- There are A LOT of cheaters on The Hive Minecraft Bedrock server at the moment. Many players are unhappy with this, and are begging for The Hive to do something about it, with some suggestions being to "make the anticheat better" or "just ban hackers". Like I discuss, however, it's not that simple, which is explained more in this video. All of this, over some Hive Bedrock Skywars background gameplay.

Even if they got a better anti-cheat they still need to enforce better rules to vent out the toxicity on the server. Every game I play now days theres some 12 year pld "wanna be technoblade" trashtalking in chat. Granted they all suck at the game but its still annoying

Yes this thing increased alot when big content creators like Evident post vids releated to hackers.. the growth of hackers increase like 90%
After that video i was encountering like 1 hacker in every single skywars match i played...

3:54 It happened to me when I found a elytra on a chest in skywars and tried to use it. When I started flying,the game kicked me out for no reason. Why would they put something that makes you leave the match?
It also happened without the Elytra case. I was playing the lifeboat server normally,when sometimes I randomly gets kicked and a chat message appears saying: "Suspicious behavior dejected,teleporting back to the lobby" I got very mad everytime this happens because... I WASN'T CHEATING! They need to improve the anti-cheat to ban hackers and prevent the kick of a innocent player.

Yep, one time when I played Ghost Invasion on the Hive, there was someone who went to a high, out of reach place. Most of us were ghosts and we tried to win, but that one person ruined everything.

The fact that pvp gets worse every time the game is updated, and the time it takes for a player to understand the broken mechanics of bedrockc and hive pvp, leads players to cheat, how easy it is to find a ghost client and use it, I really think that the game is simply badly done (especially in pvp) and how easy it is to exploit it, worse how accessible a hack client is, and Like you said, if a player gets banned, he will simply use another account and the story repeats itself.
i think they will make it like java u can only use one acount for one purchase

everyone's talking about seeing cheaters everywhere.
honestly i've almost never seen cheaters on the server. i'll see a cheater maybe once in every play session, not even that.
i'm not sure why that happens - i guess i play at a different time, seeing as i'm australian.
IP banning is a very good idea. many other servers do this, and it works well. the alt detection system seems to already be in place, so i see no reason not to do so.
i've been staff on a (decently large - 600-1k players) server in the past, and IP bans have always worked. i've never heard of IPs changing daily, and even if they did, it never seemed to affect the system.
i think the issue here is not a question of whether it can be implemented, and rather HOW it can be implemented. this is the same with the nick system. other servers have been able to make a nick system that doesn't reveal names in the pause menu. i've been told that the reason the hive can't implement this is because they're a featured server and microsoft prohibits it...for some reason... but i'm not sure how accurate it is.

With ip banning, the reason that it might not be a good idea is if they I ban someone then the ip on their device changes, not only are they not banned anymore, but also, if someone else gets the ip they had then they would be banned from the server.

As a console player, a lot of PC players fight very similarly to a hacker so I can't even tell at this point (ex. Reach, fast bridging, faster cps, etc.)
I literally had this playing Treasure Wars. I encountered this player who had insane reach and he hit so fast I couldn’t get near him. He hit me once and I got sent into the air and couldn’t get near him. He was level 100 and I assumed was PC, (I am controller). He was also very toxic and chatted stuff to everyone he killed, including me who plays Treasure Wars regularly and has gotten good at it as of recent.
Basically I assumed he was a hacker just because hackers tend to be very toxic like that, but honestly I couldn’t tell if my accusation was true or he was just a really good PC player with a toxic personality.

Blessed memory of mine: a speed hacker who wasnt exactly a pro at the client speed hacker themself, got out of control, fell off the edge and either crashed out, Perma died of ragequit.
No wonder why I felt like some people I played against in Treasure Wars seemed to have Kill aura... but I just dismissed it to me being laggy. Now realizing this makes me know I’m not as trash at pvp as I thought I was.
Is there a reporting system for Hive? I know there's a new one on Cubecraft (/sr) but I have no idea if it works because I've only seen one hacker on there and I never saw them again. If not they should consider adding it.

To the Hive Moderation part of this video. IP banning can be effective for some circumstances, but for others it dosent cut it. IP's can change daily either by government involvement, manually changing the IP, or by using a VPN (Virtual Private Network). One way of combating this (I don't know if it is possible) is SBanning or PBanning. Software Banning is a recognition system that will look at similar values, be it screen size, model number, IMEI number, or SN. Personalized Banning is very similar it just looks for multiple accounts, login/log out dates, and in AI use play style. Both of those are iffy ideas, and would take a lot of work, but to my understanding they would work. They may also be intrusive to a degree. Though that's for you guys to decide.
I find so many hackers and teamers in treasure wars so I mainly play on cubecraft now, hoping they fix it soon because I really like the games they have.
Tried out bedrock again after switching to Java 2 years ago first game of Hive skywars i go against a hacker rushing me with reach while im still getting used to the bridging mechanic again.
In sky royals there is a skull head on top of the special chest which will ban people if we step on it
The problem with the Ingame report system if it comes out some saulty, angry players that lose a battle might report the winner of the battle and then the winner might get banned when not even cheating
they can still add device bans with regular bans so that specific device is banned and their account is banned

I have never encountered a hacker until recently this month. There is at least one every 10 games now which is crazy.
hive should add one of those programs where you can watch back on games (with similar mechanics to the replay thing) where people report other players. people would vote on whether they think the player is hacking, and mods could come up with a system to make final judgements or just use it as a time saver. the game wouldnt show the potential hackers name to avoid clipping, and honestly i think it'd be a really cool thing to add. it doesn't work as well as ip banning ofc, but it could be a way to demote hacking as a whole.

I'm fine with the "low-level" hackers who created an account just to cheat. I'm not fine with the level 50-100 TW/SW hackers who use reach and autoclickers and still don't get banned.
In hide if you are a seeker 2mins you gets something that gives you a little bit avantage but you can place it for like 1 second and you can fly with it and you get kicked by the anticheat at somepoint

i think one of the issues i have with hive and hacking is that they constantly try to brush of responsibility by saying the same drivel over and over about how theyre constantly working on the anticheat, and to be patient.
