    Damn this is the one in a million crossfit videos I see with great clean form, thank you for making the last 50 half ass, half front squat, clean videos, I watched not frustrating.

      +Christoffer “FightingVideos” Nilsson Well, he DOES own a CrossFit affiliate. He was an OLY lifter first, and of course has impeccable form. I didn't see anywhere that CrossFit said that he learned it from them.

    Chad Vaughn isn't a crossfitter. A quick Google search will reveal that. That's why his form is impeccable.

      Crossfit had its faults, but doing crossfit doesn't pre determine bad form. That's like saying football players always suck at cleaning because they aren't weightlifters. If anything, crossfitters ate more likely to do the lifts right than most other athletes in most other sports

      I mean. you can say that. But dchen is partly right. He is an olympic lifter and that is why his form is impeccable. He just so happened to join in on crossfit too.

      I didn't get that anywhere here at all, in fact quite the opposite. He does weightlifting seminars for crossfit, so more like he's taking credit for improvement in their form.

    Agree. CF saw how much one can benefit from those lifts, so they do them, for reps and for 1 rep maxes. That is what CF is all about, taking all the best things that other athletes do, and combining them into one killer workout that everyone and their mom likes to bag on.

    Shows how impressive the human body is along with the lift. For a split second he is supporting his full body weight plus 315 on one leg. I know it's brief, but the video depicts how impressive the lift is/was.

    Love how people hate on crossfit. People look at the elite crossfitters and tell me theyre form is bad, then go to most gyms and do the same. You cant. You feed on you tube videos and label it all bad. Fact is I put more effort in my warmup than most of you do in a hour of working out and posing in a mirror. My form is great because our coach has over 15 years of experience in oly lifting and crossfit is only apart of it because its fresh and brings people in. So get educated

    The intent of this video is not to show an immense lift. Its to demonstrate the technique behind the lift. If you have ever done Clean and Jerk, or any Olympic Lift, then you should know the complexity of the movement is hard to achieve at full speed. To see it from a professional in slow motion helps all of us who are honest in trying to improve ourselves.

    Charles Barnett, on Chad's last video there was an accompanying video where the lift in real time. He also talks thrpugh the lift frame by frame. I expect he will do similar with this. The snatch in real time was so fast, blink and you might miss it!

    No not really, we are taught to thrust our hips very hard in order to bring the barbell higher so it causes the bar to come forward slightly. It also allows us to get under the bar quickly this way as well. It looks a little weird but that's how we're taught to do it.

    Depends on the technique. The burgener method has no hip bump, but if you look at other coaching techniques from Glenn Pendlay he coaches a hip bump in the clean. Regardess the bar won't be in a completely straight path, but it will be mostly straight while it is raised off of the ground.
