Shrek actually had 2 kart racers: Shrek Swamp Kart Speedway on the GBA, and Shrek Smash and Crash Racing on the 6th Gen Consoles
and DS and 3DS...
Aaron didn't include Smash N Crash because it's a game you should play.
He also appeared in Madagascar Kart too, if I remember correctly

Yeah. One that is just emptiness with a finish line next to you. If you choose to cross the finish line, a big disturbing bull head with popped-out bleeding eyes will come out. Check it out if you don't believe me. I honestly find it kind of funny, but other people are really scared of it

There is the discussion of fan servers which have been happening with a lot of these games that lost their online support. So Modnation Racers and LBP Karting aren't out of the realm of that possibility.

Actually Disney speedstorm (which I believe you covered last video) has recently done a massive overhaul update effectively removing season locks on content and mark it far less monetisation focused
This is pretty cool, I’ll have to check it out! When I covered it I didn’t even know it was going to be free to play so I paid $40 for early access on accident LOL
Nah speedstorm is in a horrible state now i dont recommend. Gameloft and their devs are trying to squeeze their player base wallets dry. Never seen a game this monetized.
@Assh8812 at least the monetisation is optional and most characters can be unlocked via story mode or missions or events now and characters that you could only get in battle passes are Available at a later date and they drastically streamlined how upgrading characters works. But yeah I'm not going to say it doesn't have any cause it certainly does and honestly it probably shouldn't have that much and if you want everything quickly then yeah you gotta pay but at least more stuff can be unlocked for free easier than it could before
Speedstorm is a shit show. I discovered it in April and the only way to be competitive is to rank up your racers which can only be done by playing ranked multiplayer, but they match you with players based on Multiplayer Rank, not actual racer rank. So you could be playing with a level 15 racer and be matched up with a level 35-40 racer who will be halfway across the map ahead of you within seconds of the race starting and you’ll never catch them and are effectively only racing for 5th-8th place. Oh and if you don’t get 4th place or higher, you actually get level up points taken away. Does this ranking mismatch happen alot? Only every single time you play.
This was pure clickbait, because not all of these Mario Kart clones are bad! And you expect us to NEVER play any of them based on the video's title? Shame on you!
This is kind of what a lot of these youtubers do whenever they decide to acknowledge other kart racers outside of just Mario Kart. They'll call them clones and tell us how bad they are. They all basically think they're all trash and Mario Kart is the only good one out there. People do the exact same thing with platform fighters.

I feel like that some companies just copy some Nintendo games like Mario Kart and Smash bros way too much. But then again Nintendo doesn’t own this kind of format

What exactly would you say are the elements that separate a Mario Kart clone from other 3D racing games? Some of the commonly cited clones don't even use go-karts.
The sonic racing games is its own little series. Even then they have some differences that separate them from Mario kart. Transformed had vehicles you could fly in the air (not glide) and let you motorboat above water instead of driving underwater. Sounds like semantics but these designs could drastically change up the map as the laps progressed. Destroying sections of the track in order to use the different modes. The boat felt different from an underwater kart as well, having you drive while tackling the waves from the water and currents that could pull you in. In team sonic racing there is a you guessed it team mechanic that lets you do some techniques to quickly progress through the track. There are also character types that impact how you go through the track. This game is alright but can be a great time with friends. Item wise these games work exactly like Mario kart, I’m not going to sugar coat it. There are some exceptions but it’s a Mario kart item with a twist.
I know bomberman fantasy race isn't exactly the kind of game that's considered a "kart" game, especially since bomberman does have kart games, it's more in line with Sonic R where you control a footrunning character able to perform jumps, wall kicks and such. But so many racing games nowadays completely have abandoned giving more complex controls other than ways to drift and boost. funny that Sonic fangames like Sonic Robo Blast are about the only ones in recent memory.

I just don't get why people never wanna call Mortal Kombat and Tekken clones of Street Fighter, but when it comes to kart racing games, they're always calling them a Mario Kart clone. It's a double standard. The ironic thing is, Mario Kart didn't really kick-start the kart racing genre. Power Drift came out before it. Mario Kart definitely popularized the genre, but people are always acting as if it were the originator. Tbh, it just feels like gamers hate anything that isn't popular. If you aren't playing Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Fall Guys, Fortnite, Among Us, Super Smash Bros, NBA2K, Madden, WWE, Final Fantasy, Pokemon, GTA, Mario Party, and Mario Kart then the games you are playing just suck. Anytime Nintendo posts a trailer to a new season of Disney Speedstorm, Mario Kart stans are all under the comment section just bashing the game for simply just existing. PlayStation fans do the same to KartRider: Drift. Smash Bros fans also act like weirdos towards Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and MultiVersus. Are we all supposed to just be into games that are popular ? I thought the whole point of being a gamer was to you know PLAY GAMES.

I had modnation the grad tour (I think the grand tour) on my psVita it was pretty fun but it was sad when you couldn't place more things down when making a custom map

Can say that seeing previews on Disney Speedstorm, I can give ya the scoop.
Sadly the game is literally a mess right now in their Ranked Multiplayer Mode:
1. Since they changed the Upgrade System to Upgrade Coins, sadly it is hard to get em and the shards to star up the characters are now used to upgrade your racer too.
2. They are making missions more difficult to accomplish as even new players or f2p players would struggle. They need specific characters and some needed for a higher level that this upgrade coin system hinders it.
3. Due to this change, more people who had many upgrade materials that are converted to upgrade coins now have many lvl 50 maxed racers. Not even those who barely had experience or progress can get higher at all when they are in the way.
4. Ranked puts even high lvl racers against low lvl racers that its simply not fair anymore. No chance to get first or progress either.
5. They also took away the ability to race with other racers in local or private lobby for free if you haven't unlocked them anymore.
6. Collecting their shards can be proven difficult now.
7. Golden Pass splits into 2 and now you are forced to pay 10 bucks for the golden pass each part which is 20 bucks now. No longer able to purchase the pass with tokens for f2p to be screwed.
8. Sudden change in crew members now give less stats to improve your racer with percentage instead.
9. Lightweight racers aka low top speed racers cannot compete as much anymore against midweight and heavyweight racers with higher top speed than them.
10. Game is more pay to play now than free to play.
Its how the state of the game is that it lost more players to support it

Sure, they're fangames, not official projects, but they're still damn good. Ring Racers does have a bit of a learning curve, but if you can get past that, it's honestly among my all time favorite games.
I love Ring Racers. Such a great game. I didn’t get into SRB2 Kart as much but the few times I did play it was pretty good too

Just some constructive criticism: If the title says to never play the games within the video…why start it with 3 different games that you said were good?
It's just a way to make the title more clickable. If he named the video "Deep Look at mario kart clones" or "Underrated Mario kart clones you probably never played" it probably would get way less views, that's hoe youtube works

Diddy Kong Racing and Crash Team Racing (especially the remake) are top tier kart racers, of course MK really started it but I prefer those two games way more than any MK game, those really refined and expanded on the genre.
Disney had another Kart racer, I think called: Disney world quest: Magical racing tour. Really good, deserves a modern update
