  • Started making regular Hot Process soap in 2013 the process was so long for me I stopped and stayed making Melt & Pour soaps. This year I found out about a faster way to make Hot Process and I fell in love with making soap from scratch again. So here is my first video of teaching Hot Process. I am still learning and as I do I will share what I learn with you. One thing I am working on is making it more fluid. I will definitely make a video on that. I would love to hear your struggles and what you would like to learn. In the meantime let's start soaping :). **This is my first Hot Process soap video. I realize there are still a lot to learn with editing but please bear with me the next ones will be better and error free, I hope lol.
Enjoy the video. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to subscribe!

I just used up the last of the bottle of lye I bought to try cold process soap (4 batches! Smaller than what you do in other videos) but this is so intriguing. I don’t have a crock pot available to me but I’d love to try hot process, this looks like a great thing to experiment with!

I've only seen this method once before and can't wait to try it. I threw my crockpot away and just went to Goodwill today and there were none. Shocker, anyway, can't wait to try this method. Thanks for sharing

I really enjoyed watching your video on TV (I and watch CZcams on my TV)... just a thought... for extra support, maybe a cookie sheet under your silicone mold for round soap (where did you get your mold?) might help when you're pounding it down... I, too, enjoy watching Tina Moenck's for hot process. The other person I watch is Valerie Mosher of Shalebrook Handcrafted Soaps... I've learned alot from both her and Tina.. Valerie has many tutorials where she includes recipes in the dropdown box that give you a FLUID hot process soap that you can actually do swirls with!!! From watching Vaoerie, I learned that adding Greek Yogurt to my hot process soap along with other milks (like coconut milk) helps make the soap more fluid.. she also adds the clay at the beginning, with the oils when cooks her soap... she also has a Christian soaping group on Facebook from which I've learned much. ❤, k

Oh wow love the info about the groups. Yes I've watched their videos and I am in Tina's facebook group. Tina is AMAZING. Would love the link to the other group I can join too. I have done soap with silk yogurt and another one with coconut milk too. All amazing. :)

I have one of those mat molds, you need to have an old cookie sheet under it so you can tamp the soap down better. I love the color of the soap. Beautiful!

I have had to Google so many things about CZcams. I think the annotation is found under the video manager. I create my videos with iskysoft.

I liked the video - very interesting. also I subscribed to your channel . I suggest if possible for you - to find better angle to the camera - closer to the soap with more light . I also have this problem in some of my videos they came out too dark

Just so I am clear, you took your dish out of the crock pot and didnt apply any other heat the whole way thru....yet the soap was rising and volcano-ing etc ? I am researching to start making sheep milk soap and the hot process has gotten my interest over the cold process method based on how soon the soap is ready.

Not true about eo and shipping. Tje flash point is where the eo will vaporize and you will lose its scent, unless you add it at a.lower temp than flasjpoint.
