I'll give you a thumbs up for demonstrating that energy sucking task. I'm 56 and feel the same way. I'm not spending that kind of money on a hammer though. I'll try an old bumper jack to slide the bead.
Everybody has their own favorite potion of soap or whatever, but wet the tire sidewall with something so that the hammer and bead don't have to fight against steel-on-dry-rubber friction.
Thanks for the demo 👍
Thanks for this useful video! Got three I’ll be tackling this week
I do these tires for a living everyday and have been for 17 years. This will work but not the way I would do it.
I just bought a 59 chevy viking 60 looks like the same type split ring wheels

Not an easy job. Please don't have a heart attack. Pace yourself.
lol. Yes not easy but not hard either...just hard to breathe...lmao

Nice job, Bill! Are you going to mount fresh NDTs, or are you going with a different tire?
I want to mount the G177 12.00R-20 but just don't have the cash as of now.
@@justamanandhisdeuceandahal5399 will the 12s work as dual rears, or only as singles? I know there is concern about space between the dual tires.
@@mattcarroll5603 I want to keep duals...otherwise I will go with the 395R 20's
@@mattcarroll5603 12s will only work with duals with the MRAP wheels
I heard 11r20 is biggest you can go with duals?@@hummerguy
