Thanks for the video review! I tried clicking on the referral links you provided for the games and it is giving me an error.
@@rlbbahill - Of course, thank you for watching!
Which links aren't working for you? I just tested and the only dead one seems to be "Among Us VR" because it's $10.00 (which means it can't use the discount anymore - I will remove it).
@@aline.tech.reviews it was the beat Saber one
What do you think is best for a first time VR consumer? Quest 2 or 3
This must be the least biased review ever
This is one of the best, high quality reviews I've ever seen on CZcams. So many of the reviews out there just cover the hype and make it sound amazing. I appreciate the honesty and detailed real world applications. Now I can set my expectations more accurately as I look to upgrade from my Quest 2.
I can't believe you have less than 5,000 subscribers. Really hope this review keeps that number growing!
I truly appreciate that!! Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave such a lovely comment.
So true. Amazing! Thanks, keep it up!
I second that. Subscribed immediately
To be honest the quest 3 is an amazing VR headset for the price .
@burrisvideos: I can only strongly agree!! This review was awesome! Every aspect is covered in a very clear manner. At the end I felt exactly like your comment, that this is just a perfect review how it should be done.
Then I watched the number of subscribers and I misread it lol I thought 6.9 millions subscribers and I felt like "Of course the review is great, he's a pro with infinite budget", then I read the number again and I couldn't believe my eyes that such quality work is so badly rewarded!
I'm subscribing without any hesitation!
I've had zero experience with VR and I have the Meta Quest 3 coming on Monday. I'm a 64 year old PC gamer since the 80's so I'm very excited about this. GREAT REVIEW!! Thank you. You made me feel like I made the right choice for my needs!
Wooooot! Thanks for taking the time to watch.
I think you're going to love it! I still believe it's the best VR headset for first-timers; you are getting such an amazing value without skimping on quality. There's a ton of potential use cases and scenarios to explore. It's the only headset on the market I'd buy, as a consumer, at the moment; the next best option right now is to wait for another company's release.
How are you liking it??
@@Tylorgng. Regrettably, it wasn't for me. I will not say it wasn't incredible. But it turned out that for the same reason I can't use a CPAP for my sleep apnea, it also made wearing the headset rather uncomfortable. I returned it for a refund. Maybe you can't teach this old dog new tricks after all.
@@TheGlssr60 Understandable. May I ask what was uncomfortable about it? Was it too heavy or something?
how was your first experience with it ? I'm also a gamer who never even touched a vr headset and I want my first experience to be perfect :D
As a fellow Quest 3 owner, I have to say. Pretty spot on. It's my first VR device, so I'm content to wait. Enough on my plate to try out atm, personally. I have at least 40 games I want to try and that's not to mention the biggest game will release later this week
What is that game
@@Hbbygv - Asgard's Wrath 2 - drops 15.December (Friday). It comes as a free bonus with your Quest 3 purchase through to 1/27/204.
@@aline.tech.reviews Heard it was over 100+ hours playing time and a lot of good reviews.
Asgards wrath 2 is a really good game I’ve been playing it all night
Quest is really working well for pcvr games, only two I can't get running are, no man's sky, and elite dangerous, my laptop isn't powerful enough. Just freezes and crashes.
Truly, excellent video. So refreshing to see a no nonsense, straightforward, realistic and not hype-trainy overview of the headset. As someone who is really into vr and has been following this space for a long time, this is my favorite video I’ve seen on the subject in a while. Keep it up, I’ll definitely be subscribing. Looking forward to seeing your channel grow 😁
I really appreciate that, it means a lot. I've made a conscious decision to focus my channel on this path and avoid falling into the CZcams trap of being overly hyped to get free products and sponsorships (I noticed an overhwleming number these "overhyped" reviews on my feed over the past 6 years).
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave such a lovely comment!
Too bad this dude had you snipe this comment.
@@aline.tech.reviewsfinally someone I can actually watch and listen to without wanting to stick a blowtorch in my ear.
Really useful information delivered in a way that doesn't make me want to self harm. 👍
@@Munkyluvva - Haha, I truly appreciate that! ..and apologies for the late reply, looks like your fun description got caught in YT's naughty filter.
Damn, this is like the best review video of not just the quest 3, but of any hardware I've seen in a while. Great job man.
I really appreciate that. Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave such an inspiring comment!
I'm working on my process so I can get videos out more consistently in 2024.
This is the best Meta Quest 3 English-speaking review on YT.
I truly appreciate that - thanks for taking the time to watch.
The video is already a few months old but I wanted to take a few minutes to congratulate you. I have really viewed a lot of reviews (or supposedly so) and opinions in general and I have to say that your analysis is without a shadow of a doubt the most thorough and accurate, as well as being also very objective, without easy enthusiasms. Also the editing, really well done: high quality and many examples.
Really good.
I really, really appreciate that! I spent a lot of time thinking about what I would like to see in a review / what I felt was missing from most reviewers I watch on CZcams and really attacked from that angle. It's extremely reassuring to know that it resonates with you and that there are folks that appreciate the details as I do.
I plan to keep this style of reviewing! I am working on optimizing the process so that I can get videos out more quickly and turn this into a full-time career.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave such a lovely comment.
This is a serious quality video. Thank you for taking the time to make it for us 🙏
I appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch 🫡
What video did you watch?
Incredible video. Balanced, to the point, grounded, fair in assessing pros and cons, insightful across many different areas... even unexpected areas that end up being welcome topics of discussion.
Great job.
I truly appreciate that; I'm stoked to know I hit the mark. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
This is one of the best reviews of any product I have ever seen on CZcams. Great pacing and you always compare the actual product with your personal expecations and I really liked that all the cuts to other videos and screencaptures always supported what was said in the video, other channels seem to cut away randomly just to show something without purpose, I don't like that. Good luck with your channel!
I truly appreciate that! Thanks for taking the time to watch and to provide the lovely feedback.
I plan to stay consistent with all of these video elements!
You’re very underrated dude. Super high quality video. Hope you blow up soon 🫡
Truly appreciate that - thank you for the kind words and taking the time to watch!
You went completely HAM in this review. Extremely detailed, honest, and straight to the point. Definitely got my sub. Keep it up ! See you at 1mil !
My man, I truly appreciate that. Thank you for taking the time to watch, and see you at the top! 🫡
Great video! You've pushed in so much information in 40min video! I'm glad you set the correct expectation for working from vr. I'm using immersed as well for quite a while now and can't wait for the visor to the released as well.
I really appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch.
And yesss, I'm so excited for it. I hope 4k per eye is enough to make it worthy of daily use.
Thank you for the deep review. Your video/review ethics is definitely the way for a popular tech review channel. It was a pleasure to discover you.
I truly appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch.
Incredible review, watched so many before this but yours was so thorough and well paced. Well done and thank you
Truly appreciate that, thank you for taking the time to watch!
By far this is the best product review I have ever seen on YT. Great job.
Wow, I really appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch!
@@aline.tech.reviews I second that... I never expected to enjoy a 40 minute video on a headset I already own. (I have owned all the Quest headsets, including the Pro.)
@@JorgTheElder - That means a lot, thank you so much.
Curious, you hanging onto the Pro still? Is just collecting dust now that you've got the Quest 3 or do you still have use for it?
Well said. I may be an early adopter, the quest 3 may not be fully fleshed out yet, but i cant help but enjoy seeing this tech grow and im glad to be a part of it. Ive been enjoying Exercise, games, meditation, and im dabbling in multi monitor productivity learning blender. You say the resolution isnt the best for productivity, but scaling my monitor to 43"-50" is nice for not needing to squint at my 27" display, also being tall is a pain in the ass, so its nice to have that virtual monitor positioned higher up than my desk allows, sparing my spine haha. It may be the 3rd generation, but its definitely advanced enough to be taken more seriously as a commercial product than a novelty game console imo. Cheers on the great review!
Definitely agree with that - I feel like the Quest 3 has crossed that threshold to where this is real and usable for more than just games and tech demos. And haha, as a fellow tall person I definitely understand. I've also enjoyed having the ability to lean way back in my chair and look up with my head back and still see my screens (something I can't do with my static monitors).
And I appreciate that, thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a thoughtful comment!
This was one of the best VR reviews I've ever seen. I share your lofty expectations, and I really appreciate your honesty when talking about the current state of the hardware/software in relation to what it could be. Just subscribed, thanks!
I truly appreciate that - thank you for taking the time to watch and leave lovely feedback!
Very accurate breakdown. I personally thought my favorite experiences would be graphically detailed games like Red Matter 2 but it turned out that, much like flatscreen games, what really mattered was fun gameplay mechanics and good controls. I’m slowly trying a variety of different games that have been out for a bit to figure out what I like most before buying new expensive games that might be disappointing if they haven’t been updated for Q3 yet or if it turns out that type of game is not as interesting to me as I thought.
Right there with you! I do enjoy the visual fidelity too though - can recommend the Games Optimizer app if you don't already have it (it allows you to supersample/overclock so you can get a better visual experience from some of the lower-fidelity games).
I fell into the trap there, too. I didn't end up liking Assassin's Creed parkour mechanics very much and the gameplay is also very 'meh'. I wish I hadn't spent the money on it.
I find myself playing the games you can get in and out of quickly, like Pinball fx, Golf+ etc. I have to say I purchased Red Matter 2 and I'm not that far in, but I am finding it kind of boring. Like you said, the graphics are nice and I know this is very popular game- but it's not doing a lot for me at the moment. I will keep plugging away at it though.
@@kevinmach730 exactly great graphics but game play is soul destroying
@@silversubaru590I take it you've played it and are not a huge fan as of yet, either. It's weird cuz I like some puzzle games- the Room VR was one of my favorite games on the Quest so far. I still have not yet gone back to start playing Red Matter 2 though.
@kevinmach730 I know it's a great game of its genre but unfortunately I'm crap at it. Guess I haven't got that sort of brain.
As someone who also owns a Quest 3, I definitely agree! This is a great summary. I love the categories you divided this video into and find your opinion very reasonable. I love that the video is so thought through. Visually speaking, I think that you also did a great job recording and editing it and I truly enjoy the sound of your voice. I rarely comment on videos but you did such an exceptional job, I just had to let you know. :)
I truly appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave such a wonderful comment.
I hope you will let me know if I ever miss the mark in the future!
This was a fantastic, streamlined, all-encompassing, to-the-point review. You've earned a sub.
I really appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch.
Happy to see that you are still alive, it's been a while buddy 👍
😄. Appreciate that! And yes, this video took longer than expected to produce due to work + holidays + editing time. I hope to get into the flow of weekly videos here. TUC Pro 40-minute review should be live next week!
TLDR: Likely the best tech reviewer I have found on youtube -
You are by far, the most detailed, straight to the point, honest, but entertaining tech reviewer I have found yet. I honestly don’t know how you are such a small channel, because your reviews are such high quality. (I also appreciate that you are small in the way that you can interact with your community easier lol) I don’t normally put youtubers on such a high pedestal but I feel your content quality 100% deserves it! Thank you for being awesome and you have earned yourself another sub!
I truly appreciate that! ♥ Thanks for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. You confirm that the insane amount of effort is worth it, and inspire me to keep pushing forward.
I'm working hard behind the scenes to optimize my scripting & filming processes in order to get videos out more quickly. There's going to be another week or so gap before I lock that in, so I appreciate your patience in sticking with me!
@@aline.tech.reviews Absolutely, and ofc don’t overwork yourself!
Absolutely agree with the points you made. Your comment about being a tech enthusiast that couldn’t hold his curiosity resonated with me. I’ve had a Rift CV1, Rift S, and was really worried to make the dive to standalone. I didn’t think it’d be about to replace my PCVR setup, but lo and behold, it’s incredible. Very happy with my purchase
Love to hear it! And I agree, the ability to go wireless or fully standalone are invaluable and really bump the Quest 3's value up a tier. It's the primary reason I purchased it over something like Bigscreen.
it seriously bugged me that with most other AR systems your hands always appeared Infront of the display, I'm glad meta has fixed that
This is by far the best and most unbiased review of Quest 3. Thanks for making this I hope all your reviews are like this.
I appreciate that and I plan to make all my reviews like this. =)
I just can’t wait to see more content from your channel. It is amazing how well this video is produced; really profesional!
I truly appreciate that, thank you!
I am waaayyy behind schedule due to an illness in the family, but I am planning to start posting again before end of February! I have 3 reviews in the works, 1 is a comparison of all the top Quest 3 batrery solutions.
Really loving the quest 3s improved resolution. First upgrade since rift s and running wirelessly at 120 hz 120% res from a 4090 pc is so much better than I would have expected. Being able to move around the entire basement is wild.
The ability to stream wirelessly is literally amazing and quality and latency isn't noticeable IMO.
Dang you got the 4090? Is it worth the enormous price tag?
Yes it is @@kaleoscreations8069
Awesome review! Super in depth, and like that it was made after spending time living with it. 👏👏
👋 - truly appreciate that, man! Thank you for taking the time to support.
I really had to double check the subscriber count, I can't believe such a high quality review came from a small channel with 5k subscribers, the video is so high quality if someone told me it was stolen from a channel with 1 million subscribers I would have believed it, I will slap the like button just to help you out with the algorithm, Thank you for the review.
I truly appreciate that, thank you for taking the time to watch and help out!
Crazy enough, this video alone has given me 3k of those. I'm working on lots more in hopes of making this my full-time career.
SOOOOOO Much Information, You gotta love this guy... WOW! Thanks so much for doing what you did in this video along with everything you do.
Truly appreciate that!!! Thanks for taking the time to watch. =)
More videos are on the way; I've had a pretty big blocker here in my personal life that kept me from working on new content. I should be releasing again by the end of the month.
Great review! Also in Bobovr you can remove the facemask and the quest will hold up like a quest pro. Allows you to not suffer so much from pressure in AR games/programs, sometimes it breaks the immersion a bit, as in a multi-monitor program, but in most AR content contrary adds to the feel-good quality of the immersive experience
Appreciate that; thank you for watching!
I've tried without the facepad for virtual screens and found that it causes a lot of reflections on the lenses from other light sources/windows behind me. I prefer how much cooler it is on my face, but the reflections are too distracting for me to work =( I will try it for AR/MR experiences to see how it works for me.
Fantastic in-depth and organized review 💚 Super helpful! I definitely want to delve into VR after trying out a friend's psvr2. I want the best of the best and have been waiting for the Apple ProVision. However, whilst it seems it will definitely do mixed reality, movies, puzzles, meditation, and productivity, etc., the best (which as a filmmaker/video editor, is most of what I will use it for), I would still like to do some gaming and I have a good feeling it won't play nice with the Meta or PCVR storefront and apps. So considering getting the Quest 3. Seems to be the best and the best bang for the buck out now.
In the near future I would definitely love a Quest 3 Pro and Valve to release their second rendition
I truly appreciate that!
Yea, I think the bang for the buck you can't beat the Quest 3. Even if you would absolutely benefit from the 4k resolution per eye of the Apple Vision Pro, you could get the Quest 3 ($500) + Immersed Visor (4k OLED per eye @ $1000) and get both experiences for less than half the price. You would only lose a higher resolution mixed reality camera experience (of which there isn't anything good that exists for yet anyways). I don't feel the Apple internals + ecosystem + gimmicky experiences are going to be worth it.
Also interested to see if Valve is actually going to release a next gen device.
Actually a super viable combo with the Quest 3 and Visor thanks for the recommendation! Looking it up now. Unfortunately no reviews out for the Visor so going to wait to see how it compares to the ProVision. Hopefully you end up being able to review it.
Yeah I don’t like the secluded environment Apple creates, though at least it is generally a smooth experience and the products all communicate easily with one another. The main thing I like that they’re doing opposed to other companies is using more metal/glass in their products rather than plastic. I like any company that does slightly better to be environmentally conscious. But if the Visor ends up being a way better bang for the buck after reviews for both, I’ll get that 🤙🏽
Mine arrives in two days, I'll be using it for PCVR mainly. Your review was very down to earth and informative, subbed.
That's super exciting, and I think you're going to love it for PCVR! The visuals are more crisp than I expected. SteamLink also just launched a week or so ago, which is a free alternative to Virtual Desktop.
I appreciate that and thank you for taking the time to watch!!
That was one hell of a review. Good job sir! I have PSVR2 so don’t want or need a Quest 3, however I stayed till the end due to the sheer informativeness of your video.
Man, I truly appreciate it! Comments like this confirm the effort was worth it. Thanks for taking the time to watch!
This really is the best review I've seen. I can tell you really used the Q3, did your research, thought about your points from different angles, and the editing is very nice! I also gotta say with the Q3 as my intro to VR, I feel the same as you.
I really appreciate that! It was a lot of effort (especially editing part), so it's awesome to know it doesn't go unnoticed.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch!
Maybe I'll do a 6-12 month update video, and we can touch base again to see if we still share the same experience and see how much the ecosystem has improved.
@@aline.tech.reviews You're welcome! I totally understand how much work must've went into creatively editing a 40min video since I've made a couple videos in the past myself. It really enhanced the experience! That sounds like a great video idea and I'm interested to see how the Quest 3 changes after a number of updates and your takeaways on it!
I am a Quest 3 owner, and this is by far the most spot on an honest review on CZcams or anywhere on the Quest 3. And though I am grateful and love my Quest 3,
I was worried that I may have purchased a faulty product as It does not function as advertised but rather it functions exactly as this video states. What a relief it is to know that my Quest 3 is working as it supposed to. Thank you so so so much for your honest review.
How do you know whether or not both of you got defective devices
@@scifi_shop - I believe OP is referencing the passthrough quality. Check out my other video on the subject, we know because nearly everyone else with a Quest 3 is having the same experience (and the tech just isn't there to make it as good as the recorded footage).
I also ran surveys on Reddit and Facebook and got the same feedback.
lol
Excellent video. I wish I had watched this before our purchase!!! I run my VR with a fan blowing on my face didn't know my eye balls could swet lol!!! Thank you
LOL. Yea it definitely can get toasty in there!
I'm shocked to see you only have about 7k subs, the production quality is top notch. There's no doubt this channel is gonna blow up in the future. Really great review, I subbed!
That means a lot, thank you!! Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment =)
BEST REVIEW!… Straight forward and very informative. Thank you!
Thank you!!
I think you nailed it from a hardware perspective. the quest 3 seems like "just enough". I think the quest 3 will continue to exist for a long time as an entry model. not saying the quest 3 specifically but new devices will come out that are cheaper and altered but the entry level vr headset will always be something similar to this. I think the quest 3 sets a baseline for any headset in the future.
Agreed - I don't think any other company currently in the game can break the cost-to-performance ratio that Meta has offered here. It feels unbeatable and I believe I read that Pico even pulled out of the race, and instead is going for a higher-end headset. Seems like the other headsets (like Immersed Visor, Bigscreen, etc.) are all going to specialize in a specific use case that aims to be just a bit better than the Quest 3 in their specific area for those who want a specialized device.
The headset actually is being sold at a loss. It costs $478 to produce and with fulfillment and shipping it is close to if not surpassing the $500 price tag. It is heavily subsidized with game sales and first party accessories.
Agreed! I believe in this video I stated the estimates a supply chain analyst and tech enthusiast have come up with separately were ~$200 in subsidization
Can’t overstate how great this review is … well paced, well informed and great overall production … subbed 👍👍
Much appreciated! Thanks for taking the time to watch.
The most complete review on the Quest 3 i've seen from now ! (And i've seen many). Excellent job !
Truly appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch.
I have the quest 3 and this was a very good review. It's so funny how you trigger so many vr warriors
I truly appreciate that! Thanks for taking the time to watch.
And lolol, yea - not sure what's going on there.. I've noticed this phenomenon on my e-ink device reviews as well. There's a very passionate group of users that I was NOT expecting in both niches - it's almost as if they base their own worth on their tech choices.
Well done, thank you!👍
Appreciate you taking the time to watch!
I have to say, this video is so informative and enjoyed seeing it. Thank you 😊
Best review I’ve seen so far. Subbed immediately. Keep it up!
Truly appreciate that, and welcome aboard!
This review is better than any I've come across. I'm definitely giving this headset a miss until VR steps up. It's not a bad headset, but it could be better. I am not one to spend money without considering all angles first. Maybe future updates will drastically improve the experience.
I truly appreciate that! And agreed, it's not a bad headset by any means and is obviously very-well engineered - it simply tries to "do it all" to cater to a wide audience which means you can likely find a headset better than it for any singular use case. Together as a package, it's unbeatable (especially at this price point).
I'd say it's probably worth a venture into a Best Buy or Microcenter to try it on for like 30 minutes to see if it tickles your fancy for most people. Anyone with the same expectations as myself would be better off waiting for the Quest 4 or alternate headsets that are being announced fairly regularly these days. I believe we're about to get a spike in headsets as Meta + Apple + Immersed + Bigscreen are facing off here and micro OLED screens become cheaper to mass produce.
@@aline.tech.reviews I completely agree with you. I have not tried a VR headset yet, and I have been tempted to buy a Quest 3 to satisfy my curiosity and give me some long-term entertainment. However, I feel that in the near future, I'll find myself regretting the purchase and wishing I'd waited for a 'true VR experience'. The time you spent making this video and the depth you went to explaining everything is much appreciated. Thank you.
Don't overstate the cost or undervalue your enjoyment. Do you pay $20 to see a movie at the theater? Is an hour of enjoyment worth 10 bucks an hour? Do you think you'll enjoy the product for 60 hours? Will they make a better one later? Yes. Do they make a better one now? For the price, no.
It's like waiting for color TV and refusing to watch any b&w content until color is introduced decades later.
Be careful it burns !!
@@ewade244 I agree strongly with this comment. If you have a Q2 currently, the question of it being worth it becomes a bit more subjective as you are at least in the ballpark of what the Q3 can do for the moment. But if you've got nothing now and you're interested in VR, waiting for it to be perfect is sort of a flawed strategy. There is always something better around the corner. While there is always room for improvement, we have finally passed the threshold into VR that isn't gimmicky and can provide immersive and entertaining experiences NOW. Lastly, this video confirmed what I thought about the production cost of the Quest 3. While most tech eventually goes down in price, I think there's a chance this could end up costing more in a year like the Q2 did for a while.
Coming from a rift s its a night and day upgrade for me personally although there are things I miss from the rift s (Mainly its easy to navigate UI)
Love to hear it was a massive upgrade! They've definitely outdone themselves in terms of quality vs. price - it's impressive. I do hope they upgrade the UI as it's missing a lot of quality-of-life features.
Awesome dedicated CZcamsr, Keep up the good work!🙏 I think you forgot to post the controller handstraps link btw
Truly appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch. =)
I didn't link the handstraps because I've only had them for a couple days and I didn't feel comfortable suggesting them (I don't know how well they will hold up or if there are any flawS). They definitely do the job so far and are comfortable, they are the "AMVR Controller Grips" on Amazon (the version that fits into the battery slot, not the rubber one that slips over the entire controller).
I will add that there are like 20 different brands making these - I picked this brand only because of their Reddit + Amazon reviews.
This is top tier reviewing. Expecting great things from this channel.
Truly appreciate that, thank you!
This is the most thorough and detailed review I've so far!
Makes me happy to hear, thanks so much for taking the time to watch!
I would definitely like to see the comparison of battery solutions.
If you have the cash, any of the Anker Prime batteries at 27w and above work amazingly well. I stay at 100% for hours.
Can you mount them to the Bobovr headset tho? @@JorgTheElder
Congratulations for the video. Very thorough analysis and well-explained. Do you think it's worth it coming from the Quest 2? I'm interested in augmented reality for working with the piano
What do you do in AR on the piano? If you're planning to use an app like PianoVision, then it's probably not worth the upgrade. It's effectively "Guitar Hero" but for the piano (it simply drops notes and you have to hit them on time"), and doesn't work well unless you have a MIDI keyboard connected directly to the Quest 3 headset. The virtual keyboard, if you don't have a MIDI keyboard, does NOT work well enough with hand tracking to be useful.
RE: Quest 2 vs. 3, it's worth the upgrade if you absolutely need the upgraded cameras for AR/XR experiences - the cameras are no doubt better (just keep in mind it's still blurry - reminiscent of an old 720p webcam).. or if you use your Quest 2 a lot and want the upgraded visuals. Otherwise, I'd stick with the Quest 2.
@@aline.tech.reviews Thank you very much for your answer! As a musician who started to use Unity and Unreal Engine, I wanted to work in the creation of immersive experiences for musicians, but for piano players is quite difficult to use VR (you can't see your hands). Maybe I can ask Santa Claus to help me with the upgrade... Thank you very much and congratulations again for your super high-quality content!
Aha! If you're creating immersive experiences, then I would definitely get Santa to help out with the upgrade and potentially sell your Quest 2. I think the upgrade, in your case, is worth it! You will want the latest and greatest to develop on. The camera quality + capabilities of the Quest 3 will help you "make more" - and I hope you can help make the ecosystem better!
Awesome, detailed and honest clear very useful review, presented perfectly! Thank you, I enjoyed it a lot!
This review is amazing, it goes over literally everything i had questions about. subed and liked
Thank you for taking the time to watch! Truly appreciate you
As many others have said, this review was one of the best I’ve ever seen for any product. You had no filler, stayed on point, and still covered a massive range of information. I wish all reviews could be even half as good as this one. Thank you for putting so much effort into making this video.
I truly appreciate that, thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a thoughtful comment. You all confirm it was worth the effort.
Excellent review. Seeing how new mixed reality is at this quality level and price, it's likely that developers will NOW start flocking to this area. And for traditional productivity apps (Adobe Premiere, MS Word, etc), it's time for VR versions that break free from the 2D screens they've been limited to. With VR the user can look around, walk through space, teleport instantly (uh, to their "file manager" which are cartons in a storeroom!). Thanks Meta for getting the ball rolling on this.
Well stated, and I share this excitement for the future!
Underrated channel like damn the video covers everything
Hey man, great review! 100% agree with what you said. I'm one of those new VR persons that just bought his first headset (meta quest 3) and although I've realized its not quite what I excepted from some apps (eg. immersed) it is just a mind blowing experience in other fields. And like someone said, truly refreshing review of a product.
ALINE tech have you tried the Vision Pro yet? I think its a big step towards the VR future you are hoping for, not a great price tag but amazing technology nonetheless
I haven't and wasn't planning on it since I'm not in the Apple ecosystem; however, I've gotten enough requests that the views on a review video might help it pay for itself.
I am very far behind my video schedule due to my father being ill, but I may end up picking up a AVP in mid-March and giving it a spin.
@@aline.tech.reviews I feel you, I tend to stay away from Apple but I couldn't help but to be impressed by it. Too bad it's out the price range of normal consumers. I'll try to remember to check back in a few weeks to see if you got one
This review is pretty spot on. I think there are 3 improvements they need to make until VR headsets are going to be common household item.
1. The size and weight
2. Longer battery (perhaps at least 3 hours and fast charge capability)
3. Passthrough camera upgrade (way too blurry IMO, and like u mentioned, best for just seeing what's going on around you)
I'm still thinking about returning the quest 3 as I already have the quest 2. The image quality is much sharper and clearer when reading text, that's for sure but graphics is not much different IMO.
I want to use this mainly for work but I feel like the experience would be much better if those 3 things are improved on
Appreciate that, and agree with your improvements - I'd prioritize #2 and #3. I think we'd all live with it if it was a few grams heavier but lasted 3x as long.
What kind of work do you do? If you're wanting virtual screens, I would check out the "Immersed Visor" - it is promising quite a bit for an insanely fair price (at cost); it won't be released until next year but worth following if you're wanting that use case. It's being made by the team who created ImmersedVR as they're trying to add a hardware play to make their enterprise offerings more appealing to clients.
@@aline.tech.reviews I work in the IT industry (software development, kind of. its low code, no code development).
As for the Immersed Visor, that was the next thing i was goin to look at after finishing this video. That does piqued my interest.
I'll subscribe now because of how detailed you are on this video you are actually the most detailed youtuber on vr so kudos to you
Thank you! I truly appreciate it.
Thank you for the detailed review! Keep it up!
Thanks for taking the time to watch!
The passthrough is a fantastic addition when playing games like eleven table tennis and other action filled games in smaller spaces. It prevents you to punch a wall or step on the cat in the middle of a game. Piano vision is great combined with my real digital piano, I haven’t tried on a virtual piano yet though.
Anyone buying this must buy a portable battery pack.
Agreed, it's a must-have.
I use two Baseus 30W 10000mah ones.
Sir, your audio is absolutely great. Thank you.
Haha - appreciate that! I thought I butchered the audio on this one (maybe it's only with some headphones).. but I have a note to not do that in the future.
Thanks for taking the time to watch!
Who’s watching this after buying it already 🗿🗿
👇
Incredible video! It's been a very long time since I was completely immersed in a 40 minute video like I was with this one. Great info and helped me immensely with my purchase decision! Thanks a bunch! Subscribed!
I truly appreciate that! And thank you for taking the time to watch; I definitely understand 40 minutes is a lot of time - it means a lot.
This was an excellent video, phenomenal actually. Everything was very clear, and you delivered the news like a professional news anchor. I didn't hear a mention of sidequest games, but the majority of these seem to thrive off novelty as the purpose of sidequest is a testing ground for vr enthusiasts, not a general audience. Of them I would only recommend 2077, and Red Flower
I truly appreciate that!
I didn't mention Sidequest as I couldn't get enough time with it and the review was taking ages to produce. It looked like it enabled potential for illegal activity. I was playing it safe because I wasn't fully sure of its capabilities and reputation in the market. I'm more educated on it now after some research. If I make an updated video in the future to review the UEVR mode, I may tie in more games + Sidequest
I'm surprised that ure a small channel, that is the best an detailed review that I've ever seen, u just covered everything hahaha, great job
Haha, I truly appreciate that, thank you!
Crazy to think this all started from Google glasses
I have a short attention span so I had to skip to "Is it worth it?" lol
🤣. No worries! I hope it was helpful. Just make sure you leave me on autoplay while you sleep so I get those watch hours (just kidding)
Please make more videos, just found this channel and it’s awesome
Appreciate that! And more videos coming soon, I promise. I have like 5 in the pipeline.. including the Apple Vision Pro and Rabbit R1 + more Quest 3 videos.
My dad has been very ill and I haven't been able to film for months. I will be back home in a week or two to begin filming again!!
@@aline.tech.reviews sorry to hear about your dad, hope he is better and please don’t rush back into making videos for us, family is always more important.
Easily the best review I've seen of a vr headset.... ggwp.
This was a very good review, I absolutely enjoyed watching all 40 minutes of it. Thank you!
I appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch. =)
Mu first time watching your video and I gotta admit that you definitely need more subscribers. Great job 🫡
I like this channel. Your reviews strike a nice balance of early-adopter enthusiasm and dispassionate appraisal of the tech specs. Nice work, keep it up
I truly appreciate that! Thanks for taking the time to leave such a nice comment.
I definitely plan to; appreciate the patience as I'm working to get out more videos ASAP. This past month was a good proof of concept that I can turn this into a full-time job so that's going to be my next goal.
Hands down best review out there for quest 3. Impressive is an understatement for how well you did creating this video.
I really appreciate that, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
Damn this review is thorough. 🤯 Can't believe you're only on the edge of 7k subs. Take one more to help with that!
+1, I appreciate that! Thanks for taking the time to watch.
What a detailed and comprehensive review. Subscribed.
Appreciate that! Thank you for the sub =)
I’ve just bought my first VR today, it’s arriving tomorrow. I can’t wait, it’s been years since I first experienced any virtual reality and it was a restricted 2 minutes at a trade show when VR was ‘the next big thing’. Excited to have a good rpg to play on it too!
Wooooot!! I think you're going to have a blast.
Also, as a FYI, they currently have a Christmas sale on the Meta store - games are going from like 30-60% off (most at 40%). Good time to stock up on anything you think you might want in the future if able.
So cool. I had the Occulus 'Go' and that had voice mode!!!!!
You could open a browser, click on the microphone icon and speak...
Thank you for the concise yet comprehensive review! (as concise as a full-review can get without sacrificing important details, anyway haha) I am not in the financial position to be purchasing headsets at the moment, but VR is a huge passion of mine regardless and I love keeping up to date with newer headsets. I am absolutely going to be looking out for future reviews!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and leave a lovely comment!!
Passion like yours fuels the fire for me to keep making content. I definitely understand its not feasible to keep up with every new release. I think we're going to get some big upgrades in the next few years, as manufacturing proccess get more cost effective, now that headsets are coming into the "mainstream". I think it's wise to hold and wait a few years and then jump into the next generation; this generation's leap wasn't long enough.
This is a brilliant review. Thank you for your insights.
Appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch.
Wow such a great video. The explanation is on point in every seconds of the video. 👍
I truly appreciate that!! Thank you for taking the time to watch
Thanks for this well rounded honest review, ill wait for now.
Thank you for taking the time to watch! If you still want to dip your toe for cheap, the Quest 2 is an amazing deal if you find one used.
Nice to see a youtuber do a real informative smart review. I hope Meta watch and learn from you.
I appreciate that! Thank you for taking the time to watch.
Incredible review. Exactly what I needed. Thank you.
I truly appreciate that and I'm glad it was helpful. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

You gave all the information I needed to buy one. New sub and thumbs up.

Would love you to do such an in-depth review of the Apple Vision Pro. This review boasts fantastic and objective detail. Thanks.
