Spring here in Portugal means everything is growing amazingly, but as summer comes closer there are certain tasks we have to do. The biggest task is brush hogging, and we have a massive area to do. Can we complete it in time?

Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

I am 70 years old and I love both of you so much. I really look forward to your videos every week. I enjoy seeing the love that you have for each other, your smiles, and your laughter. You have really come a long way since I began watching your videos. I wish you both many more years of love and happiness.
Now Theo needs a baler to bale all that tall grass to feed the animals when winter comes 😊
Is it wrong for me to say Theo and you Bea are beaming, Theo needed this farm and I think you also have grown, your both living your best Life. Many many blessings to you both, my Soul was healed by your music , gentle hugs, ❤❤❤❤❤
Not gonna lie guys…seeing a new video from you all each time is a highlight of the day. It’s a gift each time. Cheers….gardening myself today🌱🪴
Theo, as someone who have mowed lots of brush in Portugal, make sure you keep an eye on the temp gauge and blow the radiator often. This type of brush will throw a lot of chaff in the air and that ends up in the radiator, clogging the air flow completely. Compressed air or one of those battery powered blowers works great.
I've had situations where it required me to blow the radiator multiple times during the job.
Defo right, that why I keep the bucket low and slightly pointing down so it catches and flattens most the high grass before I go over it. I normally clean the radiator mesh off every few hours 🙏
@@theindieprojects Good practice! Have a great weekend! 👍
Good advice.
I know you were worried about the property not regrowing after the fire but WOW, it’s gorgeous with all its grasses and wild flowers 🌸 Goes to show how Mother Nature handles her own natural disasters.
Love to see you laughing like a child, Bea! So wonderful to see you, like this.
And Theo, thank you so much for explaining about the flowers you cut. I was worried about the bees and butterflies.
I’m so glad you, Bea, are back. This has always been both of you that makes it so enjoyable. I am sorry y’all had to cut that field of yellow flowers. They are absolutely beautiful. I’m from Alabama and 73 years old. You have no idea how much I love your videos. Keep up the good work and keep these video coming. What are you going to do with the barn redo at the other property?😃😃😃😃
It is so beautiful there! I love seeing all the flowers, but understand why you have to cut them. Miracle Mountain is such a wonderful property.
Bea....you're smiles and laughing are so contagious ❤
Great drone shots really gives us an idea of how huge this property is compared to your last one. Did you ever finish installing the kitchen in the old barn? Never saw a video on it? I would love a video on buying and owning a property in Portugal, pitfalls, the law things to look out for etc..
Those fields of gold are beautiful! Can you uproot some of them and plant them by your house? So enjoy seeing you laugh Bea!
Portugal is a Garden. Thank you for your caring.
Hey, Guy's ! It sounds like a great idea. From growing up on a farm, I really think it would be worth getting a sheep dog. We had a collie and German Shepherds, and both can be trained to keep the animals safe and keep them where you want them. Good luck 😎
Cheaper yet get a donkey
So happy to see you back it feels like ages because I enjoy your videos so much.❤️
Really loved the drone perspective. Nice to see too that there are still flowers for the bees even after all that mowing. I'm fascinated by the terrace system.
Great Pyrenees are awesome property and livestock protectors!!!
Theo's fashion, farm sheak, portugal proud, country casual 😂😂
Great blog as always! I think a tractor umbrella is in Theo’s future!! 🥰
That Fashion segment was just *chefs kiss*
I love how you two work, every job you do is done to perfection!. You're doing an awesome job on the land.
It's so nice to see you both so happy 🚜 ❤️❤️😊
Also…. BEA!!! You are looking so so good!! Healthy and fit. What’s your secret? It’s not work because you worked your butt off at the barn homestead. Also…. Love seeing you belly laugh on your tractor ride. 😂😂😂 Never too old to have simple kid fun ❤
What fire and floods???? Right?! it is like none of that happened. You are living in paradise. Enjoy every minute. Heather From Canada
One of the American Homesteaders I follow, attached an umbrella to that roll bar on your tractor,
to keep the sun off and give him shade. It makes a huge difference. Something for you to think about.
Your property is all so green! I told you that everything would burst again after the rains and with Spring and the truth is that the property doesn't even look the same anymore.
Have you heard of Justin Rhodes on CZcams. He’s doing exactly what you want todo. WITHOUT ALL THE fencing he just moves the fencing the sheep are in with his tractor. Really a brilliant idea. He also is a long time homesteader- and designs lots of smart builds to use with animals. Check him out!
What lovely meadow and the landscape are! I could almost smell the fresh newly cut grass.
Your Property is Beautiful. You two must be so very Happy. 😁💕🙏🏼🌹
The drone shots are brilliant. Really helped to see what you accomplished. Such a beautiful property!
❤ love when I get back with you and Theo, I really miss when I'm not seeing Bea and Theo you'll really makes my Day.
Love the sun cap!!And love the dark hair Bea!!
Bea, at your video 8:53 min in, you show a shot of the terrace - the tall spike plant with lovely thick broad leaves is Plantain herb - amazing to dry and use in salve - super easy to make and great to heal any skin injury - human or animal - and grows like crazy - also good for animals to eat as there will an abundance of plantain now that Theo is cutting so much. Plantain is one of the herbs that goes everywhere humans have walked, and it s such good medicine!
Loved the video of the fruit trees Bea, so lovely. TY for capturing that to share 😘
So glad to see you guys doing so well.
Bee I must say you are looking and sounding like you’re doing better at least I hope so you are such a beautiful person and I just love to see you in the video’s you are smiling much more and really look happy and that makes me happy to watch two people who are living there best life and truly love each other God bless you both.
So awesome. So glad you are happy now. I was so worried about you before. Love you 2 (plus animals).
I absolutely love Bea's laugh ☺️☺️☺️
Love seeing the terrace system. I wish I could have some of the cherries. I am glad a lot of the trees survived.
Her riding in the tractor bucket...."I'll have what she's having" lol
Sheep and goats eating all the grasses would be a great idea!!
I loved the fashion break! That's a new kind of thing from you guys. Here's to the creativity! (I do believe you're always creative!) The ergonomics and safety of your tractor are amazing. Think of those old metal seats graced by former generations of butts. You're riding in luxury! As a former farm girl "of a certain age," I wonder if tractors here in the US now include all those safety and comfort features or if the cowboy mentality continues to wreck backs. I'm pulling for the former. Because evolution is real and so is pain. xo
Hi guys... Wow the land looks amazing.. Its great to here all your plans for the land. Sheep Sheep, its all good. Theo the Shepard.. I like that.... I cant wait to see Bee's projects too... Planting Vegetables... Canning Fruits etc... Its going to be epic...
Lovely work you 2 are 🔶 good to see Bee smiling 😊❤️💪
You two are looking real good...all the walking around your land, I guess! Shame about the beautiful wildflowers but you definitely have to stay safe.
Hope you guys get to enjoy your new pond taking a dip here and there. Harriet and I think you should make your land sustainable. Fruits and Vegetables alongside grazing sheep. Great
Combination. Hope you guys are doing ok. Love you Dearly ❤❤❤ Harriet, Jim and Yuki. Richmond, Va.
Love the music! The two of you have been so blessed. Wishing you well, from Ohio. Always a 👍's up.
Good idea to have the shirt over back of your neck for sun protection…..next time wet the shirt, it will keep you cooler! Love the music! Laughter is the best medicine, Bea!
Bea and Theo, I loved watching the grass cutting and hearing about your plans for sheep. The drone shots of Miracle Mountain are awesome… it truly looks like a magical place❤️❤️
As a sheep farmer(wool shedding breed) in south west Australia, which has a simular climate to portugal. Sheep do require alot of input to keep them fit and healthy. Not to mention baling hay and storing.
Possibly consider out sourcing to a local sheep farmer.... I run a cell grazing system and practice regenerative farming. You'd need a largish herd (100) to crash graze a couple a times leading up to summer and a then spring. All dependant on plant growth.
You guys are so lucky what a great hardworking life you now have….
Grest video. Loved the perspective from the drone shots. And loved the trendy, stylish fashion show interlude!
For fire safety it's possible to plant low growing cover crops that are native there. Anything with a gel inside works. Second option is clovers, they're capable of adding nutrients such as nitrogen into the soil.
Ponds are an excellent idea, both lower down and midway up the slopes. That moisture, especially for the trees, reduces fire damage.
Strimming, ugh, but it's faster right now than using a scythe.
Maybe a local neighbour has sheep or goats that could be run through, with a person watching carefully. Possible for now.
I’ve been eagerly awaiting this update. So awesome to watch what you do over this year.
You guys should look into baby doll sheep. They're a smaller sheep that you can let go around your orchard and won't girdle the trees where other sheep as well as goats will. Also maybe check out alpacas. I had baby doll sheep when I had property and they were great lawn mowers.😊
Great to see such progress and to listen to you both being so excited about your future plans 😀x
You have well-thought out ideas for your land. Quite a Journey~Congratulations!!
Bea - I like it when you laugh seeing Theo smiling so hard while on the tractor - it tells me you are really pleased with how happy he looks! That’s love! P. S. I think the dark hair shade is the best one so far!
Sounds like great plans for your future.
Many hands make light work putting in all that fencing.
Have a special event
With people want to help. Bring their own tents & camping gear.
See great things happen and build more friendships & community
Blessings to you all!!
Please if you are considering getting sheep in you land have a look at the saloia blood lines to save them from extinction. That would be amazing ❤
Seeing and feeling you 2 are very happy and content, just really warmed my ❤. May many more blessings come your way!
I’m so excited for this new step of land maintenance and shepherding for both of you. I think you have such a happy home and future there on Miracle Mountain. Thanks for sharing with us💗🤩🤩
Very nice work, you two!
With each new episode, you reveal more of your wonderful property.
So happy for you 2 how much you have done to this beautiful place. Every step will get you closer to what you want to accomplish. Thank you for sharing your journey !!!
So much beauty. The terraces with all the yellow and purple flowers. So blessed.
Love your creative ideas, look forward to following you both on the journey 😊
Hi guys, I follow you a while ago, and honestly I love the music you chose for your videos. I like the way you face all "troubles" you have to deal with. I wish I could join you in your coming adventure trip, I´m sure you will enjoy and we will have the chace of watching on your channel. Hugs from Spain
Great to see you both look so great and enjoying life again. I can see a bigger brush-cutting coming very soon.
Thank you for being you! I watch and relax! God bless both of you!
You have the best music on your videos! Every week I can't wait to see your videos!
Looking at all you terrasses, you could start a beautiful camping 😊
I have always enjoyed, for years now, photography, your editing, music selections, & lite humor of your Portugal videos. Brilliant!!! Keep up the excellent work.
I love seeing Bee so happy, and relaxing, stay blessed my friend's
With all that you two have been through on Miracle Mountain(Monte Milagroso), nice hear your plans for the future spoken with pride and ambition!
Gool luck and GOD bless. From a super dry and summery Algarve.
I loved the music!!! Such a nice song!!!! And well done with the trimming
Hi Theo and Bea, lovely to see you both on your mountain sgain. Your land is amazing, you certainly have your work cut out on such a vast land. Guess all the machinery you have will help. ❤
loved the music in the middle of that one - it described you two to a tee!
Just such a beautiful surrounding vegetation, flowers, fruit trees and other many features that are just amazing how many things can be accomplished for your needs🎉 just an amazing area, wonderful blessing ❤
Great job!.
As always....awesome! Thanks for sharing Your dream as it unfolds. ♥️
Hi you guys! Be sure that sheep eat the vegetation you have. I live on a sheep ranch in Mexico. You´d be amazed how few plants sheep eat!
Have you looked at mini/compact balers? Nice small bales easy to handle and lift by hand. 👍
What a lovely video!! Theo’s fashion, Bee’s tractor ride, and the aerial shots made my day - and I always love when I hear a Drew & Ellie Holcomb song on one of your videos! 💛 Thank you for sharing your hard work, your dreams, and your creativity with us!
The fashion montage!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I have a neighbor who makes goat milk soap and puts dried flower petals in them. They are so lovely.
I am so pleased you are being so proactive about fire prevention, albeit required by the rules. We have had a very wet, snow packed winter. We are hopeful here in Oregon that this will prevent a devastating fire season. Time will tell. Well done, guys!!👍🌼
I absolutely love flowers, especially wildflowers t!
Amazing work. God bless you both 😊
Looks like everything is working out for you guys👍🇨🇦
It is so cool listening to your wonderful ideas for your mountain.. I can hardly wait for the sheep.
I love this channel!
The flowers are truly gorgeous..they will return next spring. Safety is first..
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. May the Lord bless and protect you and Theo and Bush hogging the land on Miracle Mountain
Thank you for the overview of the flower covered terraces. Beautiful
Theo you look like you are having a blast. 😂 Bee are you learning how to use all that equipment? Work doesn't seem like a chore if it's fun 😂
Great job
15:14 You're a big kid B ! FUN FUN FUN !!!
The property looks so good cut. Your plans sound absolutely perfect. You bring more to this world and my life, than you know. Your fan in Ontario Canada.
Bea that was so funny "They just have to go" loved that line lol
Aw what a good Team as per usual guys. It will make a great Vegie Garden patch!
I know you've got fur babies, but I either keep missing an update on Children or it's private. I just had a sense, at somestage an older Foster child would do so well there. ❤😊
