I LOVE that you brought up the fact you need to have chemistry and attraction to someone, it's either there or its not. I've dated some really great people that by all accounts on paper we shouldv'e worked but it lacked that extra thing that sets it apart from the real deal. I've had people make me feel terrible for not forcing it to work because what are my chances of finding someone that is all those great kind qualities AND I want to kiss them for the long haul.

I would like some advice although I’m a guy? Is there a way I can try to ease my woman’s emotions. I messaged my woman and then she told me to stay away from her and she would bite my throat off but then after we texted for around 15 minutes she ended with telling me she loved me and was happy that I have been thinking about her. Please help any advice would be welcomed. She said she was having a hard day that day but I’d like some insight to how to maybe manager her in the future. Thank You.

I loved this video. I am like you Jillz, I don't believe in dating just to date and as I'm still young and not even looking for a long term relationship and marriage, I've never dated before. I believe that when I'm ready to start looking for him, he will be ready also and i will attract him that way. In the meantime, I'm learning about myself and becoming the woman I want to be, the woman who i feel proud and confident to be, the woman who i want as the mother for my children, the amazing wife of my husband.

contempt -- some people might be shocked that anyone would be so rude towards their partner but ive been in a position where i felt resentment and contempt for my partner. it's not something that happens overnight, and it's not right but it happens. i think some of this can also be prevented if i just had stopped thinking of my partner's potential and just accepted them the way that they were and the current position they were in life. had i been honest with myself and asked myself, "am i okay being the bread winner, having my partner be much more of an outgoing person than me, be willing to split whatever time we have together with his friends? if so, then keep being with this person and dont put this against him!! if not, leave."
in the end, both parties have gotta be equally attracted together. one person shouldnt like the other more than the other unless you wanna risk some sort of imbalance of "power" in the relationship. /sigh. relationships are difficult and more and more people are realizing that being lonely isnt a good enough excuse to be with someone (eg me LOL). good luck yall.

Well said. This is why we shouldn’t choose a partner for the their “potential” because it ends up in resentment and hurt. If the partner doesn’t fulfill their potential, we become resentful and hold the partner in contempt because we now view that partner as a loser. On the flip side, when the partner fulfills their potential, they’re more than likely to leave for someone that’s more in their new lane. We need to choose our partner by where they are NOW, and if it bothers us, we don’t waste either our time or their time and move along.

This video was full of hard pills to swallow, especially when you talked about how dating just to date was a waste of energy… I just broke up with my first boyfriend a few weeks ago and I didn’t realize at the beginning why he was so serious about dating me. I was looking at it as more of a dating just to date thing, but even as time went on and I became more serious about him I still had to realize that it wouldn’t work because my parents are religious and wouldn’t approve of him. It broke my heart and I kept trying to justify dating him without long term intention because I felt I deserved love, but it would be a waste of time in the end. It’s been a rough few weeks but hearing you say the same thing I was thinking helped. Thank you Jillz, love your videos 💗

I usually love your videos, and I mean no offence but the point on masc/fem completely ignores LGBTQ relationships. Btw I am not in that spectrum and am heterosexual.

there appears to be a bit of trying to impress your beliefs on people. dating just to date is dumb. dumb is a dangerous controlling term.
Of course my videos will naturally include my beliefs. But I think people should do whatever they want with that info!
If you want negative consequences, go with dating just to date. It won't land you anywhere happy. To me, wanting that result is dumb.
My advice for women is pursue men and be their provider. Men did both since the dawn of time. It's women's turn.
