Now make some gloves that can pair with the helmet so you can have a master control in one of the gloves so that you don't have to try and find the button on your helmet you can just push the button on the glove.

That Cross Helmet bunch did exactly that. Spoke to a friend in Japan who’s actually seen one on the road, spoke to the rider and said it was lit. Seems to be in production, but pricey. $2k for the helmet and the reactive gloves.
Add some arc reactor - repulsor technology
Why not just put a type of control near the throttle just like in cars when you control the car with the steering wheel controls

I bought the Ply Smart helmet last year and it now seems that you can not get any service, or support. No URL, email address and even the app is no longer available if you do not hat it now. I needed support and there is nothing . I won't do it again!

I bought the sena momentum inc pro about a year ago and I love it, only thing that bothers me is that there isn’t as much air flow as some other helmets but for everything thats packed in and the price its amazing.

Honestly the rear view camera and speed/directions display would be pretty sick for sport bikes without mirrors. And ones like mine that were crashed and don’t have a gauge cluster at all
You know what's important for helmets? As lightweight as possible. More weight increase risk of neck injuries in crashes, and is downright noticeably uncomfortable. These are not safer, more comfortable, or better helmets by any means. Camera + Battery + cables + projectors + etc, this stuff adds up.
If my neck breaking is the price I have to pay for sweet futuristic HUDs, then so be it.

I currently use a Sedici Moderna II. It's a modular full faced helmet with bluetooth connectivity. Now that I've watched this video I think I need to upgrade. Having hud in the helmet would be sweet, especially with a rear view camera.

I have wanted a helmet that you could watch movies on the inside of the visor and a cool sound system designed a portable private theater... Wonder why there isn't one out yet
With the flexible glass we have of today why can't we have a helmet of sorts with integrated sound and a monitor built in. they make portable cinema glasses but the light leaks make the quality in most cases not worth having and the best remedy I can see is to enclose it..... Might not be for everyone but what is for everyone

You’re not supposed to notice that it’s either useless, or a data hog on your phone.
Most of these aren't available. One is using COVID as a delay excuse when they have been 'delayed' for years. I bookmark the ones I like, then see how they develop over time before even thinking of tossing my money at them. It's too bad because I need a helmet with a HUD. I ride an electric unicycle, and a HUD helmet would make me a more confident rider.

Some of these products are really bulky and uneeded the bmw and the one that had noise cancelling and music can be a nice one but the others just seem unedeed and DOT standard needs to go its way outdated

When Formula E cars crash, HEAVY, they don't start to burn.
I'd rather think that if the helmet detects a hit to the head or body that it will automatically call for help via the phone, that would be the smart thing.

Can you tell me how to create a custom helmet ? I have much better design than these helmets .
Learn to use fusion 360 (you can get it for free with a student license even if you aren't a student) get a basic design going , buy a 3d printer print out your helmet build it add the electronics afterwards then you have your basic concept. Then you can design ways to make it dot approved and what not

A back up camera for a motorcycle. A vehicle best known for having no reverse gear, and you want to stick a back up camera in the helmet. At least I assume they call it a back up camera. The bass was so loud, and the voice was so soft, I couldn't understand a word the guy said.
Forget the cameras and HUD's. A bluetooth connection to your phone would be nice for music and maps alone. What more do you need?
