I'm from Swansea and started following Celtic in 1970 when I was 15 purely because of the kit and more importantly because of Jinky. Went to my first Celtic game from Swansea on 28/4/1973. 8 in a row. Jinky was brilliant. Whatca player he was.

As a wee boy I used to go to paradise with my da and I always found my way down to the front , Just so I could tell my pals at school that I had been close to Jinky, Probably one of the best footballers the world has ever seen
Along with Larsson he's the best Celtic player I've seen. I attended his joint testimonial with Bobby Lennox against their English friends at that time, Manchester United. RIP Jimmy from this Man United supporter!!!

Our younger supporters remember Henrik & rightly so but the number 7 belongs to this little genius he could make the biggest look stupid & the smallest stand tall I will never forget the European Cup semi-final 1st leg tie against the animals of athletco Madrid when the tried halfing him in 2 he got up dusted himself down & went at them again & again he must be 1 of few away players to get a standing ovation from 120,000 supporters in a away game in Di Stefanos testimonial game a cpl of weeks after we won. the European Cup What a player just what a player RIP Jinky greatest ever celt
It’s easy for a lifelong Celtic Supporter to wax lyrical about Jinky but when a man like Alex Ferguson had that much respect for him and him being both an Ex Rangers man and having achieved what he has signing the players he has you must have been something special.
