When it comes to my concealed carry guns, I practice tactical polyamory. Essentially, I don't just carry one gun. I have a rotation of guns I carry based on what I'm wearing that day, where I'm going, and what I'm doing.
I put a lot of thought into my carry rotation, which changes based on my needs.
Sometimes a gun that's better at handling the job comes out, and I'll carry it once I'm comfortable with its reliability.
That said, there are five guns I consistently carry because they always see to get the job done for what I need them for.
However, as important as the type of gun is when it comes to concealed carrying, it's also about the training and ensuring you're prepared.
That's why I'm a USCCA member.
It's an easy way to cover all my bases if I ever had to use my gun in self-defense.
I could find myself in a costly legal case to prove that me using my gun was justified.
The beautiful thing about a USCCA membership is that you don't just get self-defense insurance; you also get access to their treasure trove of education and training programs.

Dude, the fact that you have a suppressor on your bedside firearm (I assume to mitigate hearing damage if you have to neutralize a nighttime attacker and not destroy your hearing) elevates this video to Next-Level and I thank you for it!
I love it when people bring out these types of videos, after being inundated 24/7 with the politics and legislative bullcrap that we are dealing with right now. It’s very important for us to deal with the news and the problems coming down the line, but sometimes it’s nice to unplug and relax and watch videos about our hobby that are just plain fun. Thank you, Colion.
I was kind of surprised to see this uploaded after the news from the Rinos in the Senate today, but you're right: let's just unwind for a bit
We've had to deal with 'that' kind of news for a while now, and Colion's probably been wanting to release something like this for a while
Much needed!
@@ColionNoir I stumbled upon your videos like most because I'm a supporter of 2A. I'm not sure if you've done any videos on budget guns and in the past I've stayed away from them. But certain types have really ramped up their quality and to me could compete with the likes of Springfield or Glock. I have a new carry pistol that is used by law enforcement in many other countries. I think you'll be surprised if you don't already own one. Pick up a Tisas Zigana px-9 9mm. Break it in and maybe do a budget gun type video if possible. You might like the gen 3 as much as your Springfield. The gen 2 is really well made also. They accept sig p226 mags and can have a fairly large capacity for its size. Good luck and keep up the good content. Thank you.
Yeah I agree until the politicians kick you in the teeth. With b.s. law that take away our rights.
Im not sure, after all those other kinda vids....seeing something like this feels more like a "Hey, look what you wont be able to do any more" type of thing.
Excellent choices and purposes for each. I learned more than I thought I would off of this video about what and when to carry certain firearms. Thanks for all that you do for the 2A community.
A while back, my little brother bought a S&W Shield 380 EZ for his wife. We took it to the farm and vetted it first. We both went and bought one for ourselves the next day. Never imagined I’d be a fan, but I am. Perfect carry gun.
Never hurts to have options that fit the situations you find yourself in.
What a great gun time we live in (other than politics I mean…but in terms of options). Almost all the arguments between most pistols nowadays are pure preference and personal ergonomics. Sometimes I like the thinness of a 43x or a Shield. Sometimes I like the short, fat 26 with an extended 19 mag as a backup. Sometimes I like the sexy Sig P938. Sometimes I want the manly G20 full of 10mm in the woods. Sometimes I pocket a Sig 238 .380 when I am in sweats. And sometimes the nostalgia of a true classic 1911. Options are awesome.
@@BlueRidgeCritter I say it all the time when people brag about how reliable Glocks are. Pretty much everything is reliable now days, with rare exception s.
@@psycomutt there’s truth to that. I still prefer Glocks over the others, partly because they’re so easy to fix if something does go wrong. All the others, you end up having to send back to the motherships. But in terms of reliability, the field really has changed in the past few years. 40 or 50 years ago, one misfeed or problem in 50 rounds, and most people were perfectly happy with it. Now, we talk in terms of one in 500 rounds or more, and we agonize over that.
Sounds like solid choices to me and I carry some of the same. Belt EDC is Hellcat w/ red dot, upgraded trigger, and HYVE mag extension. Pocket gun is LCP2 upgraded trigger, guide rod and spring. Bedside is a Legion XFive, light, upgraded trigger and 21rd mag and also a DDM4 V7 with red dot and light that the girlfriend handles and shoots very well. Gotta upgrade the trigger on the DD. Seems to be a theme here.
He’s lying and I can prove it.. I’m still a fan, but you can only spin around so many times to say “ I’m dizzy!!! Top 3 ok … 5 your selling!!! What???
Considering I'm not rich enough to have five, the versatility of the 509 is what sold me. All I have to do for different outfits is change mags.
P365 and p320 and Glock has more versatility. Sigs can change the frames to xl or compact and Glock you can change the slides
Not right out the box. 509 for the easy win.
The 509 is so under rated. I absolutely love it. It’s been instinctive, accurate and reliable for me.
good luck the mags, supressors and red dots add up. but the fn509c is an incredibly versatile gun
Very nice I just got it
I love that my top three concealed carry options made the list. And depending on my outfit...determines what I'm carrying as well. My LCP2 usually fits my exercise routine daily. Love this video.
Very nice selection. I have a 43X, 365 SAS, and a LCP for those same reasons. Love that the LCP can slip anywhere with a sticky holster as a trigger guard. It goes to the gym every day. Different situations require different tools for the job.
Does it rust a lot?
Once again,Mr.Noir never ceases to amaze me with his short & sweet comprehensive lists.Love it when he does these types of lists.
Yeah, he's great at getting to the message and getting out.
Thank you

Thanks you my man for great and honest gun reviews. I watch a lot of different people give their opinions about firearms and most are very helpful but you have a unique quality and perception when it comes to how you fairly view each weapon and situation. Plus you don’t give off that overly macho and "I know it all" attitude like some. Keep up the good work!
This level of gun content production just made my day. Thank you Colion
Thanks
Some people collect Legos, others collect watches. Colion… I think you have a problem! That’s more fun in one little briefcase than any other hobby!
love it! For me it's the SIG P365 or the SIG P365XL. Once I get home, and for the bedside table, I have the Walther PDP full size. The Walther also gets some love during the coldest weeks of winter. We won't talk about all the others, and yes they all have a purpose real or imaginary! 10mm, 12 gauge, 556, etc, can all be useful !
Thank you for this video! I'm a fellow USCCA member and you answered some questions in this video that i've have for a few months now.
I’m glad I found your channel and started binge watching your videos I just bought a LWRC IC DI for my first rifle and I can’t wait to go to the range with it! I had a smile on my face while I was at Turner’s the whole time looking at all the firearms they had and how friendly everyone was. 9 days left to go pick it up! For my next gun probably a year from now I hope it’ll be a CZ pistol or a Sig Sauer pistol that isn’t illegal lol.
Can confirm the P365 shoots well and is basically nonexistent even with tight shirts. I carry with the 12rd mag because I get a better grip with the extended base without too much printing. My next concealed carry purchase will be an FN 509 for when I go hiking or wear loose/thick clothing.
100%
Carry while you can brcause the gens will soon come for them
100% exactly what I do and I love it
Glock 19>all these pistols!
@@fbodkin1just too big
I just added the Ruger Max 9 to my carry rotation. I also carry the Glock 43x, S&W Shield, Ruger LCP, & the Ruger LC9s. Sometimes when I am just in the mood for a revolver, I will carry my Ruger LCR. So far I am really liking the Max 9. Just added a Swampfox optics to it. Can’t wait to try it out at the range. And I have been a USCCA member for several years.
How is the Max9?
Colin, started CC this year and signed up for USCCA tonight. Thanks for what you do!
Most elegant Firearms channel out here hands down. Untouchable content right here.
The p365x has the longer handle of the xl, holds 12 rounds, and is so easy to conceal. I absolutely love it. Fits perfect in my hand, easy to grab out of the holster. It's just perfect for me.
Best gun overall at this point, the x fixed the grip issues of the p365
I’ve got a 507k, Wilson combat grip module and a magguts kit in it for 2 more rounds. Basically a perfect carry gun now.
My Dad carries the 365X daily and swears by it. I carry the 365xl because I don’t mind the slightly longer slide and barrel
I agree got the 365x and magguts spring so I can carry 14+1 , had reddot on it but went back to iron sights and also have microcomp
@@strawdemindset xl is better though if you can comfortably carry it. Especially if you run the 507k and tlr7sub on it.
Got so excited when I saw the 43x, gonna pick one up here pretty soon for Summer carry !
Make sure to put a light and optic on it.
Love how much thought you put into selecting your guns, just shows how educated you are, good shit!
I love how you make the guns a part of your style in a sense
I have two I carry; one for winter, one for summer and then there's the master bedroom gun, office gun (next to master bedroom), first floor gun and basement guns. All my in house guns are 45s (M&P, and 1911s) my carry is a Pro Series SW1911 3", and a Performance Center SW1911 Commander. Though I seem to be carrying my Shiel 9 gen one most often, now that I have a red dot on it
I too keep a pocket pistol for the rare lazy times but here in Ma it's a SW M&P 380.
All the other guns are for fun because you only need ONE MORE ;)
I rotated my carry from a full-size 40S&W to a subcompact 9mm. I carried that big boy for years, like 8-9 years or so and it served me very well and if ever appropriate again it will serve me again. The LC9 and EC9 are fantastic concealed carry guns, nearly invisible in an IWB holster or ankle holster
Same I rocked a Glock 23 for two decades. Then that P365XL RomeoZero changed my life.
Did you keep the same trigger for the 40? I don't like how long it is.
@@gemani1992 I left mine completely stock. I used range rentals to help me narrow down my search. It was a benefit. I picked a model I consistently shot well and I don’t think I want to change the trigger on it. We all do what works best for us
@@gemani1992 Similar to 308Dad I kept it almost stock; installed a 3.5lb Ghost connector and polished all the mating surfaces. Ran great with both .40 and a 9mm Lone Wolf barrel, and Trijicon night sights. Being a self-defense gun, I was hesitant to change anything that could be considered making it "more deadly" by a prosecutor.
Thank you for constantly speaking truth! Great advice and great video!

For me, I enjoy any firearm that fits me well. All these do. I'm getting use to the Sig X 10mm. I'm sure it will be in the top 5 soon. By the way, my favorite firearm of all is my Sig Rattler 300blackout. Nothing can compare. Maybe my Aero Precision AR 10. That thing is a beast. Custom 8in barrel.
I've got my tricked out CZ P07 for my bigger, do it all pistol. It's got a red dot and shoots like a dream, almost no muzzle flip.
Taurus GX4 for a tiny micro with red dot that I can shoot effectively.
Springfield EMP 9mm for a slim pistol that's barely bigger than the GX4 that shoots amazing. 10 rounds of 9mm can get it done, plus the extra 9 round magazine.
My Colt 1908 pocket hammerless for my suit gun, the lines are perfect to avoid printing and it looks classy AF with the polished stagg horn grip.
If I need concealment at all costs I've got the FN Baby Browning in .25acp. Not ideal, but better than nothing
I absolutely love the list. I love how you explained it and showed it great job to whoever edit it if it was you or someone else all around that’s the automatic subscription 👍
I love the slowmotion shooting sound!
My concealed carry rotation consists of my 3 ought 6, my Henry repeater, and my missile launcher.
America!!
Wow colion, you have more options just for concealed carry than my entire collection of guns. My EDC rotation consists of a springfield armory XD 9mm 5" tactical and a Rock Island Arms GI 1911 .45; that's it.
This is why I love your channel 👌 everytime I think wow this dude is a black James Bond for real for 2022.
I wonder what case that was. Love the videos, Colion! Your content is what is getting me interested in the firearm community!
Great list! Very helpful. I was happy and surprised to see the LCPII on the list, as that's the gun I grab the most when heading out the door. It's just so small and convenient. That P365 has my attention though!
P365 is magic. Shoots so flat for a small gun. It almost doesn't make sense.
I can say from personal experience that the P365 is an AMAZING gun. Highly accurate, highly concealable, and it just fits great in my hands. I have small hands for a dude, so it fits really good. It's almost like the developers made it for my hand. Yeah, THAT good
Haha, you know what they say about small hands don’t ya??
Small gloves 😉
I have the 365xl and I love it
I have the 365 xl it's my favorite cc by far.
I feel your pain man. I’ve got small hands for a guy (all the men in my family do… thanks grandpa) and the P365 also fits me like it was custom made.
@@Wraith-tf5zqas a person with large hands, we appreciate guys with small hands that can do things we’re incapable of doing. That’s not something to talk down on, be proud of that shit. You don’t know how frustrating it is to try to install a part for 45 minutes and a guy will smaller hands come over and get it on in two seconds.
Thank you for these informative enlightening videos . This is the only video that I heard anybody using and H&K
Keep doing your thing! Greatly appreciate your work my man
Hellcat pro is my carry on choice absolutely love that gun.
I had the LCP 2 & upgraded to the LCP maxx. Definitely worth the upgrade to the maxx. Capacity increase & grip is a hair wider but makes a huge difference. The front night sight is great on the LCP maxx also
Couldn't agree more.
Colion, you are a national treasure. Keep it up.
All fine choices.
My favorite is my Beretta Model 71. Phoom Phoom!!
My primary EDC is a Glock 26 gen 3, my “gas station” gun is a S&W J frame. I’ve tried a lot of different guns, but I ended up liking these the most.
Nice choices. I carry a Glock 17 Gen 5 / S&W M&P 9c and they‘re both great guns. Just got the Sig P320 compact and I gotta say that might replace my S&W
@@trs_3440 I have a Sig M17, they make a very nice gun. I like Sig more than Smith for an auto loader, but my favorite revolvers are definitely from S&W.
What is it about the 320 that puts it above the M&P for you?
@@actsda1357 I personally like the trigger more on the Sig. I have the M&P 2.0 compact with a stock trigger. Nice, reliable gun - I got it a little cheaper than my M17.
Both guns are stock, I haven’t tried any aftermarket triggers on the either one. I’ve let a few friends try both and we all seem to be a little more accurate with the Sig - it just has in my opinion an overall better, crisper stock trigger.
Bad choice for a gas station gun. They are the most dangerous places to be at, many robberies, car jacking, etc go down in gas stations. I always want something with more capacity while at them.
M&P Shield Plus. The smallest gun you can fight with. Sometimes a Springfield 911 in 380 as a pocket pistol. I don’t have any other 3 guns in a rotation. That’s MY preference. None of my other guns really get carried.
Love what I've seen. Subscribed. Looking forward to seeing more from you.
Wow thank you for the awesome info !!! Had no idea about the things you talked about!!! I love your videos 💪
My main concealer is a Walther PPS M2.
Love the way it shoots feels like a full size to me.
Glock 19 is another one I carry.
I would love to have a variety on carry guns for options.
Great video.
Same here...
P99 for me.
G19 here. still my fav after all these years. My GEN 3 is a Tank lol with the ''frying pan'' finish too
Walther is always great choice!
Love the PPS M2 with the 7 rd magazine. Fits my hand like a glove. I’ll trade off a few rounds in capacity for the ergonomics and shootability any day
Awesome rotation!! I'm slowly getting to that point. Right now... I have a 3 gun rotation out of the 5 that I own. 😎😎😉🙂
I carry the hellcat pro, and love/ trust it. Conceals well and feels amazing in the hands.
The hellcat pro is a one the greatest ccw pistols to have ever been designed. Great video
The 43x has been my edc for years now, definitely a simple sidearm
Just got a 43x yesterday and just got back from my ebike while carrying it. Best EDC Gun ever. I don’t need no bells and whistles when it comes to my carry gun. This 43x is perfect, it’s big enough so I know it’s there, but small enough that it isn’t dragging my pants down or feels like it’s stabbing my gut. Basically everything I hate about carrying a fully loaded g19 disappeared when rocking the 43x. I recommend it !
Yeah, I currently carry a 43, and can’t wait to swap it out for the 43x when I have the opportunity.

Its like a carpenter making a video about the different hammers he takes to work depending on the job he has to do that day.
Really? A hammer is a tool used on a job site. A gun is a toy used for entertainment for most people in this country, unless they happen to be in LE. Comparing the 2 is asinine.
@@gregrizzo8054 not really. A concealed Carry gun is still a tool. You may not use it every day (at least I hope not) but it's still important to select the correct tool for the job. If you're wearing sweat pants you're probably not going to be carrying a full size 1911. They can be used for entertainment obviously, going to the range is a blast. But they aren't toys. They are serious tools for a serious purpose
@@gregrizzo8054 yet more people are murdered with hammers than pistols.
I was against the hellcat and 365 and kept the g19 faithfully.. but what I realized after getting the 365 is that it was with me every day, not in glove box not on the nightstand cause I’m only going to the store.
Good job, my top 3, Sig Sauer 365XL, Taurus G3C and I love my S&W Airweight .38, 5 shot revolver

It's pretty sad that because I live in the lib state of NJ that I cannot get the USCCA insurance. In fact, we are not allowed to get insurance for concealed carry. Great video btw. I am in the market for a new CC and this really helped!
This guy rotates his guns more than I rotate my underwear.
I was looking at videos on good conceal carry guns and came across your channel. Now I'm a subscriber. 👍
Super dope vlog Colion!
I love my Hellcat OSP (not Pro). You can use a 15-rd mag and keep the lighter weight and smaller slide. The shorter sight radius is irrelevant if you use a red dot. I personally find the adaptive grip texture to be perfect - smooth against the torso when carrying but great traction when shooting.
I love the Walther PDP.
I just picked up the Hellcat RDP for the same reason of keeping the grip smaller with the flush fit mag or run the extended for the Pro grip. I am comparing it to my PDP-F 3.5 which shoots great but is bigger.
When I finally got my own guns, I decided to get a full size pistol and a compact for concealed carry. The compact I went with was the P365, and I gotta say, he's spot on with the description of it. It's tiny, but for some reason, I just feel like I can snipe targets with it. It's my favorite one to shoot
P365 is a Micro Compact. G19 would be a compact.
Been wanting the fn 509c tactical for a minute. Recently just changed my mind to the mrd midsize. This video just switched me right back
Glad to see the LCP getting love from you.
I was on the fence about the Hellcat Pro because I already have a hellcat. But now I'm sold. That's my next gun.

Dude I'm a hard-core runner and have been wonderin what to carry, thanks man.
I had a hard time choosing my concealed carry but after shooting my FNX tactical it felt better than my S&W so I bought 509c. It has a 3.7” barrel it’s between too small and the slightly big feel. Apex makes a threaded barrel for the 3.7” so if I ever decide I want that it’s an easy swap. Also finding a compact gun that feels full size was amazing feeling and I couldn’t say no at that point lol
Excatly why i got the glock 43x micro slim 9 but big enough grip for me to get a solid purchase on the frame
Man I struggled through this as well. Ended up with a smith and Wesson shield 9 plus.

@@kable1173 how are you liking the shield plus? I bought it as well a couple months ago, only have shot about 35 rounds through it and I'm not sure on it now... I'm going to give it another chance at the range.
Bodyguard 38S for me most the time. Much much easier to shoot well than my LCP Max. Am interested in a hellcat pro. Typically I carry a Canik TP9SC or a glock 19 depending on what I'm wearing.

I have been very hesitant about the Sig Sauer p365. I own a P229 and 40 S&W and absolutely loved it though it is a little on the big side. Being 6'"3 that's never been too big of an issue. But after hearing the Springfield Hellcat being at the top of your list, my interest is definitely peaked and will have to do more research on that one. Great content is always
I’ve carried the p365 everyday for the past 3 years. No complaints at all. Carry it in a pocket holster with shorts, jeans, whatever and it’s almost unnoticeable.
I rented a Hellcat and a P365 at the range and put four boxes through each before buying a Hellcat. That said, the Sig was a VERY close second for me. It came down to the last couple rounds in each gun to figure out which one was my choice

I got respect for this man. Being able to carry a gun EVERYWHERE he goes. But, I do think it’s a little overkill to have a gun literally EVERYWHERE you go. But again. High respect for this man.
It's called edc for a reason.
The Only people that don't carry absolutely everywhere are just not comfortable enough and they need to work on that. If I don't have my edc on me I'm making the Decision to put my family's life in danger. As somone who has been in 2 life or death situations trust me if you edc, then edc absolutely everywhere.

You could “run to the car real quick” and somebody could be thirsty or cracked out going after the first person they see fit and guess where your tool is? In the box not being useful. You’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Like he said I’ve gotten into things at the most random places or timing and thankfully I had it. You never know, life/death aren’t predictable, carry.
Daaayyum Colin!!! You lucky SOB your problem of choosing all those different pistols! You have such a fun job!!! Thanks for all you do! Springfield and Sig top CC pistols!!!

Just got the Hellcat pro and I love it! great selection bro
I’ve said this before but it needs to be said again: You are a role model and a hero and an invaluable asset to our country. Thank you for all you do.
There we go using the word hero for every Tom, Dick and harry.
We can like him and what he contributes but a hero???
Save that for what really counts
@@henrycruz45cal but he is a hero because he is taking action (creating interest in and expressing the benefits of) in support of a right that is under all-out attack. Don’t forget the esteemed position we place Hamilton, Madison, and Jay for their publications.
The P365X could easily take place of the Glock G43X you're carrying, since you want the short barrel and longer grip! That's why I chose the P365X as my carry gun and with the Wilson Combat grip module with the Magguts kit and their much improved baseplates plus my Holosun 407k it's my perfect pistol!
That’s the one I was considering.
Hey Scott...check out the Icarus new grip coming out soon called the X-Evo. Price is super high but if you mainly carry 1 gun then this will top the WC grip. Still WC is way better then stock by feel and the fact it doesn't flex when a mag isn't' inserted but if you got the money I would suggest Icarus grips. I wish they kept up with stock because I have their p320 grip and its amazing. Just throwing it out there.
I love my 365xl so much I sold my Glock 43.
Too bad the g26 is better than both the 43x and the p365x. G26 is the best CCW. Takes any and all double stack 9mm Glock mags.
For my bedside/colder weather (3 season) gun, I carry my Walther PPQ M2. At a 4" barrel and 15+1 capacity, it's pretty much my goldilocks gun. The Springfield Hellcat Pro looks great and is cheaper as well as coming with slide cuts for a micro red dot, which I may have considered after watching this video. PPQ's slide cuts for red dots are all aftermarket steel shaving and I'd rather not buy a PDP when I still have a perfectly great firearm already. I just wish I would've considered carry cuts before buying it. The Walther is smooth as butter though with easily the best trigger I've ever used on any handgun.
My summer/tighter clothing carry is the S&W M&P Shield Performance Center Plus with a 4" barrel. I was a bit disappointed with the Shield M2.0 (which was my first ever pistol purchase and second ever handgun purchase), but the long-barrel Plus pretty much hits all the right notes. It's slimmer than my Walther, while still being able to get a good grip on it, which I couldn't do with my old 3.1" Shield M2.0. It's not nearly as snappy as the Shield M2.0 either and the trigger is worlds better.
I probably will buy a Ruger LCP Max for a pocket gun when It's really hot outside and I just wanna throw something in my pocket for a run.
Great video as always, Colion!
LOVE MY 43X , PRIMARY ARMS MAG WELL AND 15 RDS! ALSO HOLSUN 507KX2. TY FOR THE VIDS!, MOST THE TIME GOOD STUFF!
I'm of the school pf thought less is more. Main carry is a Hi-Power, summer carry is a G43, backup gun is a lws380 or an airweight. That's it. Those 4 ever. And even then usually only 1 or 2 of them at a time. 5+? Too much for a guy like me but someone like Colin gdtting time and ammo for practicing with all those guns is probably easy enough so props. I just like the muscle memory of my small amount of carry guns.
Thanks for adding the FN509C, I have a 509C that I love, very accurate and shooter friendly. This gun does not get a lot of press but it is a very fine firearm. I am a precision pistol shooter and though this is not a target gun it is impressive at 25 yards. Thanks for giving a shoutout to FN!
Worth getting for my first conceal carry? I have a 19x but isn’t cutting it
@@KingCaz01 I’d look into an H&K or a Glock instead
@@KingCaz01 FNs are garbage. Definitely better guns out there.
@@KingCaz01 You really need to watch reviews for the Walther PDP-F series.
Most reviews mention it's even better than the PDP.
Better grip, easier reach to the best stock trigger on the market and SICK accuracy right out of the box.
Walther quality is well known.
Their customer service is exceptional as well.
I also like the Ruger LCP but I shoot a lot and can ignore the recoil from the small frame. A revolver is also worth considering. For the recoil sensitive a .327 magnum is nice, loaded with .32 or .32 mag. if you really want to throttle it back.
Great video and I love your style - to the point and no bs with even some humor. Just gained a new sub, keep up the great work!

What I love about the Sig P365 is that you can configure it to be super small for concealment, or put an XL or similar Grip on it, along with a XL or Macro slide, you have a very capable setup.
