There's an Easter egg if you go in a room with a nearby boo in it and if you're playing with the joycons feel a rumble that is in the Pacific pattern and that is Morse code for boo

There’s a visual reference to Alfred Hitchcock’s vertigo towards the end of the game. When Mario and Luigi are climbing the square spiral staircase to get to the roof to fight King Boo, Luigi peers down, then the camera then does an angle from above and does a dolly zoom to make the staircase appear to stretch further down. It looks exactly like a scene in Vertigo.
I really hope there’s going to be a fourth game! This is one of my favorite spin-off franchises.

There is a reference to the movie Poltergeist in the mall, shortly before you get to the boss of that level.
If you pass by the table on the upper right of the area, you'll see the chairs are all stacked and balanced on top of each other.

there is also a dark moon reference on the 15th floor with the mansion model. you can also go up to peach in the beginning and it plays peach's castle theme.

even though i have (basically) 100% the game and know every little detail, i still enjoyed watching this video. Plus i never knew about the horror movie nods so those were awesome too!
You missed a secret! In the scarescraper if your on the top floor you can defeat a secret boss, boosulus.

In the first part it's even worse how the ghost is using a toilet brush
Here is another Easter egg, the spider that comes out of the box makes the same noise and same size as the spider boss in dark moon

Whoa...go to 6:29 and listen very carefully too what Luigi says. When the fireball starts coming towards him and Guigi it sounds like he says "holy sh*t." I just started playing it and haven't made it that far yet but...when I do I will have it playing in surround sound so it should be crystal clear. I will come back here and let you know if it still sounds like that.

You forgot about the reference to Luigi’s Mansion Dark moon in one of the rooms in the Paranormal Productions floor. There is a spider in a box and it makes the same sound and plays the music from the first boss fight in Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon.

Dark Moon was actually first ever video game, I enjoyed it
That's such a cool thing to hear. Really makes ya think, so many beloved games could be someone's introduction to video games. My first game was either super Mario world or super Mario 64. I was 2 years old, and both were played pretty quickly due to my grandpa being in a hurry, and my sister having no attention span. How was dark moon? I've never played it. Also, if you dont mind me asking. How many other games have you played? Or any other games that stick out to be your favorites/good memories with.

There really isn't so much of a reference to Godzilla as there is to Pacific Rim. They have Kaigu in it and that is what the boss on the movie set is called. You'll totally see it when you watch the movie.

Liam what I'm trying to say is this CZcamsr is placing anything that is in Luigi's Mansion as a secret. Such as virtual boo being a joke about virtual boy... It isn't a secret as it's part of the story line
Tbh some of these secrets are pretty basic exploring knowledge or common sense
I like how the elevator indications are items to match their areas, like a flower for the botany gardens on Floor Seven and a wrench for the boiler room on Basement Two. But it's pretty obvious sadly.

I can't help but notice that on the ninth floor, the things in front of the helicopter movie set went crazy. This happened to me, to, except I thought it was only for my copy. That should be a secret

If you go to paranormal productions and you enter the set with the giant spider if you look through the Camera, the music changes into the spider boss fight theme from dark moon.

I can't believe that you didn't find the luigis mansion dark moon Easter eggs, I know you found some but there were 2 models of the first mansion in dark moon we go in, one in the magic room inside a fish tank (Sorry I forgot what floors they are) and the floor where we battle the lady ghost which has a ghost cat. The thing we turn with our blowing thingy lol
