- In this video we take you on a tour of just some of the highlights of the Balmoral Estate. At the very heart of the estate is Balmoral Castle, the private residence of the Royal family for over 170 years.
Set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings, visitors can walk around the grounds via the numerous trails. Let our video take you around some of these trails.
Thank you, what an awesome tour. I am 88 and permanently living in a nursing home in East Texas. With a lot of free time on my hand. This was a real treat for me! I visited And toured London in June, 1981. Loved every moment of it . i have also been interested in the Royals since 1952: as my oldest son was born in MARCH OF THAT YEAR.THE year of Queen’s Coronation. I knew nothing of the history of this castle. 😅I sincerely thank you for the historical tour and lectures!
Hi Penny!
Hope you are well.
🌷
Godspeed 🕊
Apparently much of the interior is kept as it was decades ago. It sits on something like 50,000 acres.
All the best.
You are most welcome.
Oh man. ❤lady you are my inspiration. you are 88 years young. I love that you use CZcams can navigate the Internet. Living in a nursing home and still have a grateful and young heart. I really want to be like you at that age. ❤
I’m an American, but I loved and respected the Queen. Her beautiful smile and kind heart will be missed the world round.
I agree. I think she was a amazing person. May she rest peacefully 🕊️🌹
You need to visit balmoral its magical
It's easy to see why the Queen loved Balmoral.
Thank you for your kind words about our beloved, late Queen. ❤🇬🇧🇺🇸
Today is a sad day as Queen Elizabeth has passed away here at age 96, this day September 8, 2022. Thank you so much for providing a glimpse of the place she so dearly loved. Blessings to you.
We visited Balmoral last year. There is so much wonderful history here and I have read a lot about it and seen pictures, but to be there was just fabulous. I am an American, born in England , with Scottish blood in my DNA , AND I just loved it. Truly a dream come true.
Beautiful, no wonder the Queen loved being there. RIP Queen Elizabeth
lovely
Thank you, it was so lovely today to see where the Queen has spent her final days. We miss her already. We mourn with The Royal Family and Great Britain at this time. Saying Hello from Australia. When I retrace my ancestry in Scotland I will be sure walk one of these trails at Balmoral.
hi Leonie
I can see why the Queen loved this location. Thank you for the video. I've only ever seen a photo of the castle and never realized how much the surrounding area is like the woods and meadows of western Oregon (USA). I'm glad she had a place to retreat to each year... to leave behind most of her daily responsibilities and the noise of the city. Miss her already. God bless the Queen and God save the King.
- With love from America
hi Rachel
What a lovely tour! As an American, one who doesn’t have the opportunities to travel, I very much enjoyed and appreciated this tour. Thank you!
Glad to hear that you enjoyed it.
Oh me too! Loved the tour ❤️
no one is stopping you but you. just do it marj

The Scottish countryside has to be the most stunning in the UK , it’s on my bucket list ❤️
Wales is also beautiful.
I too have it on my bucket list. I want to lie in the heather.
Wales, Ireland, Devon & Cornwall are all beautifull, as is the Lake District.
It is wild, and breathtaking. Make sure to travel through Glencoe and up to Arrochar if you can. Greetings from Cape Town 💐
If you can be sure to go to Shetland. A most gorgeous place and unique scenery
What a beautyful, mystic and calm place to be. It must be a great pleasure to spend the holidays and weekends in this part of scotland.
Beautiful place,
I can see why Queen Elizabeth II enjoyed it so much. The lay of the land reminds me of where I live in Oregon state USA. Condolences to all regarding the News of the Queen today.
What a lovely place! I never expected this castle to have such lush green forests and gardens and even mountains? surrounding it...The whole place has a secluded and restful feel to it, but remains stately ...No wonder The Queen loved spending her time here...She probably didn't have many opportunities to be out in nature and have some privacy. RIP Your majesty. Your 70 years of tireless public service will forever be remembered!
I'm leaving on a trip to the UK October 1st 2022. Will start in London and end in Edinburgh. I sure to enjoy some goreous scenery. My last time in the UK was back in 1988, so it's been quiet some time.
@@craig9843 that's nice... Enjoy! I'm not a traveler, so these videos are as close as I'll ever get. Lol.. beautiful country! Stay safe..
@@craig9843 Edinburgh and everywhere north of that is amazing
@@Jamiet136 Thank you. I’m looking forward to it.
@@lynneaiken1647 Thanks
Beautiful, peaceful place.
I’d sit by the river every chance I had..
No wonder the Queen stayed there for months.
And yes, the movie Mrs. Brown was very good!
Another American here from Illinois, beautiful grounds and trees leading up to the castle. I can understand why the Queen loved Balmoral so much. What a peaceful place to live in. I don't enjoy living like a sardine or little fish on a tin can, but I'm not royal. Beautiful video also & I love the accent of the narrator. I did see the movie about John Brown it was excellent.

I was lucky enough to go on a tour when I was in the military stationed in Germany. My grandfather sounded about the same as this gentleman. Over the years in the US, he lost some of it. I never got tired of listening to him telling me stories about Edinburgh.
hi me old mate
What a beautiful piece of land, thank you for taking the time to show this to us, I’ve always been curious about Balmoral.
Such a beautiful place to visit. You honestly feel like you're stepping in the footsteps of past Royals.
RIP Your Majesty. Thank you for your 70 years of inspirational service. You will remain admired but will be greatly missed.
Balmoral is beautifully scenic and the trails bring out the beauty of the forest.
yip
Stunning grounds no wonder the Queens loved this home so much ! Thank you
I saw Balmoral Castle this summer..what a wonderful and magic place. The Queen loved it so much.
Can you actually go inside Gloria ?
@@harmony3395 You can only visit the Ballroom inside but you can make a nice walk through the park and go along the Dee River...it's a wonderful place.
Why is it called bal moral?
Is it a Scottish name, old name?

Balmoral...Far from the Madding Crowd...beautiful!! 😍💯🎈
Thank you for sharing! As an American, that’s a dream to see. No wonder the Queen loved it up there. May she Rest In Peace. 💕💕
I love that Prince Albert introduced Germanic architectural features to Balmoral. My days, Germany still has the most beautiful castles in the world!
What an amazing place, beautiful gardens. I can see why the Queen enjoyed being there
I enjoy listening to a man with the Scottish accent.
Lived in Banchory for 5 years and drove past Balmoral many times, on the way to lovely hikes, seen the Highland games and around the loch where the Queen Mother had a residence. What great memories of Scotland and he friends we made.

My maternal great grandmother was born at Balmoral ca. 1841 before Albert bought it. Her father was a gamekeeper. She turns up in Nova Scotia in the 1861 census.
That is amazing and what a great family connection to have with the area.
Lovely and poignant to see the World's beloved Queen's home of her soul and were she found everlasting peace.
Is no one else asking what she died of ??? I’m Scottish 🏴 and I also live where she died in beloved Scotland, where she rests in Edinburgh. I don’t know about anyone else- but it strikes me her sudden death Doesn’t make sense - how she died 48 hours after being seen so healthy. She also was in great form at weekend with guest Rev Iain Greenshields for lunch on Saturday and dinner on Sunday. He gave her a wooden cross as he departed. Which she accepted. Then she worked Tuesday reviving old and new PM…/!:The she’s suddenly dead. No cause Of death nothing. All very fishy. What did she die of. Why no hospital intervention. What are we not told what she died of. Mobility issues don’t kill you in 48 hours!!! Anyone know anything about this ??? With Thanks x
@@AyeWitness She was old. Let it rest already
@@AyeWitness The dear lady was 96 increasingly frail & doing less. Some are saying The Queen had bone cancer, maybe her majesty did & did not want it talked about. May peace of mind rest with everyone.
I enjoyed this video very much! I'm an American and I know I will never get to see lovely places like this. Thank you so much for the wonderful tour.
Go see the Adirondack park’s in upstate NY, nothing like it in the world!

Hello from New York 🇺🇸
thank you for this video. now we get to see the place where the Queen spent her last days.
Having seen this, I understand why Queen Elizabeth loves it so much. Balmoral is so special! I love youtube because I get to see places like this, places I will never see in person. You can't help but wonder what the castle looks like inside. I will bet it is awesome. What a life that family has lived. I hope their hearts are worthy of it. I know I would love it....
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it.
I hear you LOUD AND CLEAR about places that you'll never see in person. It takes A LOT OF MONEY and the vast majority of us Americans can't and won't be able to afford the trip.
@@greeneyedwarlock882 I live in North Wales UK and I shall never afford to go to America. Shame.

I hear what you are saying but it is her private residence.

Loved this...I have seen Mrs Brown about 20 times!! God bless the dearly departed Queen.
I also found the movie kind of romantic, been a few years. Good movie.
I think the Scottish countryside is beautiful. Unfortunately, the closest I will ever come is to it is through my Cairn Terrier. I loved this tour of the grounds. Thanks so much!
Enjoyed this video! I can definitely see why she loved it there! It’s beautiful!
Fascinating scenery!
Very nice tour. I visited more than 40 years ago, in that time you could only see the castle through the gates and then visit the Kirk the Royal family goes to.
Beautiful scenery....
