  • The history of the Khaenri'ahns and their research into Forbidden Knowledge is something that has puzzled me since patch 3.1 in Sumeru. After all, Khaenri'ah is a nation located beneath Sumeru and their King, Irmin, shares the same name with the heart of Teyvat's Ley Line System, Irminsul... Which is also located in Sumeru.
We have come to learn a lot of valuable information during the Fontaine patch cycle and from what I have gathered, it appears that the "Gods" that destroyed Khaenri'ah might have been much closer to home than one would've first imagined.
What if I told you that Irmin is the Primordial One?
My search has led me to an unexpected turn of events. Perhaps the Gods of Celestia, were once Khaenri'ahns who embraced powers... From beyond Teyvat.
    Thanks for watching!

Believe it or not, there is still more that I haven't talked about or covered completely in this video. I could have gone over a few other details with Rhinedottir but I will save those for a different time. At any rate, in Part 2 we will be talking about "Dreams" a lot which is why that video involves Kaeya, Layla, and Paimon. It will be interesting, to say the least.
*I will leave notes and additional information below as I find them*
    - Siegfried (the third cycle of The Ring of Nibelung) is also the name of Kiana's father, Siegfried Kaslana.
    - Fischl's Domain in the Golden Apple Archipelago limited-time event has a crack in the sky akin to the ones from Neuvillette's teaser and the Dream Realm of Jakob Ingold. Also similar to the one which the All-Devouring Narwhal (which is a Star Beast) makes.
    - The protagonist of the Legend of Saha, known as Misei Nana Tsuki, became the archetypal model for some of Hoyoverse’s biggest characters including but not limited to Aether, Kiana Kaslana, Kallen Kaslana, Qiqi, March 7th, Durandal, Theresa, Raiden Mei, Himeko Murata, Kevin Kaslana, Nahida, Rukkhadevata, Lumine, Paimon, Makoto, Robin, Beelzebul, Marius von Hagen, Cecilia Schariac, Siegfried Kaslana and the list goes on and on.
    - Weiyang mentions how during her time with her father, the Celestial Emperor, she was in charge of conducting trials and sentencing at the end. This runs in tandem with how Ereshkigal and Ishtar’s brother, Utu, also known as Shamash by the Akkadians, was the God of the Sun that could see everything that happened in the world every day and was therefore responsible for justice and protection of travellers and was thusly dubbed as the Divine Judge.
    - The "Judgement of Shamash" happens to be a God Key used by the Kaslana Family in Honkai.
    - Laevatain, the Sword of Mir and Khan the Asura, is said to have been the sword that burnt the world asunder during the war of the Gods. This is convenient because the sword in the context of Fontaine refers to the Traveler. The Traveler is said to be a monster and a calamity by the Black Serpent Knights and the Melusine Canotila calls him a Beast that will devour the world in a single bite. This description should be consistent with Nibelung and his sword (Third Descender).
    - Otto could be Dain rather than Irmin, but that's a different topic.

@@thependragone The Legend of the Shattered Halberd mentions two supreme divinities: the "God King" and the "Celestial Emperor" but the story does not state whether they are the same or different.
In this video, I assumed that they are the same. However, you could make a different argument and say that they are different which changes things a lot actually.
In that situation, Khan the Asura (who was a good friend of the Celestial Emperor) would be Irmin and the God King would be Nibelung while the Emperor would be the Primordial One.

Thanks for the awesome video. The cooking took a while but the result was delicious.
Just wanted to add some info here about Gods/Deva, Humans & Asuras you mentioned about with an important detail you possibly missed.
Hinduism & Zoroastrianism do the switcheroo with the concept of Deva & Asura. So you are correct on "who is evil" & "who is good" depends on which religion you follow probably.
Zoroastrianism calls good god "Ahura Mazda" which has same indo-iranian source for the sanskrit word "Asura" aka "Daitya" mentioned in Hindu scriptures but they are the bad demigods in the hindu mythologies.
Buddhism have similar concept around them being the evil creating chaos.
In Hinduism, Celestial Gods are called "Deva". This includes the main Trinity gods Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva as well as the good gods & demigods who reside in heavens. God "Indra" being the king of the heavenly gods has various similaries to the gods of War, Rain & Thunder of other cultures. Zeus from Greek myths is a good example.
Both Deva/Suras & Daitya/Asuras are basically cousin clans who are descendents of Brahma's son "Kashyapa" & his 2 wives.
There are 3 realms "Loka" in hinduism, Devas reside in Heaven aka "Swarg loka", Humans live on Earth aka "Prithvi loka" usually linked with the female goddess Pritvi/Bhumi like greek goddess Gaia & Hell aka "Paataal loka" where Asuras reside.
The whole ordeal between devas & asuras is about who gets to rule all the three realms/ lokas.
Also, there is a legend where a powerful asura defeated all the devas & takes over heavens & could only be killed by a woman due to some boon. So, to defeat him, the devas gather a part of their powers to create a new female god to fight him.
Now what you missed was that in sumeru, Aranaras call the Hillichurls "Deva/Devas".
So, whether we go by Hinduism or Zoroastrianism, the theory of Khaenriahns being humans who became Gods of Celestia or they are related to Dragons actually has some validity.

If I remember correctly the Chasm was created when the Solar Chariot crashed and the ancient people there repaired it and flew to Celestia. That could explain there being Khaenri'ahns in Celestia.
Also there has been a certain symbol that has slowly been popping up more and more that nobody has really mentioned much about. It's the big jade structure that they use in Chenyu Vale to perform the ritual, it's also at the top of the digital Irminsul tree in the Wanderer story quest, and is the same shape as the docks around Fontaine. That's just a few of the places it's been making it's subtle appearance. But in regards to it being on the top of the Irminsul tree, I do know that the Irminsul pillars typically had a nail driven into their tops to represent the seat of the family/clan head who was responsible for "Sustaining" the Family/Clan's "Principles". Sometimes this would be replaced with a carved figurehead which would make the Irminsul pillar look a lot like a statue of the seven.

42 minutes in: you might find it interesting - Narfidort is probably a misspelling. I noticed in Jp that they said it as "Nafidotto", which sounded similar to Rhinedottir (both are pronounced as "dotto" at the end and someone confirmed for me that this holds in Chinese too) - it's extremely likely that Narfidort is supposed to be Narfidottir, daughter of Narfi. Narfi was the father of Nott, the personification of the night. So Fischl's full title translates to "Fischl, Princess of Judgement, of the Castle in the Sky, Daughter of Narfi the Personified Night"

The people of Khaenri'ah are not based on ancient scandinavian/germanic people. They are based on the Holy Roman Empire, a germanic conglomerate of states, that had several extentions throughout the centuries till it became Prussia/Austria and then Germany and Austria. I say this because we know for sure that the order of knights, the Schwanenrittern, was an order of HRE knights AND the fact that the poem of the Black Serpents Knights we find in the Chasm is written in latin, thus making the Germanic people we met thus far from Khaenri'ah, somewhat istitutionally tied to Latin reigns (Remuria, since they were close to Fontaine?). Also, some names and titles of the guards we find in the notes on the giant ruin guards are real titles of HRE guards. Now, considering some historical points that both Liyue and Inazuma give us (the Sakoku decree, Liyue Piracy etc...) Genshin is probably set somewhere around 1600 AD, which would make the end of Khaenri'ah happen around 1100 AD, AROUND THE TIME THE REAL HRE STARTED TO BE CALLED "HOLY". It makes sense for a nation with no gods, to end when the gods wanted to make the empire Holy, right?

    • @amouramarie
      @amouramarie Před 3 měsíci +11

Not farfetched at all! Focalors, Furina and Neuvillette all form a Jesus analogy. Furina as "the perfect human" born without sin and created just to suffer for the sake of humans, Focalors as the martyr on the cross, and Neuvillette as divine resurrection and the forgiveness of original sin.

This man has basically created a movie about a theory... I've already seen it twice and I'm here for a third because Wow.
Something that I would like to add to the topic of the mother of the night and the primordial is something that is mentioned in a book called veras melancholy.
The first is that in the story, the protagonist ends up meeting a knight from a space empire, who goes through the universe hunting space beings, throwing one of them through a portal through which the universe could be observed, similar to how Skirk did with the narwhal.
The second thing is that eventually the protagonist meets the princess of the stellar empire, there it is mentioned that her father, the emperor, owns many worlds, one of them being a world where he left his servants in charge, and then went to sleep. leaving the princess watching over the empire.
The third thing is that the book mentions the Oracle of Delphos (the one in our world) as well as a place found in Enkanomiya as the home of the protagonist.
Finally, it is mentioned that the author of the book, who is anonymous, has not released the last chapter.
That book, along with those mentioned in the video, have been there since day one of the game, which seemed to make no sense at that point, but seeing how the story of the game itself has progressed, each day they seem to have more relevance.

20:31 For those who are unaware, Cai Haoyu was recently the subject of an enormous amount of backlash and criticism (primarily from the CN player base) due to the Dr. Ration/Genshin rewards drama. Unfortunately, most of the backlash he got was from people who don't understand game design (or business in general) and think that due to his position as Genshin's Lead Producer, he is responsible for EVERY decision in the company. People were insulting him and comparing him to Honkai: Star Rail's Producer and saying that he should resign from the company.

Ok, first of all, thank you so much for spelling out Flowers for Princess Fischl's lore and Legend of Shattered Halberds' lore, it helped so much with the details that I haven't wrap my head around it 🙏
I have some comments but I guess I'll save it for the second part of this video... but I'll say some anyway:
for 16:34 & 19:14 I always go back to Byakuyakoku vol. 5 no. 6 riddle, where Istaroth is both primordial child of her own descendants (pale and dark) and the mother of 14 billion years (when I searched for this, apparently it's an approximate age of the universe?) so I guess Ereshkigal being the night mother also makes sense, like in Focalors-Furina/Ei/Nahida situation? (I think the distinction is not that necessary)
Also, someone said that Istaroth might be the portmantaeu of Isthar + Thoth?
If I had to put it in Sumeru math and force it:
    Phanes = Deshret
Istaroth = GoF (Nabu in Nabu Malikata = scribe = Thoth)
(somewhere they split into Sumeru playables?)
Deshret = Al-Haitham (Thoth) + Kaveh (Ishtar, because red ~ dawn?)
GoF = Nilou (Ishtar?) + Dori (Thoth = hermes = merchant)
(Dori because she introduced Nilou and Kaveh made Palace of Alcazarzaray for her, and pink and have jinn)
And to think that Barbeloth added 'Trismegistus' for her name (?)
    *Edit:
-Sorry, forgot to add why is it Dori's pink hair; Vourukasha wearer in TCG wear Nilou's wardrobe (minus the horns?) but with pink hair (might be just a pilgrim but still, the queen/heir in BP trailer has pink hair)
-I didn't give enough information about Dori introduced Nilou 🤦‍♀, there's a reason but that's just my speculation
    ...
I know you're cooking Kaeya/Layla content (ever since you mentioned Kaeya, I really look forward to it) but I just wondering... if you would consider Diluc into this? Like you know, he is, glaringly red? (...might a good add for the sword thing, along with Dainsleif/Surtalogi?)

When you put it THAT way....
      Phanes... is Deshret... is Irmin?!
Will we find out that he was also REMUS?!
We already know that he has "unsurpassed authority" and shared governance of Remuria with four humans of great capability known as the Four Harmosts.
And this would fit in perfectly with the theory of there being four samsaras. Every major civilization was just Phanes rebuilding all over again?!
...This would ALSO imply that Phanes is NOT the current ruler of Celestia, since Deshret opposed Celestia.
....Could this mean that Phanes is also Nibelung and NOT the Heavenly Principles? Are the Primordial One and the Dragon King THE SAME BEING?!
We know that Nibelung sought forbidden knowledge to oppose "the Usurper" just as Deshret sought forbidden knowledge to oppose Celestia, just as Irmin used forbidden knowledge to oppose Celestia...
      UNLESS
Unless each of those incarnations were one of the four shining shades? Phanes, Remus, Deshret, AND Irmin?
And Nibelung was the original bearer of the "crown of reason" or Logos?
But then... could that make Istaroth something else entirely? Perhaps she's the USURPER?!

This is completely unrelated to the theory, but seeing the clips you used from Fate to reference Ereshkigal made me think of something. We know that ufotable, the studio which animated the Fate series which is heavily influenced by both Norse and Greek mythology, is now also collaborating with hoyoverse. I wonder if ufotable felt inclined to pursue this collaboration because Genshin follows the same myths and more, which the studio are already familiar with. It just made me much more excited about the anime as I'm sure a lot of love will go into it. With the material this game provides, we are in for a masterpiece.

I always thought that Irmin was the gardener of the Phanes in the "Before Sun & Moon" book. Irmin, referenced as the Irminsul and the King Irmin, is associated with one-eyed Odin. Yes, the Gnostic Chorus Kingdom is Khaenriah, not Celestia. The symbol on the carpet is the same as the one on the door of Khaenriah. Finally, someone mentioned the Star of Ishtar in Genshin Impact. There are so many Star of Ishtar symbols, like on the door of Khaenriah and the symbol of Snezhnaya. Yes, Irmin has a relationship with Ishtar because Ishtar gave him the forbidden knowledge, regrowing the destroyed tree with the same knowledge. I thought that the Primordial One, the creator, could not be Phanes, but Istaroth could be Phanes, the demiurge, the serpent. Phanes is born with a serpent on his body, but the demiurge Lucifer is the serpent itself, and I have evidence that the serpent is Phanes.
When the snake in the gnostic chorus pours out its venom, its purple power also goes away, and only red remains. I attribute this to the fact that Phanes brought the forbidden knowledge to Teyvat and drowned the realm of light, which was the true heaven, into nothingness, turning it into the abyss. So, I think Irmin is the Monad Nibelung, the lord of the abyss who has the ring (Der Ring des Nibelungen), the Ring of Solomon. We also saw many knots of Solomon in Genshin Impact, and the knot of Solomon represents the four shades in Babylonian mythology. There was a story about the usurpation of Ashmedai, who stole the seal of Solomon and acted like him, and Genshin uses the name of Asmoday, not Asmodeus from Ars Goetia. So, the Ring of Solomon is the red power, and in the War of Khaenriah, Asmoday has the red power, but actually, she has a golden power (Geo or something associated with light).
So, I think Irmin, the heroic king of Khaenriah, is Nibelung. Also, Nibelung is the primordial one, the light dragon born from an egg, the name of which was Aether, created by Chronos and Ananke (mother of Fate Sisters Moirais, and there is a Moira reference in Genshin). To receive a Vision is to sell oneself to the "fate" of this world - to Heimarmene, and to evermore lose the chance to walk the correct path. Heimarmene is the Moirais themselves, so the three gods of Celestia we saw in the manga are the Fate Sisters. The triquetra represents them, the ruler of past, the ruler of future, and the ruler of present. But that story does not actually fit the canon lore, but what if the real history was rewritten because Istaroth has full authority over Irminsul, and we actually know that in the "Before Sun & Moon" book, she betrayed the Primordial One. She made the continuity of the forbidden knowledge. Sorry about my bad English. I'm so excited right now. You are the best theory creator on CZcams. Before you, nobody talked about Ananke Moirais and the Star of Ishtar. The true antagonist is Ishtar, and Paimon is Lucifer's most loyal servant, and probably Paimon is the servant of Istaroth, so Istaroth is Lucifer, the fallen angel.

    • @Enochnes
      @Enochnes Před 3 měsíci +6

"Abyss mages use the Enochian language, which is the language of angels. Prophet Enoch learned that knowledge from angels, so the abyss is the heaven itself, the real heaven. I also think that the forbidden knowledge is the Void, maybe the Void Archive or just a creature /organysm who needs a host body. This creature stole the bodies and powers of Irmin and Istaroth (he can't affect time; he saw us in the memories). The Nibelung and Irmin say the same thing: the void that devours all things. There's also one point in the Celestia model where we saw that star, maybe the Star of Ishtar, on the tower at the center (so Istaroth is the ruler of Celestia)."

  • @osmial
    @osmial Před 3 měsíci +7

Otto being Irmin would be great and if he is then i can see irmin giving task to dainslief to save someone irmin cherished(probably the spirit of the world tree) and dainslief taking the ring of nibelung with him to surface and trying to find the one who can use it and save the one irmin wanted to but i personally believe king irmin would be alive but corrupted by abyssal knowledge losing even what was left of him and us fighting irmin alongside dainslief might prove we are worthy to save that one person and irmin finally sacrificing himself to fix the ruined system of the world and we ascending to godhood and knowing paimon is the fate that has took the task to guide us
And i get the chills thinking all of this was planned by phanes the father of gods of teyvat
Also I don't think irmin has become primordial one but it is possible someone has tried to become one
Why I don't is mainly because of the line "the keeper is fading away, the creator has yet to arrive, but world shall burn no more for you shall ascend" and the name card saying the stars path shall intertwine once again might say teyvat has been keeping eye on twins close proximity and knee they have been traveling to worlds far in stars
Also I don't believe genshin lore would be as you said cuz they tend to mix mythos events with tales and legends it will it would most likely change alot

    Note by a German:
To translate Gesamtkunstwerk as "the complete work of art" is literally correct but that's not what it means.
Wagner's works were considered "Gesamtkunstwerke" because he planned and created everything that went into the production (music, lyrics, stage directions etc.) to fit together in his idea of the story. So, it's a collection of all the arts coming together in one project through the hands of one person.
Yup, it's a bit more complicated than "the complete work of art".

    Let's see 😶‍🌫️
    *Edit*
Well...I've had the same theory for a year now. Regarding your quote comparing Deins to Jesus, for Gnosticism Sophia (wisdom) would be the other party.
Particularly, I have a theory of my own that I have already considered. We cannot forget that in the tale of the "spirit tree", the gardener is in love with the spirit of the tree. And the one who advises him is the priest (Istaroth).
Could Rukadevata be the spirit of Irminsul? Yes. But we cannot forget that Istaroth was a symbol of fertility, as was the dendro archon. She may have been the holder of knowledge about Irminsul, being the shadow of life (one of the three moons). But, we have a strong candidate for the 4th sister of the moon. "Seelie"
Seelie it also means soul (spirit of Irminsul), and by coincidence, she was the love of the traveler who came from far away, and whom she married in the lunar palace, in the presence of the sisters of the moon. This marriage would it be possible for her to be part of the lunar palace, being one of the 4 shadows, with a specific job: to be the soul of Irminsul (true kaleen and not just a clone), like Theresa who replaced Kaleen ( Ruka replaced Seelie).
Remember that Kaleen did not share love with Otto, but rather had a relationship with Yae (by coincidence, the sacred Sakura grew up in Inazuma, where Yae lives).
The royal gardener was advised to cut a branch and plant it again and it would take 500 years for it to grow.
We have reference to Ruka and Nahida, but what happened in Kaenriah was 500 years ago (Nahida's lifetime). Considering this, for the king to need to cut down the tree with the greatest celestial power, he could be sacrificing one of his shadows for a possible war that "wounded" him or to the "kingdom", to restore the power, which came through the tree. The gardener (Deins?) was against this idea and asked the shadow (Istaroth) for help, who promptly helped him. Which brings us to Deins be a possible traitor to the kingdom.
Now let's consider...What if the tree spirit is a Seelie, who was married in the lunar palace, and who married the gardener responsible for protecting the branch? And if this act made the king (Otto) get angry and take one of his shadows (Asmodeus, to become mother of the night?) According to the theory, there was the Babylonian goddess sister of iStar, who would be associated with the mother of the night. This fixes perfect, two sisters and one of them holding a chalice on the beast (couldn't the chalice be one of the artifacts that symbolize Pahnes' shadows?)
Being in your unnatural state, There was a war between the 3 moons (Istaroth, Paymon and Asmodeus), because the first two did not agree with Asmodeus in going against the other "sister" shadow, punishing her and her love. In this I stick to the myth of the 3 goddesses and their specific role in men's lives. Perhaps the reign that did not pass from one to another has a bearing on the thread of the destiny of human beings, starting with Dainsleif and Seelie.
So we have: Kaleen/ Seelie, Ruka/ Thereza, Unknown Goddess/Kiana, Paymon(?) , all shades of Pahnes: (clones and original)

quick correction on aeneas: he’s a roman character- he was a minor character in the iliad, but that was about it before that. he was written as the first hero of rome and an ancestor of romulus and remus
below is a random ramble about vergil and the aeneid because i’m a nerd
vergil was a prominent poet in rome, and the aeneid was inspired by the iliad and odyssey. it was commissioned by the emperor at the time (augustus i think) to make rome look really cool basically. this is not to downplay the talent vergil had because he was an incredible writer but basically it was a commissioned fanfic that was like. really good
i recommend it, vergil has amazing imagery and despite him writing it as an epic poem it’s very much a narrative. i’m studying ancient history and cultures as one of my minors in college and i find vergil’s writing to be some of the best. and catullus and caesar’s writings are really entertaining like i was laughing so hard
    but i’m getting off track

The new potion event exam that sucrose took was nigredo, albedo, rubedo and final exam was citrinitas. so I think citrinitas is the final stage of alchemy in Genshin instead of rubedo. Making gold the philosopher stone in that sense.

Ayoo, something just popped up in my head when you mentioned that the dragons are akin to angels while the Arcons the demon gods, related to an older video of yours asking who the traveller would side with in the end. There are many similarities between the Traveller and Lucifer, them being a star and ofc Lucifer being called the morning star and also having a travel companion named Paimon who was Lucifer's most loyal follower. Why do I think the traveller might end up siding with the demon gods in the end, it'd be a pretty cool trust after all the negative light Celestia has been put under. Also Lucifer was once an angel to, I wonder what it means for the descenders.

I'm asking this because I'm interested: could you tell me the source that you found that said that Aphrodite/Venus was the ancestor of King Arthur? I've heard a lot of re-tellings of the story of King Arthur and I don't think I've ever heard of this concept to his story before. I'm actually writing a re-telling of King Arthur's romance with Guinevere, so I'm interested in any new information I can find to add to the lore of my own story.

The ancestral lineage of Britain's legendary monarchs, among them King Arthur, can be traced back to Brutus, a grandson of Aeneas.

I realized that theorizing is pretty good for community knowledge. You teach us but others who know more teach you too and it cycles.
Also. Hearing similar names I realized biblical name of Esther seems like Ishtar, and her uncle seems to be Marduk. So I get the question, who is genshins marduk?
    Ty for the theory.

This video confuses me. So there's a bunch of cultural references, that somewhat correspond with Genshin, and you went through all of them, just to say that Paimon is some super-important god (demon?) because of a reference to the most basic one? And wasn't it people who WEREN'T originally from Khaenri'ah who turned into hilichurls and so on, while people from Khaenri'ah just turned immortal (and so, why is it so strange that non-Khaenrian managed to turn into an abyssling through different means?)?? And I really don't get why dragons being angels is so important that you felt a need to repeat it three times???
Call me stupid, but I really don't get what this theory is supposed be :/ Can someone explain it to me in Razor speech?

    • @nyarlathotep-thecrawlingch6335
      @nyarlathotep-thecrawlingch6335 Před 3 měsíci +12

      So, imagine this:
Khaenri'ahns were descendants of the Seelies, who were servants of the Dragons and their King who was the Original God who created everything but they betrayed the Dragons and then used the Tree of existence that was holding everything in the world together to alter Time and History and become the Rulers of Teyvat.
Everything that comes from the Four Shades are descendants of Khaenri'ahns because the Four Shades were creations/the most trusted Khaenri'ahns of the King of Khaenri'ah.
So basically, Teyvat is in a Eternal Time Loop Paradox because Khaenri'ah is the origin of everything that was not made by the Dragons, but were also punished by Celestia who are themselves Khaenri'ahns for uncovering the Truth.
