- This video has been three months in the making, and instead of delaying it further, I thought I'd get the first half out now and label it part 1.
As you can tell, it's about one of my favourite mysteries in the series, The Tricou Family. I just wanted to natter on about them for a while and here we are. In this video, I talk about who they are, the mystery surrounding them, the drama, and their weird quirks and glitches. I hope you enjoy.
In part 2, we will go over the descendants and my thoughts and theories. Hopefully, that video won't take three months!

True! I've heard the team are working on the lore, or something, so I guess we'll have to see where that goes in the future.
I really like that the second you resurrect them, they all start to jump at each other's throats. No bios for these sims is, on one hand, frustrating; on the other hand, it gives the player the opportunity to be creative in establishing what happened in their game. In my Downtown, I just assumed Jennicor was the one who started the fire on purpose to kill everyone - she died last after all and her platinum aspiration shows that she was really happy with their deaths. She probably despised Kiernan for spoiling the upbringing of Gvaudoin, the chosen next heir, so she deemed the lineage as doomed and worthy of killing off instead (all the husbands took the Tricou surname after their wives, so it must be a matriarchy for sure).
God the part about Beau Broke had me freaking hollering. I dunno why but that part was so funny to me.
In all seriousness though, I absolutely love this entire video. I think this is the most in-depth Tricou video I've seen thus far and I love all the research you put into this. One thing I also always found fascinating is how Fricorith resembles his aunt and uncle more and vise versa with Gvaudoin.
I ressurected the family for my Shakespearean Veronaville where they take on the role of another aristocratic family and all are Vampires haha. I also made the Downtownie Teens Vampires and headcanon that Jon Smith wasn't as nice as his personality makes him out to be... Or perhaps he wasn't aware of what his actions caused. But he basically got around town and due to being a Vampire his kids were born Vampires as well, all of their human mothers died when they were pretty young, making them orphans. And as one might expect they all kinda dislike Jon Smith for abandoning them and not even recognizing them as his own. The rest of the family eventually took them in, in my game and finally gave them the recognition as family that they deserved. :')
You can get the couples to fall in love with a trick.
1. Have them reach best friend status
2. Buy the love potion from the match maker
3. Have them drink it at the same time and make them do some romantic interactions
4. Have one of the sims propose while the potion is in effect
5. They will become engaged and after the cut scene plays they will fall in love again
this video is so well made and hits the exact itch i've had for this family in the past year since learning about them too. they totally deserve more content, so thank you for your contribution!

Can't wait for Part 2! I just sent John Smith Tricou's goth teen son to college. It'll be a while before he rises up in the Paranormal career but I'm determined to resurrect the Tricous vanilla without using cheats

kinda glitchy but fun to play
I added them to my uberhood and it's been an interesting experience. The husbands are in Olive's garden, I deaged Jennicor and she is now married to Chloe Curious, and the rest are surviving since their funds are gone now.
Also, Rainelle is married to Nervous(now called Protea) and they are living a happy life together.

Thanks for the info. How exactly do you resurrect them with out cheating? Do you have a sim who went to college for paranormal career and got the career reward? And then how do you resurrect the others? And how do you go about turning the teens into playables?

I love this family and one day I want to get them all resurrected. Once I got Jon resurrected and then he resurrected the teens. Then Gvaudoin (oh I could never say her name right!) resurrected Kiernan. Kiernan resurrected Jennicor and that's when things took a bit of a turn. Jennicor came back Very Happy about being resurrected and almost immediately fell in crush with Keirnan! I actually wound up letting them be together because why not! One day I will get the who family resurrected.
I love the idea of toddlers giving out all this money to other sims. LOL! That's too funny.
I can't wait to see Part two. I would love to see more done with this family.
