    The biggest difference about why this is my favorite ear plug is that these ear plugs reduce occulation - that annoying low frequency vibration that occurs when you wear earplugs and talk or sing. It usually sounds like an echo chamber. Not with these! While you can't fully get rid of occulation when wearing earplugs, these have minimized occulation more than any other ear plug I've tried.

    I'm watching this 2w later and I prefer the Engage over the Experience. Mostly because I'm indoors most of the time so I require the ability to get conversations but not be overwhelmed by outside sounds. I have used the Engage in a movie theater and at the grocery store while on a date and I'm able to hear my partner and cut out the other sounds much better than with the Experience.

    I really love the Engage plugs. I like how it makes voices more noticeable. I personally have a lot of issues sorting through noise to get to the voices of the people im actually talking to (and not the people across the room lol). I also love that in-ear stuff normally never fits for me but the XXS tips are perfect. The clear is so subtle too, I love it.

    I used your promo code and bought all three. These things are amazing!! I have rather sensitive hearing and can easily get overestimulated by noise, which leads my mind to just shut down and wander off in my own little world during conversations or other ordeals. Sleep isn't any better as the littlest noises around the house are enough to keep me awake for longer than I would like. Quiet helped out with sleep these past couple of nights, especially last night, and I've found both Engage Plus and Experience Plus to be very beneficial for everyday situations (used Engage Plus for family/small group interactions and Experience Plus for when my family and I were in more crowded areas like stores or restaurants [I was able to hear them and converse easily while they had trouble hearing over one another and other people]). I honestly can't recommend these enough and am looking forward to wearing them for my college graduation! Thanks so much for the LOOP recommendations!

It works well and I'm happy with it but next year I'm planning on going to a few heavy metal concerts and I'm wondering if it's worth getting the experience set to protect my hearing or should I just use the engage with the mute?

      Great question. Do you know how close you’ll be to the stage or the speakers for the show? If you’re gonna be close to the stage or the speaker I would at the very least have the mute in with the engage but the Experience offers even more protection. I think the Quiet would take out too much sound for you. My advice (and this is playing it safe) if you have the budget, pick up the Experience Pro.

    • @michaelmingoiamusic
      @michaelmingoiamusic  Před rokem +7

      Hi Trystin Anderson. Great question! And thank you for telling me what you would be using them for. Based on what you said I would go with the loop experience pro. You can still have a conversation with them in but they provide more environmental noise protection then engage. Plus, you have the mute option if you want to block out even more sound. In fact, what I would do is use the loop experience pro with mute option in for studying and I would take the mute option out if I needed to have a conversation with someone. You can still hear if someone called your name with the mute in as well so that you could decide if you needed to take the mute out to continue a conversation. Does that make sense?

    I have got the Loop quiet and I like the idea of the product but I think even with the smallest attachment they come with, it still doesn't quite fit well, as I apparently have tiny ears!
    Or maybe the XS foam tips might be better than the XS silicone tips? Are they separately available?

    Hello, i know I'm late to the video but i noticed you reply to almost every comment so i hope I'll get an answer as well. Im not sure which product to chose between the engage plus and the experience pro. I am neuro divergent and i struggle a lot with overstimulation, especially with sounds. I've seen ads for these earplugs but i didn't think is something i really need, but today as i was in class for my uni i noticed while watching some video materials i noticed how much the background noise bothered me. The static of the speakers, pen clinking, pages turning, the sound of the light above, and the video itself that had the volume way too high. It made it incredibly difficult to focus. I need something that will tone it down a notch, and filter out the background noise, but i also want to be able to hear what my teachers say clearly, follow the materials and have a conversation with someone. I have noise canceling headphones but most professors won't let me wear them in class and they make it hard to understand speech as they muffle everything out. I need to be aware of my surroundings and mange my sound sensitivity as well. Since you're a musician from what i gather, you seem to have good knowledge about how sound works, more than a regular user can claim, and you also have experience with both products, so what would you advise me towards?

    Hi Michael, really informative and insightful video!
    As a DJ I would love to use them while performing and I would like to know if I can use on-ear headphones while wearing the loops to monitor my mixing. Also I would like to know if they affect the sound quality at all and if they reduce all frequencies evenly because as a DJ this is really important.

    • @michaelmingoiamusic
      @michaelmingoiamusic  Před rokem +2

      Hi Ioannis. I have tried them only once under the big headphone cans. I was recording live video footage and the band was very loud. I had them in and they saved my ears. However, I was not mixing audio.
      It may work, but now there is two barriers - the headphones and the earplug. Here is what I suggest:
      Record yourself DJing and mixing tracks with the headphones on and the LOOP. Then after a few minutes stop and play back what you just recorded and see.

    Hi! Thanks for the informative review! I go to a lot of concerts and I finally thought about buying earplugs to protect my hearing. Now everyone says the loop experience are the best options for concerts but that you hear yourself sing really loudly. That's one of the reasons why i never wear earplugs cause i cant stand it when i hear my own breathing or heartbeat. I saw people say that the loop engage reduce the sound of yourself a bit better and i'm thinking about buying the loop engage plus for concerts (i'm hoping the plus version might protect my hearing a bit better even though the experience are recommended for music events). I'm a bit scared tho that the music will sound muffled with the loop engage because they're not specifically designed for concerts. Also I sometimes get overwhelmed when i'm surrounded by crowds of people or in big cities from all the noise but as i don't stay in big cities that often i don't think it's a crucial point for buying the engage ones if the loop experience are better for me otherwise. I can't decide between them and i don't have the budget to buy both. Which ones would you recommend for me?

    • @michaelmingoiamusic
      @michaelmingoiamusic  Před 10 měsíci

      Hi. I am sorry that I didn't see your comment until now. I understand your situation. Based on what you said and if it were me I would go with Loop Engage Plus. The reason for that is if your 2 biggest concerns are 1) protecting your ears and 2) not wanting to hear your inner voice singing during shows, then Engage is for you.
      Does the LOOP Experience Plus protect your ears even more? Yes. But, the Engage will still protect you (just not drop the db's as much) and you won't hear your inner head voice as much. The best part is, the music never sounds muffled - just lower in volume.

    Great review very professional and honest. Does the mute insert increase the “muffled voice in head” effect or decrease the ability to hear a conversation? Do you sacrifice conversation quality for noise reduction or is it not noticeable? Is the extra 5 dB worth $10?

    • @michaelmingoiamusic
      @michaelmingoiamusic  Před rokem +2

      Hi @dreamowner. I’m so glad you thought so. To answer your questions in order:
      -I don’t find that the mute insert makes anything more muffled or decrease conversation audibility.
      -while it lowers the volume around you and it’s not the same as not wearing earplugs and having a conversation, I never owned a pair of plugs that sounds this good! You still can have a conversation without the strain.

I’m a student, trying to black out background noise (especially in buses, malls, but probably at uni too). At the same time I’m a big concert lover so I’d like to protest my ears a little bit more. It’s also really hard for me to concentrate, even the most quiet sounds easily distract me. I also work as a teacher with 5yo kids which are really loud. Hi Shannon,
      Thank you for letting me know. I just tried it and it appears there is some glitch with the system. I apologize. I emailed Loop and I am waiting a response.
      Not, that you’re concerned with this, but its not about the affiliate sale for me. If you need these asap and can’t wait AND can afford to buy it without waiting for the discount to work again please do. I say this because I wont get the commission but it’s not about that for me. I just love this product so much and I wanted to let others no how awesome they are.
      Once I get word that the code is working again I’ll let you know. So sorry for the inconvenience.

      @@rebeccamann1310 I would say either the Quiet or the Experience Pro would work really well for you. If you’re trying to drown out a lot of noise while staying in one spot and you don’t need to interact with anyone then try the Quiet. It blocks out the most noise. However, if you need to walk through busy streets where you still need to hear a bit more around you or if you need to interact more, then the Experience Pro would be my recommendation. Both products are very comfortable and lower the noise efficiently. Does that help you?

    So I got the Engage Plus and the Quiets. I just put down a comment earlier but deleted it after some more experience. At first I was a little disappointed and frustrated because I couldn’t hear a difference while using them. It seam their is no difference weather using one ore the other or adding the mute or not. BUT I changed the environment or lets say the type of background noises. The quiet do really filter more then the engage and now I can also notice the difference between mute or no mute in. I bought these because of ADHD and that I am so super distracted by noises. I cannot focus, I always hear ALL noises before other people do and even if I don’t want to I listen to other people’s conversations I do and get distracted :D I also got the Engage Plus because I tend to talk way to loud especially in public because I have feel the need of overpowering everything around me, so I hope that changes now when I can block of more of the background noises. And since I would like to block even more sounds while reading or focus on something or while sleeping, the Quiet will do the Job!….So this is a great product!
