    I still have some questions even with your great tutorial. I was fitted with a medium foam. First, my eyes are set closer together, so it sits nearly on top of the inner corners of my eyes. It also burrows into my forehead above bridge of my nose. No matter how tight or loose I set the upper strap, I wake up with gooey eyes. I have somewhat of a long face, and the upper side strap wants to sit on my ears instead of above them. I don’t know if that is causing air to leak on the sides and sounds like my cheek is farting! I have been tightening and loosening straps for a month. My straps on top go all the way to the back of my head in order for it not to leak out of the top. Lower straps are about 4 inches from the buckle thing to the tip of the strap. Do, I need to be refit completely, or am I doing something wrong? Or, does the F30i sound like a better choice for me?

    Very informative. I have been struggling with leaks and the large cushion which the sizing template said I should use. I have been able to get the medium size to work but it feels a bit too small. This mask comes with 3 different headgear sizes in addition to the cushion sizes. I have the standard size headgear but wonder if I should try the large size head gear. I have been looking for sizing information on the headgears but can not find them anywhere. Might you have that information? Thanks.

    • @LiveWellCPAP
      @LiveWellCPAP  Před 2 lety +2

      If you are struggling with leaks, you most likely don't need a larger headgear but may want to look at a few other components first. How long has it been since you changed your cushion? The recommendation is once a month. You might be able to get a little longer life out of it but once it loses it form, you may find yourself having to strap tighter and tighter on your headgear. Secondly, if your headgear is 6 months or older, it might have lost it's elasticity.
      One other common problem we see is that folks are not seating the cushion up high enough on the bridge of the nose. You can try pulling it up a bit higher than feels natural, the mask will be in your line of sight when it correct. Hopefully, this helps!

    • @LiveWellCPAP
      @LiveWellCPAP  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, shaving is very helpful. If you are okay with a completely clean shaven face that is ideal. If you like your facial hair just try to keep it trimmed up really well and the Airtouch F20, the foam cushion one, usually works pretty well😀

    How do I change the size mask from a medium size to a large which was included in the f20 box we received? It came attached to the strap and magnet apparatus with a Medium mask affixed. Also in the box was both a Small and a Large mask by themselves. On the S and L masks they do not have the proper housing for the 4 contact points (the 2 magnets plus the 2 other contact points) also the hose nozzle opening on the S and L do not have the same inner lip raised edges as the Medium that came already affixed. Are these S and L for demo sizing WITHOUT ACTUALLY applying to the straps? Thanks in advance for any help switching the Med. mask to a Large mask.

Sometimes the seal is 10/20. 12/20. and got focused on the seal, however, those same nights I would have events as low as 0.5. or 1. and 1.5 so the results are good the seal not, so I actually don't get too fussed with the seal, so long as the results are low, any thoughts ? cheers B

    • @LiveWellCPAP
      @LiveWellCPAP  Před 2 lety

My trainer asked me if I had questions?. i had one question, after that, the training ended. This is not right. Everything i learned was pretty much was on you tube and reading through the many supplied materials. This experience does not leave me confidence in the product or the company.

    Dear ResMed. No one should struggle so much with this, non-conductive TO SLEEP. Entirely Counterproductive! Miserable. No matter what I do.

      Hi Margaret, we are so sorry to hear how much you are struggling. Do you feel like it is more of a mask or machine issue? Sometimes it is hard to pinpoint. You might do better with a different mask or your CPAP pressures may need to be adjusted.

      Adjusting my CPAP pressure and positioning correctly on my nose made ALL the difference for me.
