This is a video demonstrating most of the exercises that can be done on the body solid leverage gym. More can be performed but i covered the basics. Hope you enjoy, thanks for watching
Subscribing and liking because you saved my sanity, Ive had this thing for 5 years and never knew you could invert the handles to lock them, THANK YOU. For anyone considering buying this machine, if you are accustomed to a commercial gym (aka hammer strength etc) the angles and planes of movement take a little getting used to, Ive found that sometimes propping the bench vs adding extra height via the bench adjustment helps remedy this. Also, get yourself a few lengths of heavy duty chains about 8 feet in length. If you wrap them around where the canvas strap is (video 5:16) you can attach many handles grips etc using carabiner clips to allow custom placement that doesn't slide mid set. This setup is also very friendly for adding resistance bands for a dynamic curve.
@@joeforn you just pull the two pins out on the bench press and put the bars all the way down. And then put the pins back. The bars lock against the pins
Thanks for the video..i wish i had gotten this over the PowerTec (i have that ones “equivalent”)..its a good piece of equipment but i like that the bench comes off that one allowing more versatility..
Thank you. This is by far the most thorough example of what exercises this machine is capable of. Quick question. What did you attach to the lat pull bar to allow you to do tricep pushdowns? I just purchased this machine and that is the only exercise I can't seem to figure out. Thanks again!
Im glad you liked it! For the tricep pulldown i actually had to do a little innovating. I bought a chain that had plastic over it so it did not ruin the machine and then i attached a clip to a also bought tricep rope. Unfortunatly it does not come with any of this i had to buy everything extra and figure out a way to put it all together. Fairly easy but it does not come with any of that
@@gnatale5099 Nice demo vid. However, the cable chest flyes do look like you're putting too much resistance on your shoulders. So wouldn't it be more isolated for your chest if you lay flat as if you were doing bench press? Just a thought. It may just be the angle. But, as I said, really nice demo vid. You said you couldn't find one when you were looking to purchase. So how did you get hold of your one then? As I've been searching for a while but for some reason BS stopped supplying the UK. I mean that there's no suppliers in the UK
I have been wanting to get either this or the powertec. I have been leaning towards the Body Solid from the beginning, but there's something about the movements that don't sit right with me. Can you let me know how it is? Thanks
Hello my husband and I bought ours second hand from someone on offers up. We haven't used the abs workout portion because we didn't understand how to connect it but fr your video it seems like it's the same cable you use for the pulls downs....my question I'd about the long metal thing you have attached in the back to the pulldown part while using the ab portion....the people we bought it fr didn't give his that, is that needed in order to do crunches and abs?
So the thing im holding for abs is a tricep pulldown rope. I had to buy that separately because it did not come with it. But you can attach any handles you want to the clip that connects to that cable
@@gnatale5099 no I meant the long metal rod you have attached in the back when using the machine to do crunches. It's attached to the back of the pull down and where you put the weights for the pull down
@@monix6198 oh well yea that should all be included with the machine. Thats the part where you can do lat pull downs and everything else. Without that part the machine is incomplete
@@maxrybold1531 no prob. Yea 250 seems about right. And that cable is mostly only used for abs. So idk if any human can do a 250 pound crunch haha. I modified and use it for other things also but have never put close to 250 lbs on it lol
does anyone know how much the bar weighs? I bought this and was trying to calculate the actual weight. For example, I think an olympic bar weighs about 30 lbs
What are the deminsions? There are different dimensions floating around. The original bodysolid site has different dimentions than various approved vendors. If evwr you get a chance... get a tape measure and measure for us.
How can you pull a heavy weight with those seated rows. You need to have your feet firmly up against something to stop the heavy load from pulling you forward and in turn enable you to be able to pull that heavy load. That's why seated rows need to be done in the floor. I really like this gym but that's one of the things that puts me off it
Yes when i put a lot of weight on it i simply lift my legs and place them on the frame of the machine. It does not have foot rests but i just put my feet somewhere comfortable enough to do the exercise. Works great
@@gnatale5099Sorry, I never got a notification of your message. Thanks for your reply. It doesn't look like the frame each side of the cable is the same distance apart so the balance would appear unstable. But if you say it works great then ok. I was wondering, if you locked the arms at the highest point, are you able to do pull-ups? Bodysolid haven't sold this in the UK for several years now. I don't know why as I know about a dozen people who would purchase it

I do not know. I tried looking them up myself and could not find them seperatly from this gym
