- Our ASV PT-100 was in desperate need to have the undercarriage repaired / replaced. Some of the idlers and bogies were missing the majority of the rubber on them. We made the decision to go with all aluminum bogie and idler wheels. All of the parts in this video were provided by Track Loader Parts. In this video we remove the bogies and idlers then install the rebuilt ones with the aluminum wheels.

You should mention the plates that go with the idlers can be flipped to give a little more slack when putting brand new tracks on.
@David Hoover I should have. Thanks for bringing that up. I love it when viewers take time to help everyone out. ~Mr. C.
@@NaturesCadenceFarm I had no clue until I tried putting some aftermarket tracks on my Cat 287B w/ the same undercarriage. Luckily a guy from the dealer told me and I was then able to put them on. Very informative video btw.
Where did you order your parts from
@bernardking923 I ordered them from track loader parts. Give them a call, they were super helpful. See below for the address to the website. Thanks for watching and commenting! ~Mr. C.

Mr C, you are an awesome guy for making these videos. I have a rc50 bought in late 1990’s. Why did you choose aluminum bogies & idlers over the oem rubber over steel? Longer lasting? Will aluminum affect ride, make more jarring. Do you think rocks will damage them. Also I was wondering if you add grease before reassembling. Your videos are very inspiring to us viewers, thanks again_Jim
@james macdonnell thank you for such a nice comment. It is my pleasure to make these videos. The aluminum bogies and idlers are supposed to provide longer service when using the machine in rocky terrain. only time will tell if they hold up longer. I can say they look like they are doing better than the rubber already. I have not noticed any ride quality change. I did not grease anything in the axle assemblies. they were sealed well and none had grease staining from leaking. All of them were smooth as butter. Thanks for watching! ~Mr. C.
