I really, REALLY hated it when Sue died. It pisses me off when they bring a survivor from a previous horror movie back for the sequel just to kill him/her.
Get used to it.

I feel really bad for Jesse. I mean, he falls in love and right after the girl he’s fallen for dies
Jesse Ryan was such a genuinely sweet and nice person. When Lisa committed suicide he expressed sympathy and remorse when he asked Tracy Campbell a popular yet cruel cheerleader doesn't it bother her that Lisa "offed" herself and Tracy reacted coldy saying she wasn't "anybody" which shocked Jesse which is why he broke up with her due to her lack of empathy. On the same night Rachel's basset hound dog Walter gets into a car accident and Jesse happens to be driving on the same road notices Rachel when she uses her telekinesis that broke his car window which gained Jesse's help. Jesse takes Rachel to the veterinarian and afterwards they go to a cafe when they have a nice talk such as Jesse displaying compassion and sincerity for Rachel as she is grieving Lisa's death. The more Jesse and Rachel spend time together they both fall in love with each other despite their social status and reputation at Bates High School but unfortunately it backfired horribly as Rachel became a target by the football team lead by Eric's friend Mark Bing a popular yet cold hearted jock that plot's to humiliate her for her involvement in the investigation of the "sex for points" game despite that it's covered up by the district attorney because the player's families have political influence. 🥺😞😭 The ending was bittersweet due to Rachel getting her revenge but at the same time she died knowing that Jesse truly and dearly loved her for who she was. My heart aches for Rachel and Jesse as they make such a cute couple as they are both down to earth and genuine as I really wanted them to be together forever as the movie would have ended on a triumphant note. 😍😎💯👍🥺😞😭

I'm still pissed off that Rachel killed Sue, the only person that tried to help her.
Well, to be fair, I don't think Rachel meant to kill her. She was killing that one dude and Sue just happened to be there.
To be unfair, I don't think Rachel was overly concerned about collateral damage either...
@@sexyahhpimpdaddy69 This is part of the reason why I don't actually hate the remake, though that seems to be an unpopular opinion. The teacher was spared, and on top of that, the massacre happened due to the love interest's death as a result of the prank, rather than humiliation becoming too much. I love the original Carrie, but felt that changing the motives, kills, and casualties of the remake, and thereby improving Carrie's likeability at the end, made it more relevant than it would've been otherwise.
She really is Carrie's sister.
Lesson: never become a therapist with tk teens
It was actually on accident, she was trying to kill the bro but didn’t know Sue was on the other side of the door.
"It's not easy to make a sequel..." Yeah, especially when the "sequel" you're making was actually meant to be a standalone film with no ties to the film it's following. :/
I think a lot of folks forget The Rage was supposed to be its own thing called The Curse, and was only retooled into a "Carrie" sequel to both cash in on the first film's success and avoid the risk of the studio being accused of plagiarism.

Sue Snell's death would've been a lot cooler if it hadn't been some random accident and Rachel probably didn't know she was even there after she killed her. There's no weight to the death of a character from the original movie whatsoever.
that's how it goes though: they introduce a character that knows what the main protagonist is going through to be a guide of sorts and inevitably kill them for shock value before the end credits.
It reminded me of Miss Collins's death in the first movie and they were probably just trying to copy that. :/
When I saw it when I was younger I remember feeling SHOCKED by it. Firstly because of how graphic and unexpected it was; secondly because it was so random and pointless and undeserved. Somehow to me that made it a lot worse.
Sue was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Sue death in sequel is nothing compared to Jenifer;s from i spit on your grave who was killed in this trash third movie
Holy crap, after all these years, I JUST realized this was the movie I saw when I was little. I definitely remember that scene of the party getting set on fire and a bunch of people getting killed.
Rachel wasn't playing no games.😅😏😈😰😱 Wacthing Rachel getting her revenge on them was so satisfying as they all deserved it as they we're very cruel and heartless due to them constructed a "sex for points" game, mocked and made fun of suicide which is a serious issue, and they recorded a intimate moment of a student and exposed it to everybody at a party.😏😈
I wish Rachel had survived. Despite being a fictional character, I felt bad for her.
The Rage Carrie 2 is one of those movies that you root for the main character instead of the sub-character's to win. It also addresses the issues of how difficult it is to be a young woman today and it shows severe or extreme consequences and circumstances of your actions as that was Katt Shea purpose and interpretation of the story which works perfectly for the movie which made it unique and special. 😍💯😎👍 Rachel Lang had a difficult, frustrating, and hard life due to her upbringing as she lost her mother to schizophrenia when she was a little girl, lives with neglectful foster parents, and is a social outcast at Bates High School but despite that she managed to be confident and bolder which I totally admire. 😍💯😎👍 When her best friend Lisa Parker committed suicide after being rejected and humiliated by Eric Stark a popular yet cruel football jock as she was a victim of a "sex for points" game conducted by the football players as they sleep with girls, dumped them, and rate them on a point value Rachel falls in deep depression and despair as her past Lisa shared a close bond as they both have matching tattoos to symbolize it. 😭😞🥺 Jesse Ryan a popular jock yet genuinely nice guy expressed sympathy and remorse for Lisa's death when he asked Tracy Campbell a popular yet cruel cheerleader doesn't it bother her that Lisa "offed" herself and Tracy reacted coldy saying she wasn't "anybody" which shocked Jesse which is why he broke up with her due to her lack of empathy. The more Jesse and Rachel spend time together they both fall in love with each other despite their social status and reputation at Bates High School. For once in her life Rachel finally got a chance of happiness in life and as a audience I was so happy for her 😍 but unfortunately it backfired horribly as she became a target by the football team lead by Eric's friend Mark Bing a popular yet cold hearted jock that plot's to humiliate her for her involvement in the investigation of the "sex for points" game despite that it's covered up by the district attorney because the player's families have political influence. 😭😞🥺 Everytime when I watch the party scene my heart aches for Rachel because not only was it humiliating it was also sad because Rachel was under the impression that she finally found social acceptance and happinesses but unfortunately the bullies show their true blue faces and intentions. 😭😞🥺 The prank work successfully but it takes a bloody and violent turn as Rachel uses her telekinesis to exact revenge. Wacthing Rachel getting her revenge on them was so satisfying as they all deserved it as they we're very cruel and heartless due to them constructed a "sex for points" game, mock and made fun of suicide which is a serious issue, and they recorded a intimate moment of a student and exposed it to everybody at a party. 😏😈 When Rachel said " I don't have anyone" I felt that in my heart as she lost everything she loves and she never felt desirable, appreciated, and loved. 🥺😞😭 The ending was bittersweet due to Rachel getting her revenge but at the same time she died knowing that Jesse truly and dearly loved her for she was. I really wanted Rachel and Jesse to be together forever as the movie would have ended on a triumphant note. 😍👍😎💯🥺😞😭

I do find it somewhat telling though about the nature of people that they're happy to see people getting all fucked up but draw the line at an animal, even when neither are actually real.
Even in movies, animals are innocent. The people dying in movies are often asshats.
@@Noobie2k7 This reminded me of a conversation I had with my Dad a while back.
We were watching one of those true crime shows; the ones that retell the events of disturbing crimes that happened in the past. This one in particular was about a woman who killed her family + dog thinking the world was gonna end the next day like it was some sort of mercy killing. The narrator said something about her having lost it and I cracked a joke saying "Yeah that was pretty clear after she killed her family" and my dad responded by saying "Yeah, but you know for sure she lost it when she killed the dog" As if the two weren't equally as crazy.
Just goes to show some people have more empathy for animals than they do for other human beings. To be fair though, dogs are capable of far less evil than a human being is, so maybe that has something to do with it.
@@lullabycyanure9029 Not really though. I mean the majority of people who are killed in slasher movies are innocent people. Still happy to watch them get killed in gory ways.
Also goes along with the idea that a horror movie villain killing an animal is used as a way to show they're really evil, as if the fact they're already murdering human beings wasn't enough. I mean realistically killing a dog is a step down from killing a person.
A good Example is the mo-vie Halloween, showing that Michael killed a dog is used as a device to show how evil and emotionless he is. Despite the fact he's murdering people already.
Yeah, I have cried three times because of movies, All Dogs go to Heaven, A Dog's Purpose, and I am Legend, and only because of the dogs.
Triva: Amy Irning (aka Sue Snell) requested having her character emotionally stuck in the 70's after the Prom tragedy. If you notice she's still dressed like she's in the 1970's and her office has posters and stuff from that era all around it.

Yes, him being a dick and shutting her down after leading her on is bad, and should be punished through social punishments (ostracization being one) but putting a 18 year old having consensual sex with a 16 year old as rape really diminishes actual rape, and the only reason why that law is put in place is because of angry parents who want to pretend that teens don't understand what sex is and want nothing to do with it.

This doesn’t even feel like it should be a Carrie movie. Besides the telekinesis the only connections it had were Sue Snell and the last 15 minutes
Well to be fair, they probably wanted a similar end result over a completely different backdrop, trying to avoid rehashing the old stuff. They obviously tried to do a thing with her mom, but they failed. It really doesn't help that the plot was pretty thin.
In the film They say that she and Carrie were half sisters born years apart. Same dad different moms

And fact that main character is girl abused on sex theme while one guy try to uplift her, but she murdered all around during party and died.

When I was a kid and I first saw this movie, I somehow thought the main character of this movie was the girl who survived the original Carrie.
I saw this movie when I was young, and I remember laughing hysterically at Rachel's mother slapping her with the paint brush. Random actions like that make me laugh pretty hard

The teacher is so realistic. When my English class got something right, boy, I’ve never heard a teacher drop a happy f bomb quite like him. Made us feel smart. Good times.
I'm definitely in the camp of "okay movie/ bad Carrie sequel." I'm perfectly fine with this movie, but the name "Carrie" is too big a cross to bear.
Maybe that is why Carrie is the subtitle?
It's almost as if they knew it was a bad movie
It's a shame -- cut out the flashbacks and any ties to the original and people would just see this as a lame cash grab wannabe-Carrie. The stories are too similar, especially with Rachel's mom's character arc/subplot.
@@TumbleFourYa apparently that IS what happened, the film was originally called the curse, and the studio had the flashbacks and Sue to avoid accidental plaigarism and to cash in on the original movie.
@@taysirtm_ The more you know!
I appreciate the sequel for the sheer fact that it kind of works as a retelling of Carrie for that time.

I was born in 1979 and i remember when this one came out, i liked it. I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as the original but on it's own it really was a product of 1999.
I love The Rage Carrie 2. I really love the themes of the movie. The themes represent loneliness, isolation, social acceptance, depression, desperation, abandonment, and hopelessness which established the personality of Rachel Lang. Emily Bergl did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Rachel Lang as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role. To me the movie really speaks out a personal message as it shows severe or extreme consequences and circumstances of your actions. Also the concept was more brutal, explicit, graphic, and violent 😰😱 than Carrie (1976). It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍👍😎💯

+lechero Official Consent doesn't matter when one party is underage, just as a legal tidbit; many people seem to not know this still, which is troubling.
Also, many people will claim that rape/assault accusations ruin the life of the accused, even when they're guilty, not stopping to think that being raped and abused often ruins lives beyond measure.
+Woomy Woomy Getting lied to by someone, sleeping with that someone, and then having that person tell the whole school and basically treating you like a tally mark, probably isn't a good way to lose your virginity. Nor is it likely good for your mental health as a teenager.
@@damianmequetrefe4924 18 is the legal age of consent in the US, not 21 (that's when you can drink). And although it was "consensual", it can still be counted as rape in a court of law. But the fact that you would even stick up for a fictional character who raped someone is worrisome. The rapists' life deserves to get ruined bc rape is never okay. Maybe you shouldn't become a lawyer anytime soon.
lechero Official statutory rape = Children can’t consent. she was under the age of consent meaning she couldn’t fully consent to the sex: therefore it was statutory rape.

This is why bullying should stop, you never know when the victim has telekinetic powers until the kill everyone.
Or they Kermit suicide and come back as a demon to haunt and kill you.
😍👍😎💯 Rachel Lang had a difficult, frustrating, and hard life due to her upbringing as she lost her mother to schizophrenia when she was a little girl, lives with neglectful foster parents, and is a social outcast at Bates High School but despite that she managed to be confident and bolder which I totally admire. 😍👍😎💯 When her best friend Lisa Parker committed suicide after being rejected and humiliated by Eric Stark a popular yet cruel football jock as she was a victim of a "sex for points" game conducted by football players as they sleep with girls, dumped them, and rate them on a point value Rachel falls in deep depression and despair as her and Lisa shared a close bond as they both have matching tattoos to symbolize it. 🥺😞😭 Jesse Ryan a popular jock yet a genuinely nice guy expressed sympathy and remorse for Lisa's death when he asked Tracy Campbell a popular yet cruel cheerleader doesn't it bother her that Lisa "offed" herself and Tracy reacted coldy saying she wasn't "anybody" which shocked Jesse which is why he broke up with her due to her lack of empathy. 😞🥺😭 Everytime when I watch the party scene my heart aches for Rachel because not only was it humiliating it was also sad because Rachel was under the impression that she finally found social acceptance and happinesses but unfortunately the bullies show their true blue faces and intentions. 😞🥺😭 The prank work successfully but it takes a bloody and violent turn as Rachel uses her telekinesis to exact revenge. Wacthing Rachel getting her revenge on them was so satisfying as they all deserved it as they we're very cruel and heartless due to them constructed a "sex for points" game, they mock and made fun of suicide which is a serious issue, and they recorded a intimate moment of a student and exposed it to everybody at a party. 😏😈 When Rachel said " I don't have anyone" I felt that in my heart as Rachel lost everything she loves and she never felt desirable, appreciated, and loved. 🥺😭😞 The ending was bittersweet due to Rachel getting her revenge but at the same time she died knowing that Jesse truly and dearly loved her for she was. I really wanted Rachel and Jesse to be together forever as the movie would have ended on a triumphant note. 😍💯😎👍🥺😭😞
"The student body crowds the students body" is probably my new favourite sentence.
Pls, Dead Meat, make a kill count of "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil" 🥺🥺🥺

The Rage is actually a controversial novel by Stephen King. Don't know why they put that name in this sequel movie to another Stephen King novel.
You mean “Rage” which was part of the Bachman books? Apart from it being a common adjective to describe an angsty teen I think the use here is coincidental.
Pecan Pie The point is that the name has a bad stigma when it comes to Stephen King.
I don't know a lot about King, why is it controversial??
_ShiningStarlight _
Rage is about a school shooting where a teenager named Charlie holds a classroom hostage after gunning down two teachers. The novel ended up being connected to a variety of real life school shootings (essays written by the shooters, owned copies, etc.). It eventually reached a point where King himself demanded that Rage would be removed from further publication out of fear of inspiring any further incidents. He goes into further detail in his 2013 essay “Guns”, which was published after the Sandy Hook Shooting.
_ShiningStarlight _ It’s a book written by him during his early years about a school shooting from the perspective of the shooter
The shot of Rachel running through the woods looks like resident evil

welcome to the kill count, where we tally up the victims in all our favorite horror movies.
i’m james a janisse, and today we’re looking at the rage: carrie 2, released in 1999.
it’s always hard to make a sequel to a classic, especially when it comes out 23 years after the original, and in the opinion of most people, the rage is an absolute failure. but i’ve got to admit, even though i didn’t grow up watching it or anything, i’ve got a weird soft spot for this movie, if only because it serves as a perfect time capsule of 1999 - as evidenced by a cast that includes mena suvari and one of the kids from home in-freaking-provement. oh, and also, this soundtrack, which is just 55 minutes of pure nostalgia, man. but there’s other stuff to enjoy here, too. i love that amy irving returns as sue snell, and emily bergl is great in a role that bounces back and forth between vulnerable and badass. and even though they don’t deal with it in the most subtle way, i’ll give this movie some credit for trying to tackle a contemporary social issue, with the plot based in part on a real life 1993 scandal involving a group of high schoolers called the spur posse. the rage may not be a GOOD movie, and if you compare it to the original it’s gonna look bad every time, but on its own, i like it’s depiction of angst and generation x. but i repeat myself. if none of what i just said is convincing, though, you’ve at least gotta give the movie credit for its balls to the walls final sequence, which gets so buck wild and graphic i had to get a sponsor for today’s episode - so i can show you all the good stuff.
