    Honestly, when you fired up that batman pinball table that whole thing came to life - I would love to own one of these and easily could afford to but just don't think it would get the use it deserved for the space it would take up :( I have a smaller 2 player upright which still has Ultimarc RGB throughout / trackball / spinner / LCD marquee etc but it's not an 'event' like yours :) . Really wonderful machine you have.

    Wow you went all out on that build, LCD on top, and streamdeck, etc.
    Would love to see some details on how to set up everything, if much of it was "packaged" or you had to individually craft every game to accommodate the setup.
    I am debating getting a kit from GRS, or someone cheaper or just full DIY. If I go with GRS and spend so much I think I might go for the 4 player cab like you have to get the most return for my investment.
    Gotta say, by far the best cab I have seen for a multi-arcade.
    I don't even know where to start to accomplish all of this, the metadata for 4way vs 2way, the Text to Speech for the games, knowing what buttons are used, flashing the LED's I have never seen a lot of this.

    I've heard that Game Room Solutions are difficult to deal with. And the quality is not that good but it looks great. With the prices of other makers cabs can get very expensive. I was just looking a GRS's website today, especially their Fully Built Units. Am I correct in saying you purchased just the cabinet from them and you purchased the other components separate? Do you have a list of the components (buttons, trackball, joysticks, interfaces) that you purchased and from where? Thank you.

    • @tekkamanblade2244
      @tekkamanblade2244  Před 6 měsíci +2

      I would personally stay away from their fully built units. I bought the cabinet from them, and everything else was separate. Buttons were bought from ultimarc (list in the description), PC from Xidax, and everything else from Amazon.

    I am a newbie to this, this is the best I have seen after Daniel's built.. very good job.... I love the LED buttons, but it seems that they are out of stock from ultimarc. One question for you, what built are you using? and do you have to configure the button lights(what button lights up) for each game or they are automatically configured from the build. Thanks

    • @tekkamanblade2244
      @tekkamanblade2244  Před rokem

      LedBlinky configures all MAME games. Every other console or game has to be manually if I'm not mistaking. For the arcade I used a flat pack from Game Room Solutions.

  • @japes223
    @japes223 Před rokem +1

    Great build! Everything looks great on your cab. Quick question for you.... how are you able to get BOTH LEDBlinky AND Hyper Marquee working together? All of the tutorials I've found online require "tricking" Hyperspin into thinking that EDS (for Hypermarquee) is LEDBlinky, by literally renaming it "LEDBlinky". This obviously messes things up since you can no longer point to the real LED Blinky in Hyperspin. I'm totally stumped on this. Would love to know how you got it working. Thank you in advance!

If you notice later im the video when I demonstrate the servo sticks there is only a desktop background showing in the cp. Awesome man! Exactly what I was looking for. I’ve already reached out to GRS about this cabinet and noticed that the quality in customer service has gone down quite a bit. I’ve purchased from them previously and it was a much better experience then. Now they’re noticeably rude and less professional.
    Did GRS not offer cutting the stream deck cutout on the control panel? I saw an option for it but don’t know where it would go.

    • @tekkamanblade2244
      @tekkamanblade2244  Před 2 lety

      There wasn’t an option for it back when I ordered. They didn’t seem interested in the idea and said they would have to buy cupholders to find out the size of the hole they would need to make. Plus it was $80 PER alteration according to her. The lady didn’t even know what a stream deck was and that’s when I stopped asking.

    • @IAmWarN
      @IAmWarN Před 2 lety +1

      @@tekkamanblade2244 😀- $80 is still a grip for EACH individual change, but I can see why they would charge that since they're not offering a FULLY customizable service for each enthusiast. But I'm shocked about the quality in the alignment issue on the control panel; 🤦‍♂🤷‍♂

A black sharpie or a testors black paint pen will take care of those chipped areas no problem. I’m not 100%, but if you got that marquee from EHA David is using a different/better product than vitrolight. Vitrolights usually come decased and have external power supplies and the screen quality was way less, at least the old ones I used to buy were…yours looks like the nicer ones that come finished with internal power supplies. Vendor ID is M-Star in windows? Hit me up if you wanna talk LEDs! Good luck on the vpin I’m about to build my second and upgrade from HD to 4k.

There are games like Killer Instinct that just can't be played with that setup, so I need to upgrade. It's funny how almost EVERYONE who reviews Game Room Solutions has some story about the lady (Tina, I believe) being rude or acting hysterical along with a litany of customer service issues. Apparently the husband/owner can get real mean too if you get on her bad side (which is apparently super easy and pretty much only requires basic interaction with her). I was gonna buy a kit from them but really don't want to deal with a couple of psychopaths.
    Update: Within an hour I found that Game Room Solutions has an F rating per the Better Business Bureau. Yup, I definitely won't be ordering from them.

      @travisfury4885 Před 2 lety +2

      I've had a great experience with GRS. Nobody came off as rude to me. Situational I guess.
      The humming from your home screen has nothing to do with their Cab. You built it. GRS does not ship fully assembled machines. That's on you. You fucked something up.
      This isn't an out of the box plug and play kind of thing. You have to have realistic expectations. If you want out of the box playability buy an Arcade One system and be even more disappointed with laughably shit design and garbage components.
      EHA is extremely over priced for what you get. I guess if you want an out of the box overpriced solution then sure. A fool and their money.
      I built my 4 player cab via GRS that will destroy any EHA system for half of what they charge and the quality is spot on.
