How to find guys like Ryan, that's the type of friend I'd like to have in life!!!!
guys like ryan hang out by themselves a lot
Hahahah. I was just thinking the same thing seriously. I looked around and have no friends that are at this level. I wouldn’t say I am at his level but I guess we level up our friends man..
Humble, intelligent, hardworking....excellence oozes out of him...love his work!!
Wisdom of centuries imparted in a beautiful way by an awesome being. So grateful. Thanks 🙏
A great talk. Much enjoyed. Can't fault a military history lesson either.

Never apologize for being American. You are what you are. Be proud, not arrogant and own your American lineage. Stop apologizing. This is the way.
James Dean he is somewhere out of the USA. He frames this for his audience. This young man is a Marketing expert.
Mark Campbell in short ...so you should sell your soul to make money? thats not very stoic.
James Dean I look at making people feel comfortable. You are looking at marketing. Is one teaching or chasing in ? When I taught kids overseas one time , I used that way. Living abroad always makes you appreciate your country. Now that is more stoic
Mark Campbell , yes make people feel comfortable is fine, but not at the expense of feeling shameful for being American. This anti, self hating American banter is exhausting. A true stoic isn’t rattled by the opinions of others when he in term he is trying to help and educate. Bending over to make people feel comfortable because of which country you were born in which you cannot help is not stoic in any way, rather focus on the task at hand instead of apologizing is.
James Dean I agree with you.
# 5:17 public speaking 5:46 inevitable to grind through a shitty talk and practice stoicism
It is discouraging to think that war is a measure for stoic self to have as criteria.
Where is this filmed at?
Texas: no state income tax. Smart.

Ryan is still promoting hoka sneakers while speaking on stoicism
"Perserverance"? Sorry, that’s not the word. Try perseverance instead.
Most powerful guy of his time - head of the most powerful army - so basically Donald Trump?
A little constructive criticism: speak without interjecting “um” in every sentence and lose the man bun.
Rich Emerson if your ego wasn’t in the way those things wouldn’t bother you. Just a bit of constructive criticism.
Jack Holly your all caps response makes me believe your ego feels threatened a bit as well.
I'm pretty sure I have the biggest penis in this comment thread.
@@robrick9361 My ego temporarily dissipated because your comment made me lmao 😂.
Why does the appearance of others matter to you?
