Wow. The level of craftsmanship to make this sword was over the top.
Yep, quite a lot of the fancier swords take much more time and effort than anyone thinks.
As much as I love most of the weapons made on this channel, I get frustrated with the demonstrations. What is the point in smashing glass and ceramics with a blade? A blunt edged piece of metal would achieve the same effect. The only sensible things I see being cut is fruit, but that says little about the blade as even fairly blunt edges can slice through fruit when they are swung at it. I'm not saying you should ruin the blades by testing them to exhaustion, but at least cut something with a bit of resistance to it like a tatami mat or something.
yess!! a million times yes!!!!! the conclusion to each episode just makes me so mad!!!!!!
cut melons, pineapples, pumpkins! or the tatai mats, or do cold steel and sting up a pig and go to town on it.
they make props... not necessarily always functional....
and they have no problem making claims they can't match... like calling things Damascus....
I would rather have a blunt metal rod in battle then that bullshit hahaha
Creationsofmyown You know what Damascus steel is right?
Timothy Parrish
apparently better than you...
Never understood why they kept breaking glass objects to show how sharp a sword is.
thought the same
Cause the sword isn't sharpened so it doesn't cut
+Ethan Chan, ok that could be it but you'd think since they're showing us the building of the sword. From choosing the material to fabrication and finished product. Why skip a crucial part of a sword build which is sharpening the blade?
Because they're shitty cutters with a terribly balanced blade, this is about the only thing they can get through cleanly.
exactly
Make Ice, Ned Stark´s sword, from Game of Thrones.
+Daniel Sandoval Where do I throw my money ?
***** Into your pocket...
Daniel Sandoval I was bluffing I have no money.
Ha.
***** Oh, sorry. Ha.
Yes, make ICE!
You did Longclaw, now you need Oathkeeper
Eddard Stark's sword Ice from Game of thrones
like
I agree
ICE!
yeahh ICE
eddards sword would be sweet
Imagine what medieval blacksmiths had to go through to make one of these
Replace the machines with a few more humans and you´re done. Machines only save time.
Your scale is completely off. There is a scene in the adds for a movie called Water for Elephants. It has a scene were six guys with sledge hammers driving a stake (for those building sized circus tents) into the ground. Watch that scene then imagine eighty of those guys at once. That is what machines do.
that means nothing if anthing it proves his point and a power hammer has the strength of around 70 hammers at once so the metal will only need to be heated once maybe twice.
however when these machines werent available their would be 2-3 men a marker and the heavy hitters that would really move the metal so instead multiple heats would be required which would take more time.
They didn't make these, they made real swords.
It is a real sword
It's not valyrian steel
Max Tan You mean it's not forged using magic?
Mr. Tan, are you telling me this won't defend me against White Walkers??
Max Tan No. It's Better than valyrian steel!!
+Max Tan Good point. :D
+ZesPak Damn! Seven hells!
+Sasatern Indeed. Mainly because, obviously, it's real. ;P
This is great work and the final product looks fantastic, but there is one thing that pains me: Why would you make a high quality blade like that and then use an inferior threaded hilt assembly? Why not a proper peened construction?
Skall !
He needs sell hiss sword at the and of the day is is riche
Itay Yakobowitz He doesn't sell any of them.
Maybe to avoid damaging the pommel? Flimsy excuse but it's all I've got.
Yeah, was surprised to see you here as well, mate. Are the threaded ones the ones that rattle like hell after several uses?
As it is, I think most of these aren't bound for a lifetime of use.
Artorias' Greatsword from Dark Souls 1.
which one though there's three
Anaverageguy41 Any of them.
You didnt used Valyrian Steel. Its crap.
Kinda hard to when Valyria is still burning and the methods have been lost
GRRM based Valerian steel on Damascus steel ;)
The guy did his best why don't u make one if u want it correct
+Tyler Iccarys I kinda have a feeling that Sam is going to find out the secret to make Valyrian steel at the Citadel
I bet you wouldn't kill the Other with this sword
I love it when you guys make realistic blades. I love the fantasy ones also, but the realistic ones are the best in my book.
Absolutely love watching the processes. Don't get complacent when you feel its repetitive, seeing how you actually make these doesn't get old.
Definetly one of the best, if not the best piece you guys have made.
Fckin' Longclaw can kill a Whitewalker!!!!!!!!!!!
PancakeWhip That episode was so fucking good
There are only 3 things that can kill a Whitewalker.
Dragon Fire
Dragon Glass
And Dragon Steel (Valyrian Steel)
Longclaw was the ancestral blade of house Mormont given to Jon, the blade was made from Valyrian steel. (probably because the Mormonts were around when Aegon II still lived and probably gave Valyrian Steel to houses as an alliance gift.)
Hamza Ahmed786
Right after Melisandre showed up though. Let's not forgot how easily she and her god can bring people back to life.
***** No, they have had it for longer.
Dragon Steel.
Wait so the pommel is screw on? This means that Jon Snow could end someone rightly...
Oh I see what you did there ;)
i'm a bit confused, can you explain further?
Well it's a joke between the skalagrim fanbase
Skalagrim has a fanbase? oh that's right, we're talking about jokes.
i think he is very entertaining^^
you should make a second channel that is more in depth for the actual blacksmith. have hour long episodes for each sword you make on this channel showing how to set everything up, what you need to do it and so on.
FROSTMOURNE HUNGERS...
for you to make it.
normally id say eeeeeeeeew world of warcraft but well played
Can this thing cut White Walkers?
theJKA Dunno, why don't we ask them?
+theJKA no. game of thrones is fake. white walkers don't exist.
+Ryan Holy shit really? thanks for telling us we had no idea that it wasn't real. what next? Are you going to tell us elmo isn't real? or curious George? is he not out there somewhere, making little hats out of newspapers he should be delivering?
+Shane Waters That's hard to say. There is a scene in the show where Jon does kill a White Walker with Longclaw. But that is in the show, not the books. In the books, while it has been confirmed that obsidian(dragon glass) can kill White Walkers, and there was a vague reference about a sword forged in dragon's fire (the words valerian steel aren't used) no such weapon has been confirmed used against the White Walkers.
+fred fry they call it dragonsteel and jon suspect it's the same thing.
By far my favourite forge, not only for the character of the show but for the sword itself. The fact that you can forge patterns into the blade that way is fascinating. Awesome job guys!
Eddard Stark sword "Ice".
I AGREE
Or Needle.
FROSTMOURNE, this one was so beautiful, and actually very sturdy blade
the made this sword for the people who watch the videos.
FOR THE WATCHERS
Lmao
You sir, go above and beyond when creating these works of art. Amazing, the amount of work, technique, and craftsmanship that go into these pieces.
Kirito's Elucidator one handed sword from Sword Art Online!
Masterwork.
What the hell..
Lol this is ironic
Yes... WITCH CRAFT! Burn! They cloned me!
Eddard Stark What is a Witch....IS IT SOME SORT OF DARK SORCERY! YOU WANT TO BURN ME?! YOU MUST FOLLOW THE RED GOD!
Nope. I know witch craft when i see it! >:(
Lord Ned Stark 's sword make ice
NOİSY BOYuzay they did it.
Nobody makes em like you do Tony - beautiful piece, I imagine it looks as good or better than the props used on the show!
EDDARDS STARKS MASSIVE VALERIAN STEEL SWORD!!!
The swords the soldiers in Attack on Titan use!
Yes please !!
That Damascus pattern is just incredible.
I find the process of making these weapons just so fascinating. One of my favourite CZcams channels. I personally want to buy a replica Longclaw or Sword of Altair.
Finn's Demon Blood Sword. I know you've done Adventure time twice, but that sword would look so sick in real life.
Please make Ice... then melt it and create Widow's Wail and Oathkeeper
I won't be able to watch Ice be melted again
I'ts a gr8 sword (according to the books not in the series)
Please make Lord Eddard Stark ' s Valerian Great Sword Ice.
King Jon Starkgeryan they did it.
Awesome work, especially the center with the Damascus steel.
Lich King's Frostmourne!
Blizzard is pretty crazy with frostmourne and let me tell you that there is no way they can make frostmourne without Blizzards complet agreement or they're going to get sued so hard
Kirito's black sword from sword art online
Thats a Good idea kiritos black sword drin sword Art online
Elucidator is good idea

Love your videos. So interesting and informative and fun to watch the demonstration of the finished product
Geralt's Steel or Silver coated long swords from The Witcher games. I'd like to see those.
Marimar
Kirito's Elucidator From Sword Art Online!
I was going to say both swords though
Me too but I felt like I was asking a lot!
That would be so cool!
yeah I agree that would be cool. Maybe he can Make Dark Repulser too. That would be even better.
Been asking that same question for three months now
damn, i never got tired of this videos.
What a beautiful piece man.
Mihawk's sword!!! That would look beastly!!,
word!!!
Do the Sword of Gryffindor!!!
Deadly yet beautiful!
What an amazing job, I bet so many people would love to make weapons for movies.
Ryoku's Scissor Blade from Kill La Kill, that would be a challenge!
Hell yeah!
SoulReaver from Legacy of Kain.
Great work on this one. I loved watching how it came together.
COME ON I'VE BEEN ASKING FOR SOULREAVER SINCE THE 1ST VID. LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kirito's Elucidator, Dark Repulser, or both!!!
I was just about to comment that, thank you for doing my work
Would love to see that happen!
I wish your videos were longer I really enjoy watching the blade forging
This is spectacular work
Guts' Dragonslayer from Berserk!
Imagine them creating the spear that Oberyn was using in the the last episode. BADASS!
holy shit this thing is beautiful. Arguably (imo definitely) one of the nicest pieces you guys have forged.
How can any these videos get any dislikes what these guys do it’s a pure masterpiece 👌🏻
Oh so you're one of the 3 blacksmiths who can create Valyrian swords.
I knew it.
Kirito's Elucidator from SAO
Make ice please.
+sebastian reina Just take some water and put in the fridge...
+The Gamer Bro Fridge or freezer
+The Gamer Bro I meant the valyrian steel great sword of house Stark...

Yes, make ICE!
This sword is a work of art! Beautiful! I would love to do this kind of work! Very impressive!
Ryuko Matoi's/Harime Nui's Scissor Blade from Kill La Kill!
Gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII!
you made it and you put all your heart in to it you guys are talented
September 2017, just starting watching Got, this is an awesome build
One of the best you have ever done. Outstanding.
Frostmourne! Lich King's sword
Hell Yeah!
It will be awesome if they can make :/
Yeah It would be very coool if they would make Frostmourne!! I want it! :D
Warglaive's of azzinoth. But that would be ultra complicated.
THEY HAVE.... TO DO FROSTMOURNE!!!! ITS A MUST!!!! AND SHADOWFROST WULD BE AN COOL EXTRA
superb work guys!
So this is how Valyrian Steel is made!
I approve.
YOU KNOW NOTHIN', JON SNOW.
***** HUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUEBRBR
Kirito's Elucidator from Sword Art Online
Amazing work guys!
Fantastic!, one of my favorite swords saga.
Still waiting for Kirito's sword from SAO
Frostmourne!!! Blade of the Lich King! :D
YOU ARE FANTASTIC... I EVER SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS IN ALL MY LIVE!!!!
This is my favorite build out all of them, including Reforged's stuff
Dracule Mihawk's black sword from one piece
omg that would be insane
This is a must.
Kirito's Elucidator from Sword Art Online!!!!
Make oathkeeper ( brienne's sword
+Max Rotenberg you mean oathbreaker, cuz she didnt keep any oath
+MrDexter ya
+MrDexter She did now, sucka xD haha!
she sucks man she will always suck
she broke the biggest oath:to protect house baratheon
she failed to protect everyone
she bowed before 2 false kings renly and joffrey
she has a lannister sword and armor(i know the sword is a part of ice, something that she will never deserve, but now it belongs to the lannisters)brienne is nothing but a failure
+Max Rotenberg They should make the ancestral stark sword ice in one video, then melt it. And then make widow's wail and oathkeeper. xD
"this was a great historical piece" 10/10
Nort
Oath Keeper from Game of Thrones!!!!
Rebellion- Devil may cry
very good idea
Fran Ruiz Let's Hope he does it! It's been 6 months since i'm asking for it in these videos and this is the first time I see another request of this sword! lol
yeah sir , please make it
I was literally just gonna ask that and then this is the first comment I see, lol high 5✋
yeee we want that sword pleaseeee dudes!
what a gorgeous blade, man I miss Tony's videos everything about them
I like this guy's builds more than the others that are featured in this series.
Awesome sword, but I'd like to see some ballistic gel in the series. Pretty tired of breaking glass etc.
Ballistic gel would be fantastic. This might be my favorite sword yet.
That is always kind of weird. Build amazing swords, then bludgeon glass with it. Going fruit ninja on a melon is cool. Glass, not so much.
I agree on the glass-breaking bit. I don't see the point in that. Any metal object can break glass. Is it supposed to impress? :|
Agreed.
100% agree
Really cool build but I have to say that I prefer the swords from anime or cartoons cause we already seen this sword in the series while a weapon from an anime is just drawn and is alot cooler to see come to life than something like this. that being said really amazing job, keep it up.
Fantastic work. really enjoy the videos. Where do all the swords end up? Have the cast and all involved in making the show, contracted you guys to make any pieces?
Thanks guys for hard working
It's not easy
240p!? Why did you do this to us, Tony!?
you know nothing
I'm getting 1080p
Frostmourne from warcraft!!
That must be freaking hard to make!
MrKIPPETJEpokpok I think they have the skill and the materials to make a Frostmourne, what I think they don't have is the licence to make one.
Or Bulwark of Azzinoth from WoW TBC (or Greatsword of Artorias from Dark Souls)
Lucas Martins You think they don´t have the license to provide free advertisement?
TimesNwRoman It does not work like that we're afraid. Blizzard has very strict rules with copyright
You made my favorite sword of all time. I don't know what else to ask for other than the first bidding price.
Love your work
Could you do a bonus video of some sort about how swords were forged in the past? Like how they were made before all of the machinery you have came out?
thanks for working your arse off for us Tony i appreciate all the work you and your team do for our viewing pleasure!
The new Damascus Excalibur sword from King Arthur- Legend of the Sword. The Damascus blade with the runes on it make it looks so cool! I know that you guys would make a beautiful looking replica.
They better start making more of these and fast !!
