    High Temperature Hot Process Soap Recipe - 1200 gm oils
    45% Tallow - 540 gm
    25% Coconut Oil - 300 gm
    20% Canola Oil - 240 gm
    10% Shea Butter - 120 gm
    Lye - 179 gm
    Water/Goat's Milk - 456 gm (90 gms goat's milk added after the cook)
    3% Sodium Lactate (36gm) and 5% White Sugar (60gm) added to water before adding Lye.
    Additives:
    French Green Clay - 2 Tbsp added to hot oils
    Spirulina Powder - natural colorant
    Superfat - 6% - (72gm) - Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter
    Honey - 1 Tbsp
    Essential Oils - 37gm - Patchouli and Sweet Orange

    I have never done it this way. I always keep pot on. I’m impressed and will definitely try it.

      You should! As long as the temps of your oils and lye solution are both around that 200 -220F the saponfication process happens very fast without any cooking. This is why I love this method.

    What are the advantages to the high temp hot process soap?
    I notice you take it out of the cooker once fully heated, whereas I start at around 160-170, mixing until light trace and cooking for the next 45 min or so until the translucent stage.

      yes, I mix the oils and lye together at high temps of around 200-220 F. This makes it a faster process and no need to cook it in a crockpot. Once you blend the hot oils with hot lye solution the saponification process only takes about 10-15 minutes! this is why I prefer this method. Just need to be ready to do a lot of stirring!
