- My first product review! After a continuous and seemingly loosing battle with sound sensitivity, I shelled out for a pair of Loop earplugs to see if they'd stand up to the hype and at least for me, make work more tolerable and less anxiety-inducing.

Glad I could help! Keep in mind the review was only on the Engage ones though; I have since bought the Quiet ones. I’ll be doing a comparison soon!
Beautiful review, thank you
I bought myself a pair of the Loop Engage earplugs and they are a total lifesaver! I have never been so comfortable with the level of noise around me as I have been with the Loop earplugs.
They really do help!
Ive brought some of the engage but I don't no if they fit correctly and if I like the fact that I can't hear as much even tho lots of noise makes me overwhelmed lol I don't no what to think
Thank you for the honest review and I feel as if, well, the advertisement (and affiliate-marketing) makes it seem like the perfect product to mute out everything other which that you wish to hear. So, hearing it only lowers the volume a tad is different than what it is being advertised as. Saves me the buy, thank you.
and I bought the sony XM4 which do really help but I don't like how it mutes you out completely and they are huge, so I don't wear them outside. I am thinking of buying the sony earbuds and I hope one day they will make hearing aids or some sort which completely block certain sounds trough noise cancelling and only let trough certain noises which you choose to filter trough.
Maybe one day =/.
Great insights. Thanks
Hey! i note you also have the quiet, how have you found those? Do they quieten the sound much more than the engage? Thanks
I promise a review/comparison between the two is in the works now (next week hopefully!) now that I have a break from school!
My parents got special Bluetooth earbuds that double as hearing aids. The app for them allows you to adjust what noise they allow in, great for them to focus in on only conversations at the table in a restaurant etc. Definitely expensive but a potential solution.
That's awesome! Do you know which brand they are?
I have the plugs in but can still here you at the normal tone🤔
Great review and I agree 💯.I have severe ringing in my ears
Hi! I do think you'd do better with the Quiet ones because they are the highest reduction sound the website offers. I came here to look precisely for the Engage review because I'm also super sensitive to noise and work in a very noisy library (I know right, a library, who would've thought). However I still need to be able to hear my coworkers talking to me (clearly), I need to be able to hear conversations well, and the occasional extra hard yell or laugh that the kids do because I need to go tell them to quiet down (it's a university library, but I call them kids because they behave worse than them). I just need to muffle down some of the background noise that they do, because it drives me absolutely insane when i'm trying to work. I've even considered quitting this job many times because of how much the noise affects me - I thought being a librarian would be the perfect job for a noise sensitive anxious person, but not at this one. Would you say they are good for this situation? Thank you!
That’s interesting, I’d think a library would be ideal for sound-sensitive people. Who knew?! Depending on your level of sensitivity and amount of noise, the engage may or may not be adequate. I also have the Quiet ones - now that I’m done school for a few weeks I promise a review is coming! - and they block more noise. They do make it a bit harder to hear what’s going on around you and converse but not impossible.
@@quitting_anxiety Right, who knew. It really depends on the place. The library on a different campus of the same university is totally the opposite. I ended up ordering the engage, because the Quiet have a big decibel reduction and I do still need to understand what’s going on around me clearly. I hope they work. Thank you for your reply!
i just got these ear plugs and they just seem like a scam. i got the switch version, i got recommended them for my anxiety cus i am sensetive to noise but eh guess they either are a scam or didnt work for me.
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that they didn't work for you! Anxiety and noise-sensitivity can be subjective, and what works for one person may not work for another. Some days my sensitivity is greater, so I would like to find something discreet with a bit more noise cancelling as well, although my Loops work well for most situations for me. I've noticed a lot of companies are coming out with similar-type products, so I hope you're able to find something that works for you!
@@quitting_anxiety I mostly use my Sony over ear headphones with good noise cancelling
Just got my switch after losing my engage. I like the engage much better
