Hey. I feel I have similar issues but not as bad. But the diet that I feel helped me the most is a Paleo diet. It is a non dairy higher fat and moderate protein diet. I am lactose intolerant and get really bloated with dairy and high sugar products. It's hard for me to follow the diet cuz I love chocolate, bread, and rice 😞 but when i focus n eat within the diet it helps me alot. I pray you find something that works for you and make u feel better 🤗

I'm into Paul Saladino's approuch, meat, low oxalate fruits... I added flowers and low oxalates veggies. dairy is no good for me, no matter how raw. and lots of fat does not let lose weight, it's the same like when you do keto for losing weight.. you already have fat to use. Watermelons, Mangoes are great for me. I don't eat anything the plant does not want me to hehe

The real test will show if I get pregnant as I've dealt with infertility for 12 years. I'm blown away by how good I feel. My body feels young again. Carnivore diet changed my life. Not only the weight loss, but my fitness level. I'm 53, off all hypertension and cholesterol meds. Zero body pain, and I have the bloodwork of an 18 year old (according to my doctor). When she asked what changed and I told her she exclaimed "you can't do that!". I asked her if I should stop. Reluctantly she said "no". I also only need 4-5 hours of sleep. I just wake up fully focused with energy. I used to sleep in an entire weekend.

You lose weight from lack of fiber and shitting all your nutrients out because of too much protein…. People are losing weight from this from essentially over eating protein, which makes you sick. Too much of a good thing makes it a bad thing… this method of losing weight is similar to laxatives… but maybe a little worse in the long run because you’re clogging up your arteries too.

I cook from scratch and most of the time healthy meals. Then suddenly I had a awful hives all over my body due to ( flour base carbs) so I went to keto .... skin hives went away, so reflux meds.... soon after the depression plus lost 10 kilos, I felt amazing... Less people would get less sick (and from less early ages as well), if they ate the proper way.
When you eat normal food (food humans ARE supposed to eat!), your body doesnt run on sugar anymore, but fat.
It burns fat. Fat is fuel. (But you need to be zero carbs, zero sugar, including fake stevia and so on. THEN the body switches to how it was always designed to work, instead of storing sugar/carbs.)
Then it is beginning to heal, and then you develop proper healthy body, healthy mind.
This way of eating isnt about losing weight, (losing weight come as a bonus), but getting your life back by getting rid of diabetes, joint pain, PCOS, gout, obesity, chronic inflamation, etc etc ETC.
      It's real.

Just found your channel today (don’t know how I missed it bc you’ve got a ton of subs!)….
I admire that you did the 90 day carnivore challenge and that you experienced such amazing physical and mental benefits and results during that brief amount of time on this type of Proper Human Diet (Carnivore, Keto or Ketovore) as Dr Ken Berry calls it.
I’m 61, 6’2” and about a yr ago was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes (A1C over 8), fatty liver disease, was morbidly obese at almost 300 lbs with high blood pressure, chronic arthritis in my knees, acid reflux, sleep apnea and snoring, headaches, brain fog, fatigue, and I’ve struggled my whole life with bipolar depression, anxiety and ADHD.
I found Dr Ken Berry’s videos on CZcams, and decided to adopt a Proper Human Diet (PHD) which was initially Keto, and transitioned to Ketovore (10-20 total grams of carbs per day) consisting of mostly meat, fish, seafood, eggs, bacon, eggs with limited non-starchy veg and occasional nuts, cheese and berries.
So what happened over the past year…???
I have not only lost 70 lbs (now 225 lbs, lowest weight since I was in my 20’s!!), I have also…
Reversed my Type 2 diabetes (A1C is now normal at 5.4) and fatty liver disease… my blood pressure is now normal, and I no longer have/suffer from:
    arthritis in my knees
    acid reflux
    sleep apnea & snoring
    headaches
    brain fog
    fatigue
    And best of all…
my bipolar depression, anxiety and ADHD has gone into full and complete remission and with the help/consultation of my psychiatrist…
I am now OFF ALL MEDS and feel great!! Brain fog is completely gone, I have incredible mental clarity and focus like never before, and I’ve got seemingly limitless energy.
Sugar, carbs, highly refined grains, seed oils and man-made chemicals cause massive inflammation throughout your body and wreak havoc in the mitochondria which are the power center (batteries!) inside each of you cells.
Once the inflammation is gone through eating a Proper Human Diet, and the mitochondria have repaired themselves, you feel incredible physical and mental energy… it’s almost unbelievable until you actually experience it for yourself.
I hope you’ll one day consider starting (or re-starting/resuming) a PHD and see for yourself what it can and WILL do for you!😊😊

Every time I did I felt horrible. I decided to take a break and just watched what I ate for 6 weeks. It was the worst thing! My fibromyalgia, my arthritis, my back, stomach issues, eczema psoriasis… EVERYTHING flared up! It was hard going back to carnivore because of the sugar/carb addiction, but after two weeks, I was good again! I’ll never go back off! I have no sugar or carb cravings and I feel so much better! This comment makes sense - I don't think any diet feels restrictive when you first start it because you're seeing immediate results; you're feeling good and excited being on that high of losing weight. Hypothyroidism tanks your metabolism. It SUCKS! Since you are a newbie, I'd recommend finding a functional practitioner, getting thorough bloodwork, and watching your iron and vitamin D levels as they will be chronically low. Make sure you get your T3 and T4 tested along with your TSH. If your doc says TSH is all you need.....run. Please get your hormones tested. I had estrogen dominance unchecked for years and it tanked my gallbladder and ovaries. I now take progesterone and testosterone to keep it in balance. Please spread the truth:

I'm on day 26 of carnivore and I lost the first 25 pounds so fast. It was probably the first 2 weeks. It was water weight and bloating, but now I've been in ketosis and am losing body fat much slower. I've found eating more fat than protein works really well for me and while I am counting my calories and macros, it's mostly because I want to compare data points to look for trends, or if I notice something weird. My goal is 90 days and then I'll evaluate if I want to keep going or stop.
I will say that this way of eating has changed the way I look at food in general. I've sought comfort in food for almost 40 years and now I find my comfort in Jesus. It's a hard mental shift, especially around the holidays, because food is tied to so many memories and traditions, but my health is worth it. Make sure if you do this you have a clear why; why do you want to do it? I want to lose some weight, get my blood sugar under control, and be a better runner, and that's what keeps me going. When I don't see the scale move but my mile is getting faster, I don't feel as deflated.

I actually did an experiment that I made up by myself. I decided to pick foods that are high in nutrients and very nourishing and try to cut out processed food completely. So, my largest portion was meat. The second largest was the vegetable, which I would usually pick sweet potatoes, broccoli, or asparagus. And the smallest portion would be a fruit. So I'd have an apple, or melon, or an orange. Every now and then, I'd have italian garlic pasta, but the pasta was made from vegetable puree and some flour. It was amazing! I started dropping weight like crazy! Not only did I lose weight, but I felt astonishingly better. I had more energy and was a lot sharper in my thinking. The only downfall is that groceries are expensive. I usually don't buy groceries all at once because I live paycheck to paycheck. So I usually like to play everything by ear so I don't overspend. But, I am trying my best to find ways to fit it in my budget because I loved the diet.

Being able to afford organic produce and to survive without quick, filling foods such as bread or cereal isn't common nowadays. I did have a couple of thoughts though that maybe could help you or others in the same situation. Obviously any sort of prolonged issues that aren't able to resolve on their own with proper nutrition should definitely get blood work done to see if there are underlying issues like thyroid deficiency, and correct these as needed. It makes a huge difference, and while a lot of people with thyroid issues will improve on a carnivore diet, obviously if you don't have a thyroid then you will be reliant on medications. The reference range is that are normally used from the lab or completely inaccurate because they just give you an average for the community in general. The first few thousand people that come into the lab that year becomes the reference ranges, which is why the reference range is can change yearly, and change from lab to lab. What you want to look at is what is the range for healthy young adults who have no medical issues. Those are very different ranges.
You mentioned that you were finding your self having to force yourself to finish your meals and steaks in order to get enough calories. You really don't need to do this, if meat starts tasting bad then your body is telling you and no uncertain terms that you don't need it and to stop eating. This can be very strange when we are eating a lot less, or sometimes a lot more, than we think we need but if you're eating what you're supposed to eat then you can trust your body signals. When we are losing excess body fat we simply don't need to pull in as much food as we would otherwise. This is very common. Once you get down to a stable body fat percentage most people find that their appetite nearly doubles. I experienced that myself. So until then, just listen to you taste buds, and eat fatty meat until it stops tasting good. Once it stops tasting good, just trust your body that it knows when to stop. However still taste good, you should keep eating until it stops.
As to weight loss, especially when you're working out this can be a bit misleading if you're just looking at the scale. If you're lifting weights and doing regular exercise you will put on muscle which will offset the amount of weight you lose from fat on the scale. I lost 23 lb in the first 10 days just by dropping vegetables, I was already not eating carbs, and after that I stayed the exact same weight for several months but I was changing visibly in the mirror so I recognized that I was putting on muscle and burning fat.
Dairy is definitely a major issue for most people, and a very common cause for stalled weight loss, excess inflammation, and even weight gain on a carnivore diet.
I would actually say that your B12 was in an optimal range, again going back to the reference ranges that the lab uses and the reference ranges that you see when you measure healthy young adults. Most people getting lab tests are unwell and overweight, and that's not who you want to measure yourself against. You want to measure yourself against young healthy people.
Not everyone can metabolize folate properly, and some even have a gene mutation called MTHFR, and if you're in this category what this means is you need to eat a bit of liver once or twice a week. That's really the only supplement you'll ever need on a carnivore diet, it's just a bit more of the good stuff. If you're eating regeneratively raised grass fed and finished meat or eggs this will have many times the amount of nutrients such as folate and likely you won't need liver, but if you're not and your folate is low for whatever reason just add in a bit of liver a couple of times a week and you'll be fine.
Low vitamin d levels has been strongly associated with excess adipose tissue, as it gets sequestered within the fat as it's a fat soluble vitamin. So this can be why circulating levels of vitamin d can be quite low. 27 is very low though, so getting in the sun without sunscreen and taking a supplement is probably a good idea. There is a lot of vitamin d in fatty meat though, especially grass-fed and finished, and butter is a good source as well. Vitamin d is not just a vitamin though, really what it is is a hormone, so it's good to have that in more optimal ranges. Again looking at healthy young adults, a better range is 140 to 180.
Feeling pretty miserable and crummy towards the end with being a long-term ketosis can sometimes be due to electrolyte disturbances, though I more commonly find that when people are having cramps and similars experiences it's more to do with dehydration. But something to keep in mind. If you do take electrolytes, just make sure it's a version that doesn't have any sweeteners or flavorings.
And then last but not least, if you're having trouble with cravings getting back on a carnivore diet try to eat more fatty meat and this will often suppress those. Carbo diction is a real thing, but like any other addiction you get through it before too long. So just make sure you are staying well fed on fatty meat, and if you get carb or sugar cravings just eat some meat or eggs right then and there until that goes away. Usually after a week or two of eating as much as your body is asking you for the carb cravings go away.
Good luck with it and I hope that you are able to get on and feel great as a result!

You seem much happier in this video than your last handful of videos, it made me glad to see 💕 Its all about finding what specific foods will work for YOU, no one diet works for everyone. Also finding the right doctor(s) who can properly diagnose you, which it sounds like you are on the right path! I suffered with chronic illness and it took years of going through doctors, specialists, naturopaths, and even therapists before landing on a Functional Medicine doctor who finally properly diagnosed (and cured) me. I hope, and believe, you are on the verge of a breakthrough! Keep pushing through the hard stuff, and you are going to get there 💪🏻🙌🏻 Sending prayers and positive thoughts, love!!

I did a sort of modified clean Keto diet. Lost over 50 lbs… Then did a mostly high protein (almost 100% carnivore) low oil/butter diet…. While allowing myself to eat basically whatever on the weekends to cycle.
I dropped 30 lbs in about 1 month and a half …. Went from like 185lbs to 155lbs QUICK. No workouts, legit this diet is for realllll

It's not totally true , we are the same species , we have the same complex system, organs etc.. the carnivore diet CAN work for anyone if someone know really the human body. There is no recipe for everyone and carnivore diet is not a recipe , it's a concept we as human have evolve from it , so each people can need different ratio of fat and proteins , not the same frequency of meal , not the same amount of electrolytes and water, not everyone will take the same time to get 100% carnivore. But everyone CAN get the results others get on that way of living 🎉

That sounds CLASSIC heart-related symptoms! However, since you have been diagnosed hypothyroid (is it hashimoto's autoimmune?), it could be related to that. Please keep that checked and have them test you not only for T3, T4, and TSH but also antibodies. I am such a carb addict I have never been able to try an elimination diet to see if it made me feel better. I suck.
