- Let’s get ridiculous with 50 Things to do While Waiting in the Elevator of Luigi’s Mansion 3!
In the event that you’re stuck in a slow hotel elevator alone, headed to the very top--what do you do? Surely not stand still for 17 floors. Luckily, Luigi’s got a gooey doppelgänger to keep him company, and is equipped with a super-powered vacuum!
There are a LOT of funny little details and things to play around with in Luigi’s Mansion 3- so while waiting on each floor to load isn’t too bad, a freedom to mess around with your moves in an enclosed space means it’s time for shenanigans.

I really prefer having to wait in an elevator, rather than having to sit through a loading screen. The immersion doesn’t break, this way! I personally just try to spin around, which can be a surprisingly difficult task.
SeanPawn same here! Much prefer moving around to an unplayable loading screen. The moments where you’re left to your own devices are some of the funniest, and you can discover some more unconventional uses from your move set! I try things I otherwise wouldn’t, keeping myself entertained 😅

Why does this feel like a montage of luigi being bored in the elevator after accidentally pressing all the buttons in a 50 story building?
I played through the whole game co op with my brother and every single time we went in the elevator we had a plunger fight, just shooting plungers non-stop in every direction.

I mostly walk around, play with the poltergust and the lights. As somone who's played the first game way too many times it's strange yet very satisfying that there's a elevator instead of running up and down the stairs.
Good point about the stairs from the original, a major part of that game was rerunning through the Mansion and you could only fast travel backwards via the mirror. That does make LM3’s elevator all the more satisfying!
It’s a little odd, but I like when games put the player in a more confined space (most often in loading screens) where the only option is to play around with your move set. Leads to discoveries and funny moments!

Personally if a videogame has a room where you wait for the main room to load but you can still run around in the small room it instantly makes the game like 2 times better

I remember discovering plunger hat and thinking it was hilarious.
Having the loading screens be interactive is quite a clever way to keep the players entertained, simply by allowing them to be creative. It's cute!

The best addition to this game (other than the elevator trips rather than a loading screen. Love that.) Is the button letting you say "Mario?" Now I can remix it!!!

@@ThaneGaming I've played Dark Moon from start to finish for the first time just recently, despite having it since it was first released- Luigi actually switches back to saying "Mario" near the end of the game.
I pressed the button and said "Maarioo!" myself as a joke referencing the original, but I lost it when I realised that Luigi said it as well

@@ThaneGaming My feelings have always been a bit mixed about it, but with how this year has been going, I'd definitely recommend it if you'd like something to brighten up the mood. As long as you play with the right people, online co-op can be hilarious

I was playing co-op with my dad (he is one of those rare dads that enjoy gaming with their daughters) and I played with Luigi and did pretty much everything here while Gooigi ran laps around the elevator.
