Everyone knows that Google and Apple keep logs of everything. It's one of the ways you get flagged for anything. And also everyone knows that all of those devices have turned on mics all the time. For example one of the reasons Huawei was banned in the US is exactly that, among more complicated reasons. It's like a public secret now. Every. Single. Device. There are a few ways to workaround this like custom ROMs and a few other ways... But that's for us with brains to figure out. The rest I have no problem with being espionaged every second of their lives. And audio recording is not the only thing they do. People said we're gonna be chipped and RFID chips are going to become the norm, and then those same idiots carry iPhones and Androids everywhere they go without giving it a second thought. It's brilliant.
This was a great script for an otherwise classic plot. He gets an A for scripting it which, in my opinion, as a performer rather than a fooler.. is everything to an audience. I like the Siri patter.
Every magician has stage fright before the show. You never know what kind of spectators you have and how you manage every single move you must do etc. And that’s also is what makes every show so glamorous and you want to feel that again and again.
@@kineticsvevo5779 No, it was a false shuffle. It's almost like cutting a deck multiple times. You don't change the order; you just change the position of them. This stacked deck by Si Stebbins is very risky, however. You have to do a lot of work to set it back up.
Easy trick, as soon as you realize that the pack is not mixed as he clearly do not randomly mix but count the moved cards (so many up, so many down, so many up, etc, then false counted cut as well), so that he controls the starting configuration of the deck before selection occurs. Then this controlled deck is just arranged in the way that the trick will always work whatever the selection is. It's a Maths trick: chosen card + "color"(5) = color of the chosen card, chosen + 5 + "number"(6) = number of the chosen card, then etc with "hearts"(6) (or "spades"(6) ) and "match"(5). Interesting though, and well presented
It's called CHaSeD order: Clubs, Hearts, Spades, Diamonds. Chosen card + 5 burns (spelling color) and a flip, the flip will always be the same color (because it's an even number away), but the opposite suit. Go 7 cards past that (spelling number then flip), you've now gone 13 cards, a full suit past your starting point. If you position 12 cards between each like-numbered card (i.e. 7 of Hearts, 12 cards, then 7 of Spades), then you will get the same value, but the opposite color. 7 more cards (spell "hearts" or "spades" + flip), and you've gone 20 cards. 20 is a multiple of 4, so you will land on a card of the same suit. 6 left ("match" + flip) and we've gone 26 cards in, half the deck, where you will have placed the card of the same value and color, but the opposite suit. I've seen a more simplified version of this trick that doesn't offer the "match" part. He added an extra element, but it uses the exact same ideas already presented in the trick. There was no way in hell this would've fooled Penn & Teller; I'm amazed he even tried it on their show.
thats exactly what I was thinking of too. Seemed to be just an arrangement of cards since he never showed "us" the composition of the card deck. He tried to hide it. That seemed very unusual and made me suspicious. Seems quite easy. More on the level of an amateur.
This right here is not just any simple trick. Si Stebbins is easily one of the most beautiful implementations of math into card magic. This is the core of literal thousands modern tricks and, honestly, it requires a truly skilled hand to make it look as clean as he did right here.
Myst yes she can tell the weather, traffic and set a reminder. Haven't tried her for translations because once again, google translate is far better at translating both speech and text through the camera. Google assistant is just so good at answering random questions that I might normally type into Google at times that I'm busy or it's not convenient to type/read. Like if I want to know how old is the oldest koi fish that ever lived (random, I know) Siri gives me links where I may or may not find the answer, while google is like "The oldest koi fish in the world was reported to be 226 years old" without missing a beat.

Yeah. There's something about Teller that brings out the maternal instincts in us women. He's so sweet and adorable, like a puppy. On that Matt Lauer morning talk show, some female host was rubbing Teller's back while he "slept" on her for the "3 of clubs contact lenses" trick

Apple is getting really creative with their advertising these days.
Funny bc true
and really annoying
It really shows how much magical apple is, how its actually all fake lies and full of deceit and misdirection.
Mac MashPotato i guess it’s just that fun to be lied to

This trick made teller talks. Nothing more impressive ❤️
Wow. Very weak trick, but the humour around it was gorgeous. The "Siri, did we fool them?" was absolutely lovely 😁
Host so old
This trick is also over 10 years old
agreed
Teller talks on Big Bang Theory !
He talks like he's giving a tech speech. Lol
Talks like a robot
Those teeth hardly separate when he talks and when they do soeerate they clash back together like two magnets
And like his jaw is wired shut....?
I like how he keeps the show going even while admitting defeat! A true performer. Amazing!

The real trick hear is that he got teller to talk on the show.

Wow much respect for designing such a beautiful trick, and for performing it with a wired jaw. A true professional.

@@g0t2 I like how Penn and teller flipped the script on him by brazenly calling out his deck stacking.
Savagery
Did he really had his jaw wire? I thought it resemble the Siri voice..
THE SECOND HE PICKED PENN'S CARD FOR HIM, WE ALL KNEW THAT IT'S MATHS. NOT A TRICK. BUT STILL WELL DONE!
i knew that by the way he shuffled before that.
@@agagagagagyo Exactly. He had no desire to fool them. He just wanted to have a good time. It was fun though.
It is a trick tho
Well, the trick was maths, but yeah
Trish as soon as he spelled C O L O R I knew what he was doing cause it was in scam school
Yea, it makes sense, that Siri would be developed by a robot...
Like how Ultron created vision 😏
Everybody was so disappointed when he pulled out that deck of cards
What did you expect him to pull out - 52 IPhones? Lol
I heard the audience laugh. Where were you?
I feel like I just watched an ad for Siri.
Holy shit was he nervous - you can see his hands shaking many times but well done.
he isn't a pro magician, so been in a stage is not easy for him. some people don't like to be under the spotlight
There's a clip where Jesse Eisleberg did a quick trick on stage with P&T, he was shaking really noticeably too. It was kinda endearing

Teller did a terrible impression of Siri. He actually understood what Penn questioned! 😹😹

Lol when he said Siri can answer questions 😂 all Siri does is bring up links. "here's what I found on the web"
