Nice family kind of video. Its good to see a whole family (inc urself) sittin down around a table havin dinner without distractions of phones tv ect
The boys need to come down to SA and learn how to fillet a Garie, threw half the meat away lads
not sure why they didnt just cook it whole
Why do South Africans always pretend to know how to do everything better than others. If I had a buck for everytime a SA said come down to SA and learn how to *insert literally anything*, I would be richer than Elon Musk.
@@and7976 yeah sorry bud, should have put South Australia but yeah we are better than everyone else 🤣🤣
@@and7976 SA is South Australia you numbnuts
Google .User it’s south Australia not South Africa
Garfish usually rolled whole gutted or butterflied and fried as is
Thanks Waern family for having Timmy, Milly and all of us over for a great day of Gar fish catching and cooking! :)
over here in the states we call those fish Ballyhoo
Loved this vid, going from location to location fishing and hanging with the locals and making new friends on the way. Living the dream.👍❤️💪
It’s not always the size of catch that matters. What a nice homely video of people who have a passion for the water and simplicity
Great wholesome episode Timmy perfect timing as we get back to basics and community spirit rising ✌🏼🙏🏻🐢🎣😎
7:45 I see the gaff is out...they must have some pretty big garfish down that way!
nice manners boys that Mariner outboard made me cry same as our old mint one stolen few yrs ago
Loving the filter/ luts pack your using Timmy, your video editing skills have improved immensely over the last few months and stoked to continue watching you grow with the fishing and content you provide to us all. Your a bloody legend champ...... and Milly too. Continue chasing that dream of yours mate, as hard as it is sometimes on the road im sure there's something big around the corner for your efforts. Tight lines.
Good change of pace. Would love to see you brave the cold again this winter and freeze out over at the cod dams. The metrey is awaiting you this winter :)
its on the list
Now this is what a true Aussie family should look like. Keep keeping it real.
Its the way I grew up and the way I am bring up my family we all eat together talking to each other no phones or TV at the table.
I go to friends places and its like the family does not even communicate anymore and when they do its so negative because one of them thinks they are being disturbed because they are watching some shit on the phone or being programed watching TV its so sad so many dysfunctional families now.
Go for it Timmy, great to see you learning a few new tricks, meeting new people and having a good time, but most of all, catching a few fish. There is a vibrancy there I haven’t seen from you for a while. Keep up the good work.
Top video. Loved the cooking. Good to see Mum and Dad raised good kids with a blackboard in the kitchen with chores. Teaches responsibility and team work. Love it.
Real people. REALLY great video!!!!! Timmy, you should do these kind of videos showing real Australians! What an amazing set of parents!! Those boys are being raised to high standards. I hope you got back to see then or will in the future!
I'm watching videos in order you uploaded them. Loving every minute!!
Too Good Tim!!! Lovely Family. Lovely Spot. Good to see you smiling. Thanks for the video Tim, makes a nice change from the news atm. These videos are more important than you realise right now.
Loving the new editing Timmy! Keep safe travelling champ!
Nice one Timmy. Im glad you and Mills are safe and well. Can’t wait for the next one 👍
South Australia. In most fish and chip shops. Absolutely my fav fish to eat. Top Kingfish live bait too.
Awesome video there Timmy! Awesome work on catching all the gar. I have caught a lot of gar before and it is sure great fun! Keep up the good work and I cant wait for next video.
Awesome video Timmy, one of your best
Good stuff gents, Always love these catch & cooks 👌
Timmy, I haven't caught one of your clips for a while. Glad I did, your filming, editing and style are all awesome. Keep kicking goals!
Back in Sweden we get big Garfish coming close to the shore in Spring - big ones, easily 1 kg each. Best way to cook them is hot smoking - delicious. The bones are bright green.
We call them ‘Piper’ here in NZ. Epic whole baits for big snaps and kings. Great little eaters too 👌🏻
What an awesome family, great video Timmy.
Love the video mate! It brings back some good memories of gar fishing down south in the Manning river! They are the tastiest little morsals!!👌👍
I love the catch and cook please try and do more in the future keep it up timmy
Garfish peeling drag. Drag setting - 🐢. Nice one Timmy stay safe n well. Yewww 🤙
I wanted to say they have you eating out of the bait bucket, but then that whole family made me feel too fuzzy. I really enjoyed this. It's what the TV chefs try to capture but is always to fake for them. Keep up the good work.
Timmy I absolutely love your love your family. I am sitting here with a tear or two in the eyes.
They feel like a true blue Aussie family. Those garies remind me of my childhood.
Really great vid Timmy, special all round.
Thanks for Timmy and Waerns,i am so hungry now!
Great video again! Always something different!
wat a cool family and a gud feed as well.take care TT and Mil on the road. cheers.
Thanks Tim for the vitality of eating Gar with a beautiful family and so much more. You may think you are making a you tube vlog but you are doing so much more.
I love the chalkboard message at 14:27! Particularly relevant now.
Whoever puts the thumb down on this video should stop
watching CZcams videos and isolate him/herself !!!
Stop haters!
Garfish absolutely delicious and sweet!
there that good in sth aust there on pub menu,s
@Maureen Hayden
Back in Greece we had them gutted scaled and then just cut in 3cm pieces, then battered, fried really crunchy with the spine still in. This as a snack like chips together with Ouzo!
Perfect and the bone gives a bit of crunch.
Or you take it out for the faint hearted 😉
Could have hit the wrong button bud
That's the life mate! Your living the life! Well done Timmy! Stay safe mate
Great episode
I really enjoyed that video. Very cool.
Good vid nice feed great family good times
Love the vids keep up the awesome work
Killa vid man🤙
Definately tempted to try some garfish. Have plenty here but never caught one or eaten one! Keep up the good work timmy!
Yum them and tommies.. Soo hungry right now lol . Great video guys cheers
Catch n' Cook with family is special time
Great video!
Priceless Timmy cool fishing add a top Aussie family.😃
loved it mate!
What a great family!!
What a great family!
On Fire with the Mini Marlin
we have a bunch of these in hawaii. no one eats them and they're so easy to catch. at night, just throw out a treble hook and drag it across the surface and you'll always hook one. maybe i'll try them one day.... lol
Live your dream Timmy and we will follow.
Nice one timmy
Really good kingy live bait too
Good episode mate
Keep vids like this coming 👌
Shits me to tears when my mate's want to bring their dog's fishing, special in the tinny.
Yum, Awesome! I rate Gars, up there with Whiting and Flathead. I do 'em in my secret beer batter. But that sure looks delish.
And the pupper's a great mate.
If you DRY your fillets VERY well, then flour by throwing them hand to hand knocking off ALL but a ghost like layer...season, dip in egg, and panko bread crumbs or 50-50 corn meal pancake batter with or without busted up salt and vinegar chips... whatever will stick perfect! Hope you enjoy....(peanut oil)
Love the editing and the track while filleting (you got a link?). Great quote on the fridge too 🙂💪
If you don't have a brown floral plate in your cupboard are you even australian?
Those garries looked great Timmy.
in NZ we use these for snapper bait it works a treat
Haven't seen the family since Christmas now i really wish i could go home !
Awesome.
when you catch a 500mm Gardy then you can call it a monster they can move so quick i have seen them flying through the air when a seal is chasing them. Great eating.
Garfish are awesome to eat.
They are so under rated.
Just dust them with flour and then fry em up.
This reminds me of the big sea-gar off the beach up sunnycoast way... wonder if they're on the bite again, there was a guy out there with a fly rod whipin them in
They look unreal! I’m going to get Gar tomorrow for a feed Hahahaha. Nice one Timmy 🤙
Please don’t get the coronas Tim. Planning on watching this channel for a lot time mate hope you stay safe! Tight lines 👍
That is some great bait. I have never heard of anyone eating them here in the states but we pay good money for them to us as bait.
Love the Gardies! My fave fish but your mate needs to learn how to butterfly fillet them so he doesn't throw half away
"I gotta get me a smaller boat" LOL
Good to c you out there chasing bill fish m8 . Gars are that good on the chew
Nice Timmy, that made me hungry as
Grab them with a rag when taking them off. squeeze rag and let them slip into bucket. This will scale them for you.
loved it thank you.
You and millie stay safe mate
They make good sashimi too 👌
Half beaks aka ballyhoo are great bait for trolling and live bait and good eats
Nice one mate, kiwis eat these puppies all the time "Piper Donuts", Matt Watsons done a video on it.
Delicious. Try frying in peanut oil..... Yum
Nice one Tim! Just a thought, is there any way to keep track in the video descriptions of where you are? It would be cool to follow your journey. Obviously, keep the spots secret so honey holes don't get hammered, but a general area would be good.
9:04 Get the dog🤣
Awesome vid, what down to earth awesome fam! You really captured the moment mate.
We love eating them in WA
Nice mate
piper/garfish r great fish to target!
Hey Timmy I know exactly where you are...mate great fishing there hope you end up back there chasing some bigger species
what size hooks were you guys using Timmy?
I love gar one of my fav eating fish roll out the backbone with a beer bottle dip in flour or batter fry whole and enjoy the only way to make em taste better is to turn em into Spanish mackerel
I would never in a million years have thought to eat ballyhoo... they must be different, but man they look identical. What a beautiful episode though man. Felt good!
Yeah you are right they are different, same family but different fish, garfish we have here in Aus are like the sweetest tasting fish you can eat with the whitest meat on them while ballyhoo is far as I know are a bit more bloody. But there are a heap of videos on youtube showing how to fillet garfish well so maybe it’s worth a try one day who knows you might be sitting on a gold mine and not even know it
Mate the world is not ending, so go fishing for all of us.
First time I ever saw someone fillet a gardie to eat was a mate from South Australia. To us they are just great bait for Spaniards :)
What kind of bait did u use?
I’ve been busy too 😂
What camera are u using? 😍 nice footage bro
What camera do you use?
