I’m an atheist but just prior to me switching over from religion I took a bible class and found that Jesus was not the first who was raised from the dead in the bible. I was shocked to realize that according to the bible coming back from death was not a rare thing. Going to bible study to become a good christian was the first step toward atheism for me.

Christianity began as sun worship, the stories about Jesus are symbolic.
He is just a personification of the sun, made into a god figure later on.
The sun "dies" for 3 days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north.
In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be "born of a Virgin"
The sun rising in the morning is "the saviour of mankind"
The sun is "The light of the World"
The sun "walks on water" is just the reflection of the sun on water/the sea.
"He cometh on clouds, and every eye shall see him", is just sun rays.
Jesus' "crown of thorns" is just the sun's glare, also know as a halo.
The sun's "followers", "helpers" or "disciples" are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass.
The sun at 12 noon is in the house or temple of the "Most High": thus.."he" begins "his Father's work" at "age" 12.
The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 30 degrees, hense, the "Sun of God" begins his ministry at "age" 30.
The sun is hung on a cross or "crucified", which represents its passing through the equinoxes.
The vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected.
The reason why saviour myths are so similar with a godman who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astrotheological development that can be found throughout the planet, because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe.
In other words, Jesus Christ and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun throug the heavens.

bradleysan; well, since none of us alive today were present in 33AD, we have only what God reveals to us through His Word, which we take by faith as we begin to see and hear its message of truth. Some hear/heed that message and others dismiss it, but as believers in Christ's love and promise exercise our faith in Him, the miraculous happens - we are given the evidence, unseen and unacknowledged by the world, that WE need to recognize God's ever-presence in our lives and in the world today. John 3 16 invites you to know and experience God’s love and promise to you personally, while He still can be found.

Sai Baba’s followers claimed he was resurrected after 3 days and that was in 2011. They claim he healed the sick as well. And even though it was quite recently, there is no evidence for it beyond claims. In the age of mobile phone cameras no one thought to whip one out and start filming. Funny that. However, unlike Jesus, we at least can prove that Sai Baba existed.

My wife from South America tells of several instances where "dead" people revived, because the custom was often to bury within 24 hours without embalming, so coma or catalepsy was the explanation. The most probable reason that the claim was made that 'Jesus resurrected' (given that he existed) is that he didn't die on the cross. Joesephus relates a story that two of his friends were crucified and he went to authorities and got permission to take them down. One died but the other recovered even though he had been on the cross for several hours. Jesus was only on the cross for several hours before Joseph of Aramathea took him down.

You are very confused. Yes, Constantine was a believer in Mithras the sun god and converted to Christianity but that was in the fourth century.
December 25th was a significant date centuries before Christ for practical reasons and in pagan religions. It was not Jesus's birth date but was taken over by the church, along with other dates, to turn pagan celebrations into christian ones.

Jesus a Jew supposedly sent by the Jew’s God (himself) to save the Jews as their Messiah as supposedly prophesised in their holy book, (The Bible V 1.0 or the Tanakh) the holy book that is the word of their God and their Law which Jesus supposedly said he came to uphold (but didn’t), Matthew 5:17 -5;19 The Pro Roman Version and change it they did! as can be clearly seen if you bother to read it. Unfortunately, although the Jews were expecting a Messiah Jesus didn’t fit the bill and he wasn’t believed by the Jewish Religious leaders, regardless of the later Roman propaganda (The Jews were obviously ATHEISTIC about Jesus’s status) and they turned him over to the Romans as a troublemaker and he was strung up in accordance with Roman Law as a trouble maker, of course as a God he would have known all this was going to happen and of course how do you KILL an immortal GOD. So, after being crucified and PRETENDING to die he came back to life as any old Roman God would do and as prophesised in the Bible v 2.0 and for some inexplicable reason became the Messiah of the Romans who also for some inexplicable reason absorbed the Jewish god (The one that created the Universe with a Big Abracadabra) into their own pantheon of Gods and slowly over the next few hundred years created a not very convincing history for Jesus, full of melodramatic nonsense about how he preached about being the Son of God and was good at magic tricks and liked to make wine, walk on water, raise the dead Oh and make take away picnic meals for five thousand Jews, from a few scraps of bread and some fish, just like a ROMAN GOD, WHAT’S NOT TO BELIEVE? Virgin birth, magic tricks, dies and comes back to life and resurrects dead mates, cures blind people, hangs about with lepers and gets annoyed with a fruit tree that didn’t bear fruit out of season, then for the next 2000 years make shit up trying to explain why, when the real reason is that the Romans new religious GRIFTS as their OLD ones were no longer believed and exiled back to their supernatural, interdimensional home outside space and time.
And Jesus, the itinerant JEWISH PREACHER wandered about the desert for over 20 years with his entourage of twelve TALIBAN Ultra Conservative fanatical Zealots not averse to terrorist threats and actions The real miracle is that there is not one mention in either the Old Jewish Holy book or the New pro Roman Holy book that Jesus was actually going to be the ROMAN EMPIRE’S MESSIAH but that is what they will have you believe, that this Jewish preacher God Man was to become the Chief Roman God Man, on a stick no less, that will help the Romans to continue to persecute the Jews (Gods own chosen people, NOT) for the next two thousand years, and just like many of the pantheon of Roman Gods had characteristics that were stuck onto the Jesus God man on a stick and became a three in one God no less, at a ‘Committee meeting’ chaired by a Pagan Emperor some three hundred years after they strung him up. The best bit is that everyone was to become ATHEISTIC about Jupiter and Co and become the ROMAN God man on a stick follower and call themselves Christians, and now 2000 years later we have over 4000 Sects, Denominations, Orthodoxies Churches and Congregations, slaughtering each other to prove that they are the TRUE CHRISTIANS and follow the ‘I won’t change anything’ lying tree beating asshole Jesus. The ridiculous thing is the Jewish Messiah was to save the Jews from their enemies, the Christian Messiah was to save humanity, but never says who they are to be saved from, and curiously few from outside the Roman Empire had heard of Jesus but did need saving from the Roman Catholic Christian genocidal maniacs.

@@Gamefan86 But a lot is ignorant and no not of these things. For they actually have been blinded by it. A old Egyptian curse onto the robbers of the temples. It takes a colorful mind to understand of these things. This is what we need more of. Thinking like human beings and not thinking like animals. For you are complete, but then how are you going to reach them? It must start at the point of creation that all be free. Meditations without words.
