Yeah, I was pretty bummed there were no paint cans but I appreciate Soren panned over to reassure us that they're there.
Both of the guys smiles are infectious. I caught myself as I was watching smiling every time one of them did. Video was definitely the right way to go.
Also Daniel, I don't think anyone would be too upset if you're fidgeting it's okay.
Yes! This is what I’ve been wanting! Thank you! Just do it over zoom, we don’t need a fancy set or both of you in the same place to do a video podcast.
Dan has a sick fade and looks very british.
On the subject of cars. I started driving a 2018 car with the camera for backing up. Got used to it. Then went back to some 2005 car and found myself staring at the CD player while backing up.
Oh my god, I relate to that
Same Note Too!
I don't know how, but Daniel looks younger than in Agents of Cracked.
They could rename the podcast to the Bare Arms Boys, Soren for his changing belief on gun ownership and Daniel for his love of wearing shirts without sleeves.
And also the Soren should wear the belt during all podcasts
Of course Dan knows Corey Feldman’s band. He ranted about it in glorious fashion for about 15 minutes in an excellent episode of OPCD back in the day :)
Oh well, guess I should have waited three more minutes for Dan to bring it up himself :P
Yayyy I like that the video is back. It makes it better i think.
Soren:"...a glimpse at the sad disorder of my life"
*Shows a tidy, well-lit garage which looks 100x better than any place I have ever lived*
Thanks for that, Soren.
Boy, this episode took a turn. Soren is slowly turning into Libertarian Dad.
You might say...an American Dad?
*Camera pans down from a clear blue sky onto a beach*
Music plays: "I've got a quick quick question for you alright..."
*Soren and Daniel run, jump, and frolic through the sand in slow motion until one or both of them get injured or catch a cold or something*
Those are amazing paint cans, like front yard good. Don't hide those sweet cans.
How is it that they both look younger than the last on camera video....is this podcast granting them eternal youth?
I'm not even a parent but I feel for Soren. I can only imagine how frustrated my parents were and how much money they spent on my dumb whims on what I wanted to learn as a kid. Guitar, skateboarding, snowboarding, all things I wanted to learn, my parents paid for stuff, but I never stuck to any of them.
Sorry, parents.
It was so great seeing you both on video again for your show. I give you both 8 out of 10. You both had such nice backgrounds. Too bad the O'Beach sign was too bright when it on. Soren made such a nice recording corner, I never would have guessed the paint cans were just off camera. Can't wait to see more. ♥
Wild coincidence, my son just started bass lessons a few weeks ago, and his first song was Brown Eyed Girl too.
Can confirm, "guns are cool, pew pew pew" is 99% the reason people are into guns. Also, one of the other reasons that you only really ever hear about guns from gun nuts is that gun nuts are usually the only people willing to jump through all the legal hoops that Soren described. Each state has their own laws, and people who travel between states have to know all the laws in each state they go to and how those laws overlap and interact. Dispite what the news says, in most states in the US, it's actually kind of difficult and time consuming to be a causal gun owner. They're expensive, they require regular maintenance, and they require a ton of legal hoops to jump through. There's an entire culture around gun ownership, and actually firing the gun is like 0.1% of that culture.
The "home defense and protection" is the popular argument, but if that were really the main reason people bought and owned guns, we wouldn't have so many shooting ranges in the US, and the ones we did have would be more like DMV's. For whatever reason, lots of gun owners are convinced they're important enough to rob or kidnap, but only by people who aren't smart enough to commit those crimes without getting shot. The Home Invasion excuse is a power fantasy fueled by decades of Stallone/Schwertzenegger style action movies and people who believe in that argument get boners because home invasion is a legally justifiable excuse to kill someone in lots of states. Not saying you shouldn't defend yourself if you have to, but these people are just so horny for an excuse to kill that they secretly kind of want someone to break in to their house.
Are you guys fans of Peep Show? There's a great episode where Jez inherits an old gun. They name it gunny and take turns walking around the apartment with it. It's hilarious if you haven't seen it. I can't stop thinking about it when Soren gives us updates on the gun saga. Love you guys! Great to see your beautiful mugs!
Living in a state that I can legally concealed carry without a permit, the gun part of the podcast really blew my mind!
We KNOW Daniel knows about Corey Feldman's band because he did an entire video about it that I still occasionally watch.
I wonder how Soren's kids will feel when they find out how much their dad talked about their childhood
As a 40 year old man that doesn't know how to do anything other than sink, you can definitely be a guy that doesn't swim. I'm confused by "stuff is just going to happen" and "it's not going to be your choice a lot of the time". What are people doing out there that is forcing people to know how to survive in water?
Soren's veil of security was falling off at 16:15 - 16:18 with that crazed look in his eyes and gaping smile, desperate for the acknowledgement of his heroic instincts.
BOWEN AND O'BRIEN ARE BACK TOGETHER?!?! WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING!?!?!
For like five years
Quick question: When running to his kids' room, did Soren jump and touch the door frame as he entered?
Maybe add a mirror. So we can still see the paint cans across the room.
Dan describing litmus test for gun lovers is literally the way I dealt with my gun loving neighbor. He always was invoking "self-defense self-defense" but I'd just smile and ask if he just loves guns. He always refused, despite skipping rent on multiple months to buy MORE guns
I highly prefer the video, but I understand the various reasons it doesn't line up/isn't worth it.
Any chance of a Some More News appearance some time? How is the old Cracked crew?
So at some point can we get the lyrics to the theme song i've been wanting that since its inception please and thank you!
The only time I have felt an earthquake was when I was on holiday in LA, and it was so mild I thought the hotel room next to mine were just having really energetic sex 😂
Hey Soren and Daniel! Trying to reach out to y'all to see if I can't nab either of you to guest on an upcoming podcast, having trouble finding where to message you though so reaching out here.
What's the name of the podcast, to see if they end up on it.
Woah, I'm first... And super excited!
Dan people get their bar or bat mitzvah’s when they’re 13 not 16.
The whole gun conversation is just to weird to some of us in the middle of the country.
woo! look at those faces
Quick comment
you guys should stop trying to photoshop your heads on human bodies
