I would love a Quest 3 as I currently do have a Rift S if someone else is more deserving I hope it goes to them!

I struggle with my mental health a lot. Currently my agoraphobia is the worst it has ever been in my entire life thanks to the pandemic. I have been looking more into VR as an additional and alternative means of therapy to try and help “immerse” me in the outside world but from my safety of my apartment. The friends I’ve been able to make over the year through VRCHAT even without a headset have offered to help “take me out” since I have no support locally. Getting a quest 3 could potentially be extremely life changing for me if the apps I’ve looked into can provide the added support that I so desperately need.

I got the Quest 3 and immediately noticed the screen door effect that I've never noticed with the Quest 2. Do you really think SDE is gone? (genuine question, wondering if my headset is different)

For me, the quest three would be a great upgrade to the Q2 I already own. Recently upgraded my pc a bit and it can handle pcvr WAY better. I'm most excited for my first play through of modded SkyrimVR. Plus having two headsets would enable the Mrs. and I to play After the Fall together which I've been wanting for ages.

One of the best reviews I saw so far, I want the Quest 3 because:
1. Iv'e never experienced Pancake lenses, MR, AR etc (im sure im not the only one 😂)

I'd like to get it.About a year ago I was in a future museum where I could try out the Quest 2. There I first noticed how much fun VR is!!!! I only had a VR headset at home where you put your phone in and can only watch CZcams 360° videos, so I bought the surprisingly cheap Quest 2 shortly after. Since then I use it almost every day. When the Quest 3 was introduced, I was so excited that I convinced my boyfriend to buy it himself. My problem now is that my Quest 2 has at most an hour of battery life, which makes it difficult to play with my friend in VR, so I'm trying my luck here.
There are many reasons as to why I'd love to get my hands on a Quest 3, but if I had to choose a few it would have to be the following:
1. Testing the new colour passthrough along with the depth sensor
2. Experiencing the increased FOV and resolution (very excited for this one specifically, always seeking greater immersion ^^)
3. Less bulky design
I first got into VR with the Quest 1, only a week after it's release, couldn't stop using it whatsoever! - later testing the Quest 2, I was fascinated, at which point I knew that I will always love seeing how Meta's products are changing and improving.
If I win, I would give my friend my Quest 2 with comfort mods in a heartbeat!
I always go towards you for the new important VR news! Your videos are always right when I need them!
I would love the quest 3 as I am trying to expand my channel and my family is not in a financial state where we can afford a quest 3. I have been wanting one so bad watching new videos pop up and all the news about how good it is. Even if I don't win, I know whoever gets it will have a blast with it. Again, I'm glad I can always turn to your videos. Keep up the content!
I really appreciate the amount of thought and time you put into your videos! I only have the Quest 1 and missed opportunities on trading it for the Quest 2. Quest 1 obviously losing support like with Horizon Worlds, attended a few live concerts while I was able to. I know you can watch them anytime now, unless I lose support with that too 😂. I kept watching your videos though, love the content! Hoped one day I’d get the Quest 2 but so much time has gone even that is started to feel outdated. The Quest Pro was out of reach price wise but you got me hyped for the Quest 3! Keep up the great work!
I’m getting a quest 3 for MR home spaces - the augments look great and helps keep you a little more connected to those around you. Plus some lighter games like puzzling places would be cool in MR

Quick clarification, the quest 2 did not have nose flaps by default either, only with the silicone cover or third party facial interfaces did it have those! Great thorough review, keep up the great work!

I have heard others criticise the microphone but it sounds fine here. I wonder whether a female's voice is picked up better than a male's.
@@QualicSelf might be. Tbh i have a modmic but i got lazy getting it out / having to charge it so i ended up using the quest 2's microphone. So i hope the quest 3'a microphone just isn't worse

I know there's not exactly a ton of them, but this has always been my favorite VR channel. Thanks ladies for always being awesome. I personally want a quest 3 because I want to move beyond my quest 2 which still leaves me with blurry edges even though I have prescription lenses
Great job with this review! Would you mind elaborating a bit more on the controllers? With the improved tracking, how much of a difference is there compared to the Pro controllers (outside of above your head)? Do you still think it's worth the upgrade?
I love my quest 2 and would really like to upgrade. I think I'm mostly excited for the AR being more accessible, which means more developers will be driven to make games and tools (or at least explore that avenue)
Got the quest3, one of the things I was looking for was watching movies in it. I had the quest one but the clarity was too low to enjoy watching movies over using my TV. But now it's so sharp and immersive I'm going to watch everything with this headset, including 3d movies like avatar. Also using virtual desktop is very crisp I can use my desktop comfortably whilst sitting on my sofa or bed

I have wanted a Quest since the original first came out. It's been a dream of mine since I first learned about social VR platforms. I've always had a hard time making friends but for some reason I'm able to be myself so much easier online. Also I started 3D modeling last year and It is my dream to be able to see the worlds and avatars i created in VR! I'm hoping to be able to afford one by the end of next year but winning a getaway would be a dream too. Thanks for the review and the chance to win!

Can the Q3 “set itself up” using your Q2 settings, apps, preferences? (Like how iPhones do.) - or - is it a completely fresh set up from zero, and you have to install apps manually, and adjust preferences manually? Thank you again for your great videos!

I mainly use my quest 2 for PCVR over Air Link and i've always ran into problems with comfort (people with bigger glasses know what's up), wireless performance and visual clarity. A quest 3 sounds like the perfect upgrade for this use case and much more. Great review as always.
I would like to get the Quest 3 because: One of my close friends has recently made a purchase of the latest Quest 3. In contrast, I currently possess the Quest 2 model, but it's been experiencing issues with its battery life, which has left me quite dissatisfied. Consequently, I would be immensely thrilled and appreciative if I were to acquire a Quest 3 in the near future I extend my best wishes for good fortune to all!

Yes, I get the piano thing which will probably sell shit tonnes to aspiring musicians. But the whole point of VR is to get away from reality.

Thanks for the great review video! My largest concern with any new VR headset is something I've struggled with on both Q1 and Q2 headsets. Fast movement games, specifically Beat Saber, requires perfect tracking. Knowing you hit a note but the headset didn't "see" it is a very frustrating occurrence. Perhaps the Q3 with the Pro controllers would help this issue. The other issue I have with it's predecessors is the heat factor. Just putting on the headset makes me feel at least 5 degrees warmer. Not to mention when you get moving around a bit on those fast moving games, and I will get too hot very quickly. I'm starting to sweat within minutes, and even with airflow accessories, I'm fogging up the Q2 fairly quickly. Any notes about heat on the Q3?

My fiancee and I just have our first child and have 0 time to go anywhere and 0 money even if we did. I have a Quest 2 from launch day. We've passed it back and forth before on occasion, but it's not a very fun experience. It'd be amazing if we could play a few holes of Minigolf together when the baby is asleep.
Great video! So excited to get my hands on one sometime soon hopefully. My current daily driver is the Quest 1 and can’t wait to up my PCVR game. Smaller form factor and better comfort looks like it’ll make using Unreal Engine for VR stuff easier

I've been following VR since the Google Cardboard, and its insane seeing how far the tech has evolved since then. I've been wanting to develop for VR but haven't had the chance to get my hands on a headset just yet, but this one definitely looks like a winner mainly just for how feature packed it is for a relatively reasonable price.
I want to get the quest 3 for updated performance on VRchat, there are some compatible worlds that lag or are too much for the quest, I’m also hoping they’ll let us play better worlds now that the system can handle it.

There is seriously no AR applications. Quest pro has already proven to be a big failure. LOL

Hi Cas and Chary! I have purchased the meta quest 3 and got it 11th October and having lots of fun with it but I recently noticed it seems I have a permanent small fog in my right lens.. The trace is observable when I read text directly at the moment I put on the quest so its not because I am sweating.. I tried to wash it with a dry cleaning cloth but it stays there.. I saw some people are using an hair dryer, what do you think about it ? I have the feeling the fog trace is within the lens :s Maybe I caused it myself by using my own breath on the lens when trying to clean them with a dry cleaning cloth .. Thanks in advance :)
The fog finally disappear after I clean the lense with a tissu for glasses. Softly clean the quest 3 lenses.. Fog come back sometimes because of my own face temperature I guess but then clean again..
I want a Meta Quest 3 to experience the future aspect of AR and MR to date. My quest 2 broke at one point so it would be awesome to give it another go. Plus, games I have tried have updated and I don’t want to miss out.

I would like to have a Meta Quest 3 because I'm very interested in the mixed reality aspect. Recently, my university research thesis focused on using passthrough to assist people affected by Parkinson's disease, by creating a passthrough app using Unity 3D. Developing it on the Quest 3 would be a great opportunity and certainly a significant advancement for the research I am conducting

I was planning on upgrading from PSVR1 to Quest 2, but the night before I planned on going to Best Buy to get the Quest 2, Quest 3 was announced and it comes tomorrow. I’m so excited.
I would want a quest 3 primarily as a virtual work station on the go, in addition to an update to my OG HTC vive for PC vr and having beatsaber, synthrider, etc... for workouts on the go. Thanks for your review! Always appreciate hearing your experienced opinions.

The quest 3s mixed reality seems awesome I’ve been saving up for one since the first leaks and I’m very close to affording one!😄
I still remember waiting so impatiently for the Quest 1 release that I ended up being an Oculus Go just so I could experience the Oculus line of headsets. I still have my Quest 1 and although the controllers barely work and the headset itself is super outdated, I'll always cherish it. Idk if I will ever dip my toe back in VR anytime soon, mostly due to costs, but I will always fondly remember the memories I had and the people I've met within the metaverse.

I am looking to upgrade from my Quest 2 to Quest 3 so that I can add virtual monitors to my work setup and essentially work while in my headset. For gaming, I mostly use my quest 2 for PCVR games and it would be the same for the Quest 3.
After watching your video, I'm not sure if it's worth it to upgrade at this point, or wait and see what happens. Any thoughts?

Hello. Im in the market for a new headset. I am currently running a rift s and if is definitely showing its age.
I am very torn though between the quest 3, or the pimax crystal. I play a bit of full room vr but my vr time is usually spent in simulators like dcs and dirt 2.0.
With the lack of eye tracking and the smaller fov of the quest 3 vs the crystal would you recommend it still? It has some nice features and is about 1/3rd the price.

Can the warping issue be fixed via software or do we need to wait for the Quest 4 ?
With airlink or vurtual desktop do you still have to have your PC hardwired to your router and need to be yourself within view of thr router? Im hoping thsee requirements can be overcome with the Quest 3 because my room is not on the same floor as our router.
