Hey I’m Josh from Adelaide, South Australia. I'm a proud father of 3 and passionate about heavy music.
I was the bass player for post-hardcore/alternative rock group Capulet from 2004-2012, releasing an album, EP and several demos.
Capulet were signed to Red Bull and the Taperjean Music Group alongside Closure in Moscow and The Mission in Motion.
Highlights of my music career were playing with amazing bands like Anberlin, Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Haste the Day, Awaken I Am, and touring Australia several times.
I wasn’t the most technical bass player, but lived for performing on stage. I have always loved the process of song writing and the visual art that accompanies music.

Tosin Abasi, Javier Reyes on the guitars and Matt Garstka on the drums. All 3 incredible musicians! I'm surprised you haven't heard them before. But I'm glad you finally did!

They do have bass on the albums, it's just recorded by one of the guitarists. They don't have a permanent bassist.

If you ever check out any more of their stuff, Tosin did a Live at NAMM thing years back and did The Woven Web.
Watching his hands is one of the most surreal experiences. It's like watching an anime fight in real life.

Fun fact. I did see they play a few shows with Evan Brewer on bass live and it was incredible.

They use a pitch shifter in their recordings (one Octave lower)and a 8 string guitar with the first 6 strings in standard tuning 7th string low A
    8th string low #C.

I mean end of the day it is bass guitar, it’s just also a baritone and tenor guitar too lol. It’s in a bass register, it’s especially extended range multi scale neck, the pickups are designed to handle bass better and cleaner than a typical “tenor” guitar. It’s just a two string bass guitar lol
