For reasons not all in his control, Patrick Mahomes is now the biggest villain in the NFL. How could we have gotten here for a man so well-liked before the Kansas City Chiefs became the dynasty of their era?

Kd complaining about the chiefs being too good as if he didn’t leave okc for a 73-9 record setting powerhouse
Don't ever worry about what KD thinks. Remember he created a burner account to argue with 12 year olds and defend himself. He's a great basketball player, and seems to be a good person. Just not a competitive person, nor does he appreciate the journey. Just wants instant gratification.
I love how everyone hates KD for that, but Lebron forming his own superteams to carry him to championships he couldn't lead the Cavs to on his own that's totally fine. 🙄
@murrethmedia I trashed KD, that was the topic. If you like, I'd be happy to trash LeBron as well. Lol
Good. no one likes LeFraud.@@chrisoneill4865
@@murrethmediaI'm not big into basketball, but to me, Lebron was making his own team at least. KD just rode other great players and team to his championships
The Chiefs are simultaneously embracing their new roles as villain and flagship.
Lol Chargers, no ring.
HUGE Chiefs fan here. One thing I've noticed about society in general and human nature is that a lot of people tend to pull for the "bad guys". I must admit that's one of the things that draws me to the Chiefs. Word is they're the most hated team in the NFL right now. Well then I guess I chose the right team to support. 🙂
Said it in the video, they have become the Patriots of this era
It’s just like when Steph Curry started winning rings
Or Tom Brady
Yeah but they both started crying about the refs and had a lil attitude start once they started winning. If they were a lil more humble they’d get less hate. And that’s not me saying that the statement I said is facts, but that’s the social media & media portraying that for the fans to get that perspective
mahomes didnt have the best player in the league join his team, which is when the hate started for curry.
@@EverythingIsGuchinot really. that started when they cheated
It’s so funny - I read the video title and this, your first/top comment and I immediately thought of that line from The Dark Knight, and then the video started and it played lol it made me wonder if I’m become omniscient (I did also correctly predict exactly what ended up happening to a T in the Super Bowl last night too - KC winning in overtime at the last second, and I said it wouldn’t be Kelce catching it because that’d be too obvious lol it’s actually freaking me out and making me slightly paranoid to be honest).
I remember being a kid uttering the phrase, "Think God Matt Cassel's starting." I'm enjoying the ride immensely.
BRODIE CROYLE
TYLER THIGPEN

TODD HALEY
BRADY QUINN
@@stephen_cs I don't understand why you list Brodie Croyle here. Who maybe played a handful of games between the time Trent Green was traded and Matt Cassel was picked up from the Pat's. Huard was the main starter for most of that timeframe if memory serves.
Same bro saaaaammme people don't understand what we've been through we deserve this 😅

⚠ Warning ⚠
Doubting the Chiefs has been shown by the state of Missouri to carry the following side effects:
1. Winning seasons by the the Chiefs.
2. Lamar Hunt Trophies returned home.
3. Lombardi Trophies not seen by other NFL teams for years at a time.
4. MVP seasons for Chiefs QB's.
5. Super Bowl Rings given to Chiefs players during "rebuild" years.
See your coach if you experience any of the following: poor performance by other NFL teams, lost games by other AFC West teams, belief in other QB's being better, death of your teams payoff berth, chronic ref blaming and / or bitterness towards Taylor Swift and/or her groupies.
Do not consume alcoholic beverages while doubting the Chiefs. Do not doubt the Chiefs while pregnant or breastfeeding, as this could lead to your child becoming a bitter Raider's or Bengal's fan and / or applying double standards to Mahomes and another "great" quarterback (Lamar, Allen, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Tua, etc.)
Go Chiefs!
Lookin a little Mahomey
I've been a Chiefs fan since I was a kid. I've been through the laughing stock era, I'm cool with being in the villain era.
I get it, I felt the same way about the Pats for years…it’s kinda cool to be on the other side 😂
Same here man idc what haters say it’s all just coping what matters is on the field
im a bengals fan, and I know. we are kinda trash not gonna lie, but imma stick with my bengals lol
@@ManzAchristianyall not even trash bruh yall got 2 top 5 players at they’re position on yo team😭. And honestly as a chiefs fan (been a fan since Matt cassell) I lowkey like the bengals. Expect for chase. He talks too much lol.
@jalen_the_only1390 I love the chiefs but I hate kelce because of him hitting his coach lol
Jamarr do talk alot for having 0 rings tho
Not only has Patrick Mahomes become the villain but Kansas City has become the new team and city to hate much like how Steph Curry and Tom Brady were the villains of their era
also brady fans don’t like mahomes bc he’s the new kid on the block who is challenging the old regime. same as lebron fans hating on curry, and before that it was MJ fans hating on lebron.
And lebron teams
curry was never the vilian matter of fact hes a overrated darling. LeBron was always the vilan, cause lebron was always bigger and it bothers people that darling isnt.
Every football player is literally an enemy to someone’s team and fandom.
The Chiefs are becoming the Roman Reigns of the NFL
Patriots 2000s = John Cena in the 2000s
Patriots 2010s = Brock Lesnar in the 2010s
Chiefs 2020s = Roman Reigns in the 2020s
ACKNOWLEDGE THE CHIEFS!
But they actually show up every week
Top Chiefs hate is definitely because ofJackson and Britney now add Pat Sr with the DUI 😂
People hate when others become too successful
@@chetsenior7253 Oh well. Teams need to be better
Yankees Kobe Lebron Curry Brady were all hated too....
I think people just dislike when one team keeps having so much success and makes superbowl appearances look easy when for most it's AT BEST a once in a lifetime thing. But I'm also a saints fan salty that Mahomes basically got sniped from us so what do I know lol
AGREED!
Especially when its undeserved success
How can you not appreciate the Chiefs’ run this year? They weren’t the favorites going into the playoffs and struggled at times throughout the season. This is like the 2022 Warriors imo
reminds me of 2022 real madrid ucl championship campaign!
We all knew they were gonna win. Refs will not let them lose
@@TheBeggies95 tell me what flag did the refs unintentionally throw in the Super Bowl 58? I’m not a chiefs fan but if you can’t see the greatness in mahomes and the team. You’re just a hater at this point.
ppl are just jealous their team ain’t winning so they hate KC for it.
similarly brady has so many fanboys so they hate mahomes winning bc the more he wins, the more he gets put in the same sentence as brady.
Thank you. Dude, there's teams out there. You can sure as well beat us, and are just as good as us
i honestly would be happy for any other team that isn’t KC Philly or the Rams and sadly that’s all we get in the super bowl the last a million years
That was a great bowl game though, refs called the game pretty fairly. Chiefs were just ready to go into OT, I thought it was weird that the 49ers asked for ball first though.
Apparently some of the players on the 49ers didn't know about how the new overtime rules worked
Shanahan wanted the third possession if they tied on the first two. If they had managed to hold the Chiefs, they would have only needed a field goal to win, but they couldn’t hold them
@@patrickgillespie5506The defense had been doing a pretty good job that game. The only time the Chiefs saw the endzone before that possession was thanks to a special teams miscue so trusting the defense made some sense at the time
@@bigbearkat2010 for sure. Whether it was the right move or not can be debated. But I think the logic is sound

A lot of people hate success, it’s so weird
It’s nice to route for the underdog! I’m not praying on a chiefs downfall- I’m personally praying lions, dolphins, texans, etc fans get a modicum of happiness. It’s good to route for parity and diversity in sports success
People just need to appreciate greatness
Almost like people don’t want to see the same teams win😱
I’m absolutely rooting on the chiefs down fall, if they keep winning my team can’t win.
It's not that complicated. If they're winning all the time, that means the other 31 teams are losing which naturally will turn the fans of the other 31 teams against them.
As a Pats fan I can say that while I would like to see other teams win, I also can't hate the Chiefs for winning. People these days are just to impatient with the NFL.
Ayoo why you gotta call us Bears fans out for celebrating a .500 season LOL
You know your the best when everyone starts hating you 😂; should make Mahomes even more motivated to make the haters hate even more
3 times hate in one sentence. Thats all you got? We dont hate the Pfizer Swift Chiefs and Mahomes entourage, we are just tired of it... Suggestion for you: Improve your NPC "vocabulary", so you can discuss with the grown ups my dear.
Mahomes Has The WORST SB Stats Among The 12 NFL QBs With Multiple SB Appearances....He Also Had to be SAVED by an NFL SB Record "57" Yard FG vs 49ers...Jalen Hurts Literally HANDED Chiefs The SB....Brady & Bucs STOMPED Mahomes & Chiefs in SB...The Hype is Very Disingenuous and Over The Top
@@jackwoods9604 Prime hater right here
@@FoxxyBrown1111 you ARE NOT nice, you a**!
no one hates mahomes people just hate the chiefs franchise and want other players to win and gets chips. we just watched some dude go to 10 SBs and win 7 of them not trying to see similar stuff i haven’t even watched the nfl since that rams bengals super bowl and didn’t even watch that season tbh. came back this season thinking we’d have new victors just to be disappointed by the teams that really should’ve beat the chiefs 10 times over why didn’t they? idk they either haven’t learned or the nfl is rigged one of the two
The sad part is that Mahomes is a genuinely good dude who also sticks up for his teammates. Very humble and would never consider himself the GOAT or demanded to take his talents to another team to win a chip.
yes but the second someone throws an unarguable flag that affects the outcome of the game in a negative way for him he starts whining to the guy who has been repeatedly had his season fucked by Patrick Mahomes and the refs and has never blamed anyone but himself. It's easy to be humble when win all the time. This season with the chiefs having their "worst" year in a while, they have shown how they really are. Travis Kelce is a childish asshole who throws temper tantrums when he does not get his way and Patrick Mahomes is a whiny bitch who has been coddled by luck and favorable refs. Yes good teams get hate but people celebrate when Patrick mahomes loses not when someone else beats the cheifs
As a Bears fan, that reference was personal. It really isn't a good time to be a Bears fan, or a Chicago sports fan for that matter.
Up to this point PM has been nothing but a good human being. His wife is a good person and his brother has done a lot better than most people would do in his position. I'm not even a Chiefs fan but compared to what we have seen in the past with superstar athletes PM and his family is going to be as good as you can get. Yes I would love to play in the NFL and make bank but I think he and his family truly deserve it, they should be allowed to enjoy themselves without excessive judgement. PM, go out and win every game you can because that's what every professional athlete is paid to do.
Its your happiness quotient that TRULY counts, NOT "bank"!
Yeah, i love patrick im fromkc, but his wife n brother are not good people sadly.
Bro has the worst inner circle of all time
You can’t pick your family. However you can choose your friends and the person you marry.
As long as the wife is taking care of the children and not blatantly disrespecting him, there’s no real issue there. But his brother is literally being caught in situations beyond the football games he attends. Being on camera forcibly kissing a woman who doesn’t want you is far more egregious than a wife acting like an obnoxious super fan who has the right to act like it since she’s the one married to em and raising his kids
The fact Patrick has had the kind of success he’s had while his brother and dad are always acting a fool is actually extremely impressive 💯
Chaos Stark. People thrive on chaos because to them it makes them relatable.
I never stopped loving the Chiefs once they started winning I loved it. Ive always been a Redskins/Commanders fan, a Browns Fan, and a Chiefs fan. Haters gonna hate!
Very insightful, Great video 👍👍
Mahomes isn’t any more hated than Brady was
Really? So the media has slandered Mahomes with two bullshit "cheating" allegations? I must have missed that.
He absolutely is, considering the Brady Nuthugger Brigade hates on mahomes combined with the rest of the fanbases. Just sit this one out lil bro
He’s not the villain. He’s the villain slayer
Didn't even bring up his dad. Dudes personal circle is wild. They have not handled fame well.
His dad’s been famous for a long time. He’s an alcoholic. That has nothing to do with fame or no fame.

As a loyal and die hard Denver Broncos fan (29yrs old) I didn’t want KC to win bc they are our division rivals… but Mahomes and the team are just too damn good. Gotta respect it no matter the hate. 🤷🏻♂️ I’m hoping Denver will be SB contenders again someday
He can win every year until he faces giants in superbowl
As in New York??
NASCAR slide: Denny Hamlin is an villain, he has 51 NASCAR wins, 3x Daytona 500 and Southern 500 champions and 2022 Coca-Cola 600 champion.
NFL slide: Patrick Mahomes is absolutely an villain he has 7 straight AFC west and 4 straight AFC champions and 3x Super Bowl rings during his era with the KC Chiefs since 2017.
Whether you love or hate him, believe that Mahomes is building his own dynasty in the last couple years and many people on social media are comparing him to Tom Brady, Brady made his own dynasty in the Pats and Buccaneers during 20 years at the NFL he got 7 Super Bowl rings and Conference Champions in several times.
That's all folks

That sounds contrived to say that people in the early 90s didn't want the Bills to get back to the Super Bowl and were "so rooting for them not to make it back". I was fresh out of high school and watching a lot of football in that era. If anything, people were getting tired of the Cowboys winning SBs, not the Bills making appearances. Never heard that take on the Bills run. Sounds like creative guess work from someone who wasn't around in that era.
It's true there was a whole documentary done on that subject. People were pissed.
Every Time the chiefs and mahomes make all the crybabies haters mad Is beautiful to see.

Criticism comes from the bottom up and not from the top down. Let people hate as Mahomes will just continue to laugh on his way to the bank and polish up his rings as they grow.
Ive had the privilege of living just South of Arrowhead most of my life. I welcome the salty tears from fans of opposing teams. Back 2 Back Baby!! What a time to be alive.

Well it's not that surprising because simply put, Nobody likes a Dynasty. It happened with Tom Brady and it's happening here 🤷🏾♂️
I mean I don't hate Patrick Mahomes but you know what I mean
People like some dynasties. (Example: The 70’s Viking were one of the most beloved teams ever) They just hate the Chiefs mainly cuz of Kelce being such a prick and are sick of Taylor Swift being ok TV
i love dynasties and seeing most teams succeed there’s only a certain few that grind my gears. i honestly wouldn’t care if KC got blown up tomorrow same with philly same with Pittsburgh 💀

I’m a Bears fan and I don’t consider Patrick Mahomes a villain at all or the Chiefs as long as his kids playing I’m rooting for him because he’s that good
I am a Cardinals fan and I like that the chiefs keep showing up.
People hate to see winners so bad. The chiefs have the best coach and the best qb and the best tight end and a top 3 defense and people are mad when they win

He’s seems decently humble for the amount of success he has. You’re not that good at that position in that sport without putting in a TON of extra effort and time. He is a nice enough dude on all his interviews, but he has 2 things going against him.
1) His obnoxious wife and brother, very specifically, his brother. They both have seemed to cool their jets, his brother likely at advice of council.
2) Americans like underdog stories. NFL fans are often very passionate of THEIR teams. Patrick Mahomes has become the giant to be conquered by their “Little engine that could” team.

I have been saying this for years lol finally everyone gets it, the dark knight is one of my fav movies ever.
When you are at the top, you are the antagonist that everybody else wants to knock down. I should note that I've been a Chiefs fan for nearly 35 years - long before Mahomes was even born.
I hated the Patriots and Tom Brady for years... now that the shoe is on the other foot, it makes me rethink that a little. Knowing that I'm experiencing a dynasty, I really have two thoughts. First, dynasties don't last forever. Second, I'm just here to enjoy it for as long as it lasts.
This is more common than people think.
Derek Jeter went though this. Jeter did absolutely nothing controversial in his career. He's only hated just Because he played for the Yankees and he's successful. People try to nit pick his entire career when he's a top 5 Shortstop all-time.

But the ratings go down when there's new team that make it to the SB hahaha
He should be given more love for winning with less and taking less money like brady....i don't see him as a villian....but embracing it can't be bad
For me Patrick Mahomes will never be a villain. Way too likable guy. I wish him all the success in the world and with his talent I have no doubt he will have even more.

The Bills can beat em in the regular season but not the playoffs..not yet, anyway. It's a great rivalry. KC is one _tough ass_ team. They deserve their success.

Oh, and the Jackson/Brittany stuff doesn't matter one bit to me..it has nothing to do with football. Don't care..
The NFL and fans of other teams might as well get used to it. The Chiefs will be the last team standing more often than not. As teams pay their QBs big money their chances go way down. 15 is the only QB that can overcome his salary. That means Lamar, Allen, Hebert, Hurts, Prescott, etc. aren't winning unless they get very lucky. The 9'ers and Texans have a slight chance because their QBs are cheap. 3-peat coming up!
