- What Bassmaster Elite anglers should you pick for your fantasy fishing team on Smith Lake? Here's some suggestions for the upcoming tournament for anglers who enjoy Bassmaster Fantasy Fishing and might need a little help selecting their team. Smith Lake offers Elite anglers largemouth and spotted bass for the tournament. This is a new lake for the Elite fisherman, as this isn't a place they have been to in some time, other than an Open tournament a couple years ago. Who will win this tournament? Who should you select in each group to help you gain points and possibly win?

Smith is so deep that you don't fish brush piles you fish the tops of submerged trees. It's nothing to be fishing a tree that's 100' tall and it will be in 150-200 feet of water. There will be some largemouth back in the pockets but i I don't know if it's enough to win the tournament.
It really makes sense. 4 days of competition on a scopeadoping lake it’ll be hard to compete with the spotlighters!
@@chaddrumm6809 cox can do it if he finds the right fish, but I agree. Hate it but agree. Cheers and tight lines!!
Thanks for the help
Thank you and good luck!! Cheers and tight lines!!
Had 2 of your picks. What was your MLF picks for the James River and Chickahominy. Thats going to be the better tournament, shallow , so many different weeds to chose from, very little FFS. Long runs, if they go to the dam on the Chick. Top water could win. Tidal waters, run and gun the tides especially the out going tides, many a win on the Potomac.
I have never done MLF but don't take Josh Weaver, he has withdrawn from the last two tournaments. Good luck!! Cheers and tight lines!!
I’m definitely choosing Hamner, he fishes it a lot and has had some videos from earlier this year (he fished with Scott Martin and Hillary). Secondly, Swindle has a ton of time in that lake. This tournament will be within ounces. I’m expecting 10-12 lbs average per day average but someone will catch a big one which will act as an extra fish. It’s going to come down to luck in my opinion. I live in central Alabama and I can’t stand Smith Lake. Smith is 200 ft deep in sections and if they roll some current, whoever is fishing the dam will smash them…. Because that’s one of the few areas that will have current. I think this tournament will be random depending on who can find the big fish. Everyone will catch a lot of fish but again they are small spots.
Oh yeah, looking back at the MLF tournament here a few years ago Connell won pretty easily but Jordan Lee was up towards the top.
LOVE the knowledge. I didn't know it was that deep, here in Florida, 20 feet deep is MILES!! I am looking forward to this tournament, and with MLF going too, it's gonna be fun. Cheers and tight lines!!
Get the scopadopers master list out!
That's the truth there!! Cheers and tight lines!!
Tyler Williams for A is the way to go
Yeah hes a great angler. Good luck!! Cheers and tight lines!!
Am going with Ben millikin your not giving him the credit he deserves
I give him a lot of credit, but these north places are a lot tougher to fish and learn. He knows how to scope for sure, but tides, crazy deep water and other things makes him less in that group, IMO. I hope he does well, cuz he's one of the biggest names in BASS. Cheers and tight lines!!
