One additional bennefit that you didn't mention with murkrow is that it can't get taunted by Torn. Its definietly still worse than Torn but it does have a nieche between being a dark type and having haze

As the self-proclaimed #1 Illumise and Volbeat enthusiast, you forget one thing. Volbeat has taunt, while Illumise doesn’t get it. And, more importantly, the best strategy ever invented, tail glow + baton pass
actually there’s two advantages to running Dusknoir over Dusclops
- you can do literally any amount of damage and not be as significant Taunt bait
- style points (objectively cooler Mon)
Arbok is S tier in my heart. Can break screens, can coil, can self sustain with leech life, can gunk shot, can poison jab, can scale shot, can intimidate, can dragon tail, can glare ground types, it does everything and has just enough stats to be either offensive or defensive and no more. It needs a lot of help to run a full offense set but it’s shockingly strong as a bulky offense mon with Tera psychic psychic fangs, leech life, glare, and either a poison stab or dragon tail. Intimidate ofc.
It's so fun watching Marcos ranking these based on the first Reg E regional and watching many C tier Pokemon doing well in Sacramento (feat. Azumarill and Tyranitar). Can't wait to see these pick up in usage

I believe the Lake Trio also gets Expanding Force, though Levitate does indeed prevent them from benefitting as much.
Wait, the get expanding force but their only ability prevents them form actually abusing it? XD
@@brucepotter8817 From abusing it fully. Psychic Terrain still turns Expanding Force into the 120 BP spread move, but because of Levitate they don't get the additional 1.3x multiplier to their Psychic-type attacks.
At least, that's my understanding.
No it actually stays a single target move, I found this out the hard way when trying to use it in a draft league expecting the regular expanding force 😭

Truly, one of the most consistent Pokemon of all time.
Good stat distribution, offensive and support movepool, and typing for both offense and defense. Steel/dragon, steel/rock, ground/rock are the only type combos that resist its STABs and heat wave covers the first two for neutral.

I’m generally happy with what we got in part 1 and the home transfer also nice but ogerpon just thwomps everything who was the guy who balanced it cause that dev either doesn’t play competitive or just wants to see it burn. Like 20% dmg boost, terra fire for stab, mold breaker on fire mask so no flash fire(depending on when you terra) a 100 base power 100 accuracy move no drawbacks, and a free stat boost on terra or switch in if terra active
Also Arbok and Aridos should’ve gotten a new form or an evolution theyre neat guys but very lacking, that and crawduant it has the possibility for a new form cause I think it’s hoenn dex mentions corphish came to hoenn on ships kinda like zigzagoon so we could see a different version.

ive been using kanto moltres recently as an annoyance to physical mons with flame body and wisp along with being a tailwind setter thats naturally strong with its spatk stat, maybe it is cooking but im enjoying the team i put it on with empoleon and pledge move shenanigans and i just managed to get it to master ball tier after a hiatus from ingame laddering today.

Question! How does the Ability Shield works with Neutralizing Gas? I know that Ability Shield cancels Mold Breaker and allow Heatran to counter Pre-Tera Ogerpon-Fire, but does it shield you from Weezing?

I think stanlers okay, you can run a evoilite set, plus it can also be used as a trickroom set with imitimadate.

Unironically think munkidori is good. Surpisingly bulky, a great assault vest user, access to fake out u-turn (which is great with toxic chain) and deals a lot of damage with sludge wave (excluding tera poison). Also counters other poison types

I made a fun gimmicky team with Flamigo. It's enough to take people by surprise. It's also got MausApe in the team so people prep for that thinking that's my strat, but that's only one mode for the team.
I used to run a ters fairy azumarill with huge power, nevey melt ice, belly drum, ice spinner, play rough, and liquidation, and the amount of times ive been able to set t room and sweep is crazy

I've been having great success with defensive Empoleon with tera ground and shuca berry. It absolutely shits on Lando and many other physical mons.

Glimmora is definitely B tier. That and Rillaboom basically single handedly got me to master ball this month.
I think Weezing's neutralizing gas gets so less credit that it deserves
It disables Unseen Fist so you can protect againts Urshifu. Specially useful as Weezing can use Will o Wisp on it ar attack with Strange steam (which does around 50-75% on Urshifu)
It didables Prankster so sometimes you can KO a Prankster Pokémon before they act
It disables all priority blockers like Farigiraf and Indeedee
Torkoal doesn"t get the drought so it hits less hard and Lili+Coal is useless, A-Ninetales doesn't get the snow so it can't put the aurora veil nor gets the deffense boost, disables grassy terrain which also disables grassy surge... it just stops a lot of strategies

How about No ? AV is the "no-brainer" set that can fit on every team, sure. But in some circumstances, you might actually want other sets. In TR teams, booster energy can make a lot of sense. Also, sword dance shouldn't be underestimated, it can punish teams playing too defensively. Don't sleep on other sets.
(And, yeah, I'm too traumatized by Spore to consider tera-grass a bad option. If you're not a grass type to begin with nor have an ability to protect you from Spore ; then tera-grass is a valid option XD)

Yes, but taking 2 turns to set up a mon at the cost of having to run volbeat isn't worth it and the main reason it's not seen.
I'd actually say Rapid Ursh has fallen off a bit, mainly due to Sinistcha and Ogerpon, probably wouldn't say it's still S, probably low A - Mid B

A calm & most obvious way to cope with early gen filler mons like Illumise is that they should & may get new evolutions to save them eventually once it crosses GF's mind that they're bit pointless & don't serve much in battle.
Gen 1 pokemon should get a BST rework next gen
