I remember intentionally not wanting to beat the game because I loved it so much I didn't want to finish it.
It's actually incredibly addictive this was my first dose of luigi's mansion and I've been hooked. Trying to work on my addiction with mainline games didn't work so I guess I'm going back to triple A therapy.
This was actually the game that convinced me to get a switch, and boy was it worth it
Honest question: what do y’all like about the game so much? I just thought it was slow and boring (especially the garden floor and B2), it had shallow mechanics, and no sense of atmosphere. I really want to like the game but I just can’t :/
@@jackatk Saaaame
Well, aside from being just plain ole charming, Id have to argue the game does have more atmosphere than you give it credit for. And with all due respect the mechanics of the game did have a layer of depth not seen in prior games and they raised the skill ceiling of combat a bit. I can see some of the slower levels bogging down the playthrough but the game does have a good few highlight moments. I had a lot of fun with the bosses in particular
I remember accidentally finding out the Gooigi pushing thing existed while my co-op partner was trying to get revenge on me (accidentally slammed a ghost on her). Looked it up and we're now trying to perfect it.
I love how Nintendo decided , go ahead and skip an entire level, it’s fine, but we put A LOT of effort into the boss fights, WE DRAW THE LINE HERE.
i can’t even blame em, this game has some awesome, memorable boss fights
I love it.
They find what is probably the best possible skip in the game because of a miscommunication.
I freaking love it.
I LOVE this game. Gooigi is such a great addition to the game and ScareScraper is so addicting. I try Speedrunning ScareScraper Solo by myself, although I have no proof for my runs. Still, It’s still enjoyable completing ScareScraper as fast as possible and I still play ScareScraper to the day.
Gooigi was clearly gay
@@marcuscostello5635 how did we get to this point 💀
I prefer Dark Moon’s ScareScraper, but 3’s gameplay is significantly better
Man, Halloween 2019 sure was a long time ago. I didn’t know about many glitches in my playthrough, besides the lamp that flew over the place on the magician sister trio floor.
I found an exploit from the Boilworks boss, Klem.
If you shine your flashlight on him while he's in his floaty, you're technically causing minor pushback (like REALLY minor) but it's an easier way to beat the boss than waiting for him to get dizzy or whatever.
Photon pushing?
@@dinosaurusrex1482 that’s what I thought lol
Wow, I'm starting to get nostalgic towards this game now
Awesome video! I hope you run this game again at some point, would be great to see the PB thumbnail collection grow :)
Glad to have helped make this. Was fun doing something different, can't wait to see what comes next. 😉👌
I love speed running communities. They see someone get an ungodly time and go “I’m going to bang my head against a wall until I’m faster than them”.
“Gay clipping”
Speed runners are so cool. I like playing the game normally. But will try out a few speed run tricks every now and the .
Luigis mansion is the best gay representation we'll get in a nintendo franchise, no im not elaborating.
Imagine seeing this game is already 3 years old
I found a glitch the other day where I got on top of that janitor cart near the escalators on floor 3. I have no idea how I got up on it nor could I do it again but it looked pretty funny since none of the stuff on it had collision and you could merge Luigi with a roll of paper towels.
Great video dude. I've been wanting to pick LM3 up again. This was the inspiration I needed
I never knew this gooigi push exists this is some good quality content ngl you deserve more subs and yes I will sub
Neat analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
Loving the high quality content!
Loved it dude! I wanna run LM3 now lol
I'm in full Halloween mode this year and am so ready to play this again. Definitely going to try the Gooigi push method a few times.
This was a great video. Thank you so much for making this!!!
Amazing vid HD :)
I remember watching this enfold dude, I was killed by school at the time. I was shocked to hear this was seed dependent from u and other runners, but good shit and hope ur well :)
Great video. Very interesting!
Luigis mansion 3 was so good, great video
Great video!
Super underated channel and video
I couldn’t wait for this game to be over.
Hdspeedruns:Giving Luigi his 3rd solo title.
Super Luigi U:😭
Legitimately one of my favourite games of all time. Its an amazing conclusion to the trilogy and judging by the 2nd game getting a remaster port next month i hope to god they'll do the same with the first game as well as do what theyre doing with metroid prime 4's hype train and use the remasters as build up to the inevitable 4th game in this awesome series.
“prominent battle for bikini bottom speedrunner and glitch hunter rubbertoe64” is such a funny phrase
You are three subscribers away from 1k so I just wanted to say congratulations because probably by the time you see this you will have hit 1k
i'm going to subscrive to him 3 times
Patching complete outlier / "unnecessary" bugs is such a stupid thing to do, honestly.
It doesn't only mess with speedrunning, it also wastes time and money they could've spent on other games.
The Amadeus skip was completely impossible to encounter unless you did the Gooigi push, meaning an average player would've never encountered it. Bugfixing speedrun bugs is a waste of time.
Very nice video... when a History of Luigi Mansion (all 3 possibly, but at least 1 and 3) Speedrunning?
It's amazing to see Slam Stunning was represented here!
Who's idea was it to make the physics vary on a random seed?
My guess is that it's for generative details? I haven't seen a lot of the games graphics, but if some of gooigis effects are simulated it might make it a little more "realistic" in that sense
5:45 the absolute definition of "task failed successfully"
i broke the game by dropping the bucket into the well and making the game softlock for some reason
I actually used that bug a lot where you just kill the boss mostly after one cycle
Ah yes. The biggest trick ever. Having a giant green "Sorry!" piece attached to your head.
So you're telling me the very physics of this game are randomized? Crazy.
0:16
That’s really rude, the ghosts are the hosts and
Luigi is the guest
4:57 i love how it looks like he has a reddit post ready for filling the second he discovers a skip
When I beat the chef guy I found a glitch were if you kill the chef guy at the same time gooigi goes on the water he doesn’t get killed by the water and you can stay on the water and grab the button
Since he said that you can choose which update you want to play on the physical form does anyone remember the toy hammer glitch from Kirby and the forgotten land
"Halloween, 2019"
Luigi's Mansion 3 came out 5 years ago. Jesus Fucking Christ.
It was fun, but I wish they'd go back to the darker and creepier vibe the original had going for it. Might just have been the older graphics, but every unlit room was almost black without the flashlight and the environment and music was creepier.
Dawg that random number shit is crazy
Now we wait until we get LM 4 where you are in a Hotel/Villa on a big Ship (Ghost Ship) and cross from Island to Island
The hotel has unwanted quests ? Yeah Mario and the gang lol. Everyone that works there even the owner are ghost...
LM3 is likely my favorite game for the Switch.
I played co-op with my friend and I was running at the door. When my friend (who played Luigi) tried to exit a fight started. Gooigi (my character) got stuck behind the gate and I couldn’t do anything, not even die cause the ghost was aiming for Luigi. So that’s that ig
I enjoyed that. Thank you.
0:06 "If You Don't Count Mario Is Missing" Or The Luigi's Mansion Arcade Game
I somehow didn't find any bugs when playing wich is quite surprising to me after watching this xD
giv’em a good luigi pump
wait…this game is already 3½ years old? 😭
it’s not the most fun game to replay so i haven’t put many hours into it, but LM3 is still one of the switch’s best games. easy recommend if you haven’t played it
Pretty handy trick
i'll never understand why any developer bothers patching glitches that you have to actively attempt to encounter. Its one thing to patch a bug that causes your controls to freak out or a phase of a boss to not initiate right, but specific and obtuse controller inputs to trigger the glitch...just why bother devote the resources? its a singleplayer game after all.
Ahh the good times
We all miss those days where u could dab
Hmmmmmm this seems interesting
0:37 erm ackshually gooigi was in the remake for luigis mansion 1 as the co op character
0:40 gooigi is from the 3ds remake of the first game
cool stuff,
what's the version of the luigi's mansion theme used at 3:30?
It's from this game. I believe it's from the Dance Hall Floor. (The ghost dancing minigame.)
Me who has a physical version: *hehe yeah boi*
WAIT THIS WAS MADE IN 2019 OMGGGGG IT WAS THAT LONG AGO
Did they find a way to skip the Damned cat?
Gooigi first appeared in the remake of the first Luigi’s mansion
another reason on a console or portable console to have a physical copy to play through with glitches that help to skip the most annoying or nerve racking enemies
10:50 I wanna ask how much health is Luigi at at this time?
Good Video.
I need to learn Celebration Skip. It will be an absolute ScareScraper solo run savior.
Also, you mention that the Switch forces you to update your games. That is *NOT* true. You can unconditionally always select "Launch Software" instead.
This was my first Luigi's mansion and I got to experience it with my kids so that's the cherry on top. 10/10
9:55 I don't understand why Nintendo keeps patching out speedrunning glitches. It doesn't affect the game's performance. The likelihood of casual players coming across these glitches is so miniscule, its barely worth considering. All patching these glitches out does is take fun out of the experience for speedrunners, make speedrunning harder, and piss people off. There's no need for them to patch them out. And they do this with just about all of the mainline Nintendo games, especially the recent LoZ games. Why??? Let people have fun with the glitches.
Cool Video
cheers to Luigi's Mansion 4 and for Mikage to become the best 3DS emulator!!
This game is so broken that I found multiple glitches in only one playthrough
Is gooigi pushing patched?
The Gooigi release button just so happens to be the one of two that’s broken 💀💀💀 can’t finish the game 💀💀💀
There's a third one!?
Wait..
There's a second one!?
i can imagine you just died and you're grieving your death
then this little bitcoin starts sucking you up for no damn reason
FUCKING 3 YEAR AGO, WHAT THE HELL I SWEAE IT WAS ONLY IN LIKE 2023 HUUUUH
Ive seen shower ornaments that look like luigis hat in the thumbnail
Thanks
After watching this video a second time I realized it’s not called “Gay Clipping”
Calling this one of the greatest glitches in speedrunning history feels a bit... Disingenuous?
Like it's an important glitch for sure, but saving 10 minutes or so over a few spots in a nearly 3 hour any% run feels relatively small compared to the likes of BLJ, barrier skip, super swimming, Bit, bottle adventure, SRM, wrong warping, etc in just Mario and zelda games, or even the Chancey chest clip on the first game. Which each individually skip potentially hours
Nice video, you speak a lot like this youtuber I used to watch called Glitchmaster7
New super Luigi U? 0:06
You can't stun luigi anymore
It’s actually his 5th adventure
You forgot Luigi’s hammer toss and Luigi U
I would do these methods, but where’s the fun in that?
Wonder why the game does a random seed for physics
This is NOT one of the biggest finds in all of speed running lol
Great video. I remember when gooigi pushing was first discovered how upsetting it was that power-on RNG would make such a big difference on such an important tech. This is just the kind of thing to expect from Nintendo these days, sadly.
why in the world are the physics randomized?
I'm sorry what?!
The physics depend on a random seed? That's bizarre! Why? How?
I 100% the game every time I got bored I have beaten the game 7 times and my record was 16 hours
I am too good at sucking up ghosts
