Rachel Zegler, the actress cast to play Snow White has a LOT to say about the original character - unfortunately none of it was good. In this video I dive into why modern feminism hates Snow White, and who they wish she was.

      @gregorygreenwood-nimmo4954 Před 9 měsíci +44

@@thornyback I am sorry to hear of your experience, and if you don't mind me saying so your ex-husband sounds like a world class jerk, but I think you are giving these writers too much credit. It is not that they have all had bad romantic experiences that have soured them on romance - it seems more often the case that they despise the very idea of romance or intimacy, especially between men and women, on a point of ideological principle.
They see any romantic connection a woman may have to a man, no matter who that man is or what character he may possess, as a sacrifice of that woman's power when they think her energy would be better spent spreading a feminist narrative and seeking the only thing they think has any real value - as @kenstrumpf99 observes, dominance over others, and especially over men that they see as the inherently wicked, born evil enemy of woman kind.
That is why, on the rare occasions when they do include something that could be read as a romance between a man and a woman character, the male participant is always depicted as comedically weak and inept and totally submissive - because only a man who has no agency, no will of his own, and no real personal identity to speak of, is considered non-threatening and malleable enough to be 'acceptable' in their deeply warped vision of what intimate relationships between women and men 'should' be. They don't want to depict relationships between equals because they don't see men as capable of being equal. And why is that? Simply because they don't see men as fully human -- they obsess over relationships of female dominance and male subservience (bordering on gendered slavery) because they are so twisted and broken as people that they cannot imagine a genuinely reciprocated love between a man and a woman who are of course different from one another but view each other with equal dignity.
For that type of activist, the best a man can be to a woman is an obedient pet, a few notches below a pet dog and far less wilful and independent than your average cat. To them, all men are less than human, and any man who actually thinks for himself in even the smallest degree is a monster that should (in their ideal world) be killed out of hand. Never underestimate just how deep the well of dysfunction and bigotry these people represent really is.

Which is kinda funny cause most Disney princesses only have their dad around and love their dads. OG Ariel and Jasmine didn't agree with their fathers but still showed them love. Mulan's parents were still alive but she went to war cause she didn't want her dad to dìe in the battlefield. Bell still loved her father, Cinderella step mother was evil and her dad passed but feminists can't have an evil woman oh no. That would go against their lesbian ideology of "women are always pure and good and bosslady"

She did dream of being happy with the guy, but it didn't seem like the primary focus. And given how little time they had together, both of them were in love with more the idea of being together forever than themselves as a person. That is true, but feminists have always been sh*tty garbage people. The founders of feminism, Susan B Anthony and Cady Elizabeth Stanton were proud misandrists, especially towards negro men (though that wasn't unusual at the time.)
The Suffragettes committed arson and vandalism that _hurt_ women's suffrage by nine years in America, as women were originally supposed to get the national right to vote in 1909, but their riots caused public opinion to change and women didn't get national suffrage until 1920.
The Suffragettes were also responsible for the White Feather Movement, a shaming campaign to try to "cancel" young men who didn't enlist for World War I, while they did literally nothing to help the war otherwise.
There's countless examples of feminism literally ruining society throughout the past 150+ years. But they expect you to just believe the made up lies that "feminism is just about gender equality." What wave of feminism out of the 4.5 waves focused on gender equality again? Oh, that's right; literally NONE of them.

I'd also like to point out that Snow White had boundaries. She worked hard to put the dwarves' house in order, and when they return from the mine, she insists they do their part to keep the house clean by going to wash up before dinner, or they won't be given their meal.
Plus, when it comes to wanting love, Snow White was desperate for it because her only family hated her for reasons she didn't understand. I think that's why there was an emphasis on romantic love as it's not selfish. Familial love can be seen as obligatory, so the notion Prince Florian loves her even though she's dressed in rags makes her feel hopeful that she can be loved.

As if it doesn’t take strength to be vulnerable and fall in love. Then go on to build a life with that person. Not to mention the strength it takes to raise a family and make those sacrifices. As I said in another comment, feminists have always been sh*tty garbage people; it's not just "modern" feminism, although the "least misandrist" was second-wave feminism, despite people like Valerie Solanas and the SCUM Manifesto.
The founders of feminism, Susan B Anthony and Cady Elizabeth Stanton were proud misandrists, especially towards negro men (though that wasn't unusual at the time.)
The Suffragettes committed arson and vandalism that hurt women's suffrage by nine years in America, as women were originally supposed to get the national right to vote in 1909, but their riots caused public opinion to change and women didn't get national suffrage until 1920.
True strong women are anti-feminist, just like true heroic people are anti-communist.

The thought is that the Prince kisses Snow White without consent. An old Feminist observation. 1) Under common law, you may do what a reasonable person would want you to do, ie the man having a heart attack in public: a passing MD would know typically know it is OK to revive this person even though he doesn't ask as he is busy dying. A typical person would think a beautiful girl would very much like a peck from Prince Charming. Why? Its in his name! He's charming. But more importantly: 2) To this day, there are cultures where it is respectful to kiss a dear departed good bye. That is what Prince Charming is doing in this cartoon. He isn't stealing a kiss: he's saying good bye and then, head dropped, he falls to a knee to grieve. She wakes and the 1st thing she does is reach out to HIM to embrace. But the mirth with which this dumb young lady and Gal Godot announce their disdain for love over lust for power is disturbing.

It's why family and marrying early is important (without the provision of easy divorce). Not only will it give you people that care about you, but also make you grow up and behave responsibly, since you have duties and responsibilities on your shoulders. Of course none of that is possible in modern west because marriage has been reduced to a joke. It's just some contract you sign that you can easily get out of if you get bored, and with more incentives for women to leave rather than stay in the marriage. The entire game is rigged against not just men but even women in the long run, but most modern women don't seem to get it.

We all get older and the ppl in our lives that put us at 1st priority are our parents. Once they are gone, it's just you. I told him, "your brother is married and has 2.5 kids now, you are not his 1st priority anymore. If you go to jail god forbid, bail money is your problem."
But it's another reason to keep good friends around and stay close to cousins and sibling that care. They may not help you to the end of the earth but... take their help when they can. And a lot of people understand when someone is alone and need help. Good people don't abandoned people.

@@NostalgiaforInfinityMarrying young and making divorce illegal (AGAIN) bc it was illegal until the early 60's or extremely hard to get a separation, will not help at all!
The age bracket with the highest rates of divorce according to the census bureau it's the age bracket below 20, with 56% divorcing in the first five years, and the age bracket of 20-24 with 42%, people who marry at the ages of 30-35 have a divorce rate of only 10%, our grandparents rushed bc they would die at 50, we are now living until 80, even to a 100 if you are healthy ...
As well, psychologically you sent have your personality formed until about your 22-25 according to psychology, so if you and your partner can still become completely different people (literally) marrying at 20 it's a recipe to fail or to keep a miserable life.
If you coming for "people want to have children" 52% of women at the ages 35- 39 can conceive children naturally within a year of trying, only 15% of them will be infertile and the rest have about 80% chances of getting pregnant through the first cycle of in vitro , which costs like 2k , so it's not a lot , so you can definitely wait to marry a more reasonable age at the end of your 20's or early 30's.
Also, do ask elderly people in homes their stories about when divorce was illegal and heavily frowned upon, you will know about a lot of abusive marriages with husbands that constantly beat on their wives, about a lot of infidelity, about a lot of women who would leave as soon as their kids turned 18 and move far away or straight up never be seen again, about a lot of men who abandoned their families and never came back, bc he wanted to live with another women , was gay or straight up was tired of the responsibility, stories about sexless and miserable marriages, about people who stayed married on paper but went to live on separate houses and even different states, see how the divorce rates of the 60's were the highest between middle age couples and double of what it was in the 70's and 80's, bc there was a lot people who were solely "married" bc divorce was illegal...
It's a way bigger setback to have divorce to be illegal or extremely hard than it is to be extremely easy , it's better an easy divorce with a prenuptial if you are afraid of your finances, people don't need to be miserable like our grandparents were ... BTW statically middle age couples had the highest rates of divorce from the 1960 - 1980's , so yeah, that's what "illegal / impossible divorce caused"
People were already leaving marriages before in the early 20th century, it was just very hidden and if you compare the amount of people of middle age that divorced in the 1960's , you will see that not even less than us...
If you want to solve the divorce rates simple, marry at reasonable age preferably after 25, I personally would say between 27- 31 it's the best, be in a relationship with someone for over 2 years, statically most people that divorced dated for less than 2 years before getting married and long therm relationships had smaller divorce rates, my parents are a huge example of messy marriage, 03 f months together only before marriage, only in fairy tales work to marry someone you just met, it's the exception not the rule, and have a prenuptial with a specific clause for infidelity , hence its the number cause of divorce , its better and that easy.
