Dream machine, thanks for the inside tour, brings back so many memories of building out cabs, unfortunately I had to sell mine off, but still have a 40" monitor and Street Fight 2 15th Anniversary Arcade Stick I can use so still enjoying my games and CoinOps etc...
Adam, have you ever thought of wiring just the single flipper solinoid accessory kit from phil at Cleveland software for your pinball buttons? I have a vpin fully loaded but what's great about the flipper only solinoid package he sells is you don't need dof, or anything like that, the solinoids just fire when you press the pinball flipper buttons. Most flipper buttons connects to other buttons on your control panel.
With the flipper solinoids , you just connect them between the pinball flipper buttons and the other buttons they connect to, or if it's connected by itself to an ipac , you still can just install it and doesn't matter what pinball game you play, when you press that flipper button you get that nice flipper solinoid sound.
I figured if anyone was as crazy as me it was you, if you already don't have rhe solinoids hooked up.
I really would love to hook up the silver strike , golden tee etc setup. Any chance you can share how it's done or who I can hire to have it installed for me lol . I'm in the NYC area.
Ha! I ordered phil’s solenoid kit (x4) a few months ago but havent had a chance to install. Check out vic_vp on yt for a local installer perhaps?
@ArcadeAdam vic can't install the golden tee and silver strike setup. Lol I have a fully built vpin I built using all Phil's equipment, well most.of it and built my vpin from.scratch, has everything I need. I was just wondering , I've never heard of any modder add solinoids to flippers on a stand up arcade. I can build eveything myself, but I don't know know where to get what you need to hook up silver strike etc. That I would need someone to do for me. Vic doesn't have that type of stuff .
Adam you are great man to do all that and have 3 computer in your arcade machine is a beast. I would love to do all the stuff you did but have basic knowledge on everything you did to your machine it would take me along time to do. bless you for all your work and showing your beast machine. this is a big motivation AMAZING JOB!!!!!!!

Good morning. I watched your DOF and DOFLINX in MAME video. I build my vpin last fall and am very familiar with dof and doflinx. After seeing your arcade cab argb and matrix, I have to add this to my arcade. Please help. I have been searching the web and cannot not find any instructions on doing this. The only thing I found was the mame version configured for doflinx, but no instructions. If this is like the vpin there are is script and cab files needed. I have all of the parts to do this right now. Teensy, psu, argb strip and matrix. Thank you.

Can you share your DOFLinx INI? I have mame running and triggering in my vpin. I have an issue that the manufacturer name does not go away. I think it's in my INI. Thanks.

I’ve been going through all your videos after getting hooked on your dual racing cabinets series. Awesome machine and wholly wires and pc’s. Do you think, with a powerful enough pc, I could run a mulicade like this and my racing cabinet? I’d do a dual screen setup from the same pc in my multicade to my being “built now” racing cabinet. I’d upgrade my graphics card to a 3080?
it will be more than powerful but the software setup would be difficult serving two purposes and assumingly multiple controllers.. Much better to get a second cheaper PC in my opinion

Where do you get the active matrix at the top of the cab? I cant seem to find one. I am doing a 48" oled as well
Its a pixelcade, they have pre-packaged versions or you can get the board and just buy your own p2/p3/p4/p5 panels depending on the size you want. Mine is two p5 panels
Does anyone know how to just get the software with all the games like that? Ain’t nobody download the games Individually. There has to be a huge file to just download.

How challenging is that nighthawk set up?
It’s your typical modern arcade pc, normal computer, IO board, usb CID, security chip on the IO board has to match CID, wire buttons to IO board, have fun. Magic switcher complicates it by supporting 3 additional games but think of it as a custom 4-port KVM for the PC internals. Single game setup on a nighthawk is very simple.
Do you build systems for people?
Home ARCADE will they put the night hawk on the arcade. if you buy it from the dealer home arcades. TY Gary H 👍
David at extreme home arcades is all about customization, I havent heard of him doing that in the community but I would definitely ask! He swaps out various parts like nicer TVs and higher spec computers all the time.

The RGB lights are cheap, about $40 per strip, I needed 3, plus RGB matrix was about $80, RGB rings were $30, and the controller was $35 or so. Probably another $100 in bezel mask, light strip holders, wire management, 3d printer stuff for the control box, etc...

what the hell is Nighthawk? Aren't these games available in MAME?
nighthawk is the codename given to the PC that runs Golden Tee games and no, MAME only supports Golden Tee 2006 or less, for newer stuff you need dedicated hardware.

I had no idea you could get access to so many games and that there was such cool software like launch box. It turn out extreme arcade is located 1/2 hour drive south of me. I would like to build my own Maxine though.

I like it, it's a beautiful cabinet but I dont it's worth the money. I have one similar and I didnt pay alot for mine. You paying for the lights and the design. That bad boy is well over $5,000.
