situations, it's helpful to consider the context in which the sentences would be used. Is there a particular tone or emphasis you want to convey? Are there any specific guidelines or rules you need to follow? Analyzing these factors can assist you in making an informed decision.
      In cases where there is genuine uncertainty about the correct answer, it's always a good idea to seek further clarification or consult a trusted source for guidance. Online resources, grammar books, or language experts can provide valuable insights and explanations.

    Please tell me what's the difference?

    • @EnglishTestBlog
      @EnglishTestBlog  Před rokem

      🤔🔀 Understanding the differences between "within," "in," and "inside" is a great question! Let's break it down to clear things up. 📚🔍
      🔸 "Within" suggests being inside a specific boundary or limit. It emphasizes being inside but still acknowledges the boundaries. 🌐🔲
      🔸 "In" generally refers to being inside a larger space or container without necessarily emphasizing boundaries. It implies a general sense of being enclosed or situated inside something. 🏠🔽
      🔸 "Inside" is similar to "in" but specifically emphasizes the idea of being within or enclosed by something. It puts more focus on the internal aspect of being inside. 🚪🔒
      Remember, context plays a crucial role in determining which word to use. Understanding the nuances will help you express yourself more precisely. 🗣️💡 Keep exploring examples, practicing, and asking questions to deepen your understanding. You're on the right track! 🌟🚀 If you have any further questions or need additional clarification, don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help you unravel the mysteries of language! 😊🌈

    I guess I did better in school English studies than I thought, I actually got them all correct. There were 2 questions that had another correct (less usage) answer, knowing the more correct answer is where many go wrong.

      Having a good understanding of correct grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills can indeed pay off in various situations as you progress through life. Being able to effectively express yourself and communicate clearly is highly valued in both personal and professional settings.
      It's interesting that you mentioned there were a couple of questions with alternative correct answers that were less commonly used. Language can sometimes be flexible, and different variations or usage patterns may exist.
