Gardening in the heat while managing a full-time job presents a unique set of challenges. Early morning or late evening becomes the prime time for tending to plants, avoiding the scorching midday sun. Hydration, both for the gardener and the plants, is crucial. Mulching can help retain soil moisture and reduce the need for constant watering, while shade cloths can protect delicate plants from excessive heat. Efficient time management becomes essential, balancing work commitments with the demands of a thriving garden. It's about finding a rhythm, perhaps dedicating weekends to more intensive tasks and using brief weekday windows for quick maintenance.
Reconsidering the garden layout under these conditions adds another layer of complexity. The current design might not accommodate the intense summer heat or the limited time available for care. Shifting towards a layout that maximizes shade, promotes better air circulation, and includes more drought-resistant plants can make a significant difference. Raised beds and containers might be easier to manage, allowing for focused watering and care. The goal is to create a sustainable, low-maintenance garden that can thrive with the gardener's limited time and in the high temperatures, ensuring a productive and enjoyable gardening experience despite the constraints.

    Hey Georgia Girl!
I recently discovered your channel and I have made it my mission to view all your videos. Your yard makes me happy; I love it. I love and appreciate your dedication and enthusiasm to keeping your yard looking so spectacular. I also live in Georgia and in my "neck of the woods" Spiderwort is a weed. Yes, the blooms are pretty, but those evil devils are invasive perhaps more so than the purple heart. The root system of the spiderwort is similar to cooked spaghetti noodles, and they love new territory. I did a bit of research and discovered that purple heart is a species of spiderwort, so I guess it's not surprising that they share the same invasive tendencies.
I love your channel and I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store next. Thank you for sharing your amazing garden. You're an inspiration. Be Blessed!

@@deideosby7349 Evening Deide thank you so much for your kind words and support on my garden journey. I did hear that about Spideerworts. I’ve had them there for about 3 years and to sort of contain them they are actually buried in plastic pots that every 2 years I dig up and cut the roots place back in pot and bury Lol. That is really interesting about the Purple Hearts being in the same family. See that’s what and why I love gardening, you can alway learn something from others. Thanks also for sharing your knowledge.
