- I've been putting off a review of The Hive Bedrock Server for a while now, since I always figured I would end up being too biased in it. You all really seemed to want it, however, so I challenged myself to do it and attempt to unbiased as possible. I played on the server with my friend Holden, a new player, to get a perspective from someone who hasn't played for the past 8 months straight. We tried out games like Survival Games, Skywars, Treasure Wars, and explored more of the server to try and review the server as well as possible.

This video was my attempt at reviewing The Hive as I would any other server. Yes, I am aware that I play on the hive a lot, and that I'm called a Hive shill/simp. Seriously, go in on this one. How did I do with this video? Is there anything you think I missed/didn't cover fairly?

Honestly I really like hive because of their original custom models (costumes, spawn vehicles, etc) it's super unique.

Me and my friends a while back were talking about this topic in game, we agreed on that the only reason that we play on Hive is because it has everything the other servers lack; which is quality. But then again that doesn’t make the server perfect as it also lacks quantity which most other servers have. Galaxite seemed promising but it doesn’t look like it will dethrone Hive anytime soon.

on skywars, for new players, i think they should make it come up on your screen saying something like: Mine ores to gain more loot. and for all of the games just i feel like skill based matchmaking should be added. making you against people who are similar places to you on the leaderboard.

The Steve glitch I think actually happens more when you use a texture pack but I’m not 100% sure
I has never happened to me I even have a 198 day login streak

Cubecraft had the Steve glitch too. They disabled custom skins on the server (those skins that you make yourself) and the Steve glitch hasn’t happened since.
You should do one for NetherGames, it has changed in a really good way.

You should make a vid about how the hive should add shears to treasure wars, anvils to sky wars, and enchants to treasure wars. I think it would make the game very fun, and the way to get an anvil would be by breaking an emerald ore. It would only have a 5% spawn rate though, because it would get too over powered and it would break after its first use. Also, shears to treasure wars would be great because getting treasure would be SO much easier and it would cause people to actually out a defense on their bed not just some wool. The shears though would cost 2 diamonds. Lastly I think that enchants to treasure wars would be awesome. But, they should add creative enchants, like knockback 1 for 5 emeralds and flame 1 for 3 emeralds. Then if the community likes those (and maybe a few more) they should add the regular ones like protection and sharpness.

I would play hive if it weren't for three things:
1: overpopulation of pc players
2: the kb isnt my style at all
3: im so framy on the hive

Nintendo doesn't do the pink glitch it's more rare and I only have 5 screen shots of the time I've had the pink glitch and I've had a Nintendo switch for 2 years

About the glitches- they are not just for the hive. I see them in other servers too, the Pink disease, as my siblings and I like to call it, spreads between servers. It spreads fast. The Steve glitch however, is for Mojang itself. It happens all the time. It makes my sister burst out crying because she can't wear her "cool" teen skins. The Hive has no lag at all most of the time, the glitches you mentioned are for all servers.

My one problem with hive pvp is that it’s really hard for me at least to master because there aren’t really any good ways to practice it. It’s also annoying that I can’t seem to go 3 games without running into a super good max level player who just destroys me in every fight. Overall I enjoy the pvp, I just wish there was a game mode like duels where you could practice with hive’s unique knockback system
That's an amazing idea. Duels sound awesome. Maybe it could even be a feature added with Swarms
There are pvp practice servers like versai in which you can practice duels

Reasons why Hive Skywars sucks:
•Lucky ore is only lucky sometimes
•Fire sword
•Protection 1 armor
•etc
Prot 1 is nerfed so no longer it makes you invincible fire sword will get fix soon bcuz of potatopie25 the magical wizard why would you mine lucky Ore only noobs mine it untill and unless you need gapples
the fire wood sword got replaced by a gold sword that has a 1/4 chance to light ppl on fire

i think the main reason i haven't played much hive because both times i played pvp (the only type of gamesi like) i had bad experiences survival games and skywars going against sweat now that i feel like ive improved i think i might revisit it i hope that itll be more fun than when i first started playing the knockback system looks like what i like in kb modifications (also pink glitch works on any mode of minecraft bedrock survival included i think it got fixed this bug fix update) it seems fun ill play it tomorrow with my friend thanks for the video have a good whatever time it is lol

The pink glitch *does* occur in regular, single player/multiplayer worlds. It happened to me and my friend many times. I'm pretty sure it isn't primarily a hive bug and more of a Bedrock bug, as it does most likely happen in other featured servers.
Hive does have a really good pvp system but but kb is ok just some people are frogs who take lots of kb and some ar rocks who take no kb

The pink glitch is basically the feature they added on 1.16.100 the render dragon causes the pink glitch. This happened to xbox players as well.

In my personal experience the pink glitch is quite rare. I see it once a day.
Not even mentioning custom servers, me and my mates host events on them every week, they are fantastic

pink glitch I've gotten on cubecraft a bunch so thats probably a glitch in minecraft but steve glitch seems like it doesn't happen on cube anymore, last time I remember seeing it was probably around early November but before then it happened a lot

I mainly play Mineplex so I can’t complain to much about Hive knockback, but, in my opinion it’s a little harder to learn and if you don’t know how to time your hits combos can be really cps based which I don’t like, especially since I play on controller. Also, w-tapping doesn’t really work on hive which can be annoying if you w-tap a lot. And the Steve glitch and pink glitch doesn’t happen to me as much, but it does happen on Mineplex aswell.
Edit: Steve glitch could happen more based on how many 3D models there are, I’d think that because of how much more 3D models there are on Hive vs Mineplex and how often it happens on each server

There is one glitch that I have a lot of times is that the map does not show up on SG and I don’t see blocks that I place down in Skywars
I love the snowball system cuz its basically a equalizer as a controller player myself I get to equalize a fight of me and a pc player but it also has its bad ways but overall it’s good

Just a quick little answer for the Neil Pink glitch it’s more of a hive glitch because I’ve never had it happen in a. Multiplayer or single player game
For the Steve skin glitch and the pink glitch, I have encountered it in mineplex as well.
How exactly do you do that style of jumpbridge? I've been practising it for quite a while but I can't get it nearly as consistent. I can do maybe 50 blocks max; am I using too low FOV, or is it just purely something you get better with by practice?
it just takes a lot of practice

The steve glitch happens to me EVERY SINGLE time I join a game which is terrible but I use a texture pack with custom steves so it's not that bad

am originally a CubeCraft player and what i like abt HIVE is that most players are good, you get stacks of blocks on Skywars and you can change regions :)

As a minecraft bedrock player who used to play in the hive all I would say is to change the nockback like nether games or hypixel while I dont play on java but these are some examples I want the hive to have especially since it's a featured server on bedrock

Also, if you play on mobile like me, there's really no way to reset minecraft. Either you can swipe your tabs and reload it, but sometimes that doesn't work. Then, you have to delete the app and re-download it, and then it deletes all of your worlds

I play on switch and your able to make your own custom skin from the editor mojang gives you. But when ever I go on Hive it just makes me a steve with a yellow shirt. I don't know why this happens does anyone have an idea?
It took me a while to get good enough to compete when I first started and I faced a lot of sweats so maybe they can make a fair matchmaking system.
My first plays: I prolly played Hide and Seek third and first as a non pvp game because I found it fun.

I loaded into skywars today and there was a 900ft tall Steve in my island
For SG I think they should add some sort of border as the game progresses even though I know borders dont work on bedrock they might find a different solution to this
