nice review, I have had dozens and dozens of helmets over my riding life. my current favorites are AGV K3 SV and the new-ish Airoh Commander carbon. I rate these at the top of all the helmets I have ever worn for comfort, rain protection, safety and ventilation.

I like the K3 for it's looks and how it fits onto my head, but man, it is very loud. Even with ear plugs, that I wear anyway.

I paid $550 for my Sport Modular (and no, it was not an old shelf sitter). Just looked and looked and found it. I like Shoei but not their new strap system. D ring is best for retention and comfort.
Is it Worth it AGV SPORTMODULAR? Maybe shoei neotec2 is better?

best modular is the Shark EVO One 2. It's the only helmet that you can ride with it folded.
LS2 valliant range are the same ,I have one it's soo comfy and the chin guard folds behind if you want an open face helmet....i

I recently bought a bell race star helmet and the fit, the auto tinting visor, low road noise, weight, and aerodynamics it was perfect until a week later and the magnet on the strap just fell off and looked ripped like something you’d get out of a $60 helmet rather than a $800 one -.- hopefully it’s covered by warranty or at least swap for something else
I love my race star. But I don't use it on the road because mine doesn't have the ear pouches for a comms unit. I too love the magnetic strap but did you know that the emergency cheeks pad are magnetic too? 😊
Yeah one thing about these high cost helmets- you wait a year or 2 when you crack a part on it and then try to find aftermarket parts. I went through a Bell Star and a Nolan Airlite with the same situation, a helmet that cant be fixed. I bought a Daytona Detour which has plenty of parts available and unbelievable quality for the price.

All helmets meet the countries safety standards and some exceed them but some companies charge way too much for a helmet that's not worth it and or because it's limited edition or signature edition. RuRock are an awesome company that is changing the game in helmets and actaully listen to the customers feed back and make changes to make the helmet better. RuRock also provide helmets for the Olympics.
I prefer cheap half helmets with apple pods in my ears and ZZ Top cheap sunglasses.

It's the loudest helmet I have ever owned. The vents have removable plugs, so they always open or always closed. The hydration mouth piece is poking my lips the whole time. I would get something else unless your going to the track.
I have the Agv Pista Gp RR, the Shoei X14 and the Shark Race R Pro Carbon. The Agv is the loudest. She shark is also pretty loud. The X14 is the quietest. What are the differences? The Agv is a track specific helmet. It is designed for the track. It is not meant for street use in my honest opinion. So to ride it on the street then call it poop is being disingenuous. The shark is a great helmet, well until my bike tested over on it. Now it is an expensive wall ornament. It was light, fairly quiet, for what it was. The problem is the fitment. The size did not feel accurate to me. It fits very tight. The X14 is the best for street/track. It is quiet and comfortable. Some say it is lighter than the Pista, but I don't think so. 🤔 they are all designed for what they are designed for. For the record. I ride the track as well as a 20 min stint on the street. There is my 2 cents.
In my country ,price of the most sold bike is lesser than the the price of AGV helmets

In my country we use outer watermelon shaped and cut to precisely fit our skull with padding taken from my grandmas pillow. Its all the protection we need plus now i can say its organic in nature and keeps you cool 🤠

I'd stick with my Icon Airflite over most of these. Especially since I don't ride on track, I ride in a city, I don't find use for race oriented helmets.
I've got the Airflite Quicksilver, loved it from the first second.
It's a really cool looking helmet but it's not the best for safety.
In Philippines wife has EVO about the best here -------- Mine is HNK + Honda from to buy new Honda bike

Just like riding leathers, much less expensive if purchased in Europe for some strange reason. Prices for equipment are so over inflated and then there's the dealers mark up in the US that has gotten out of control.
I always assumed it was the other way around (I’m from the UK) and always assumed our taxation meant we always pay more on everything compared to American (from food, to fuel, clothes etc etc) Good to know we get some breaks over here lol

Have all these helmets passed NHTSA testing? A helmet, no matter how expensive is only rated to 13 and a half miles an hour impact!
helmets are gettin expensive looked at the shoei neotec last year and this year.. 130 more expensive.. should have bought one last year ..mat black .. 520.. now 650 as alot of things you can get hyped by youtube.. but its still just a helmet.. I have a c2 now.. wanted to uograde ..new c4 didnt sit good.. nolan didnt sit good.. put on the shoei.. felt like putting on a cloud.. but the price... pfff
