Today we look at the most accurate sniper rifle in Tarkov! This used to be the SV-98, but ever since the AXMC was introduced in patch 12.12.30, it has taken the crown improving the best accuracy that we can get by a further 30%. Practically speaking this means no misses out to 600 meters!
To get access to this weapon, you have to get to Jaeger 4 and have completed “The Huntsman Path - Woods Keeper”, which is the quest to kill the scav boss Shturman and successfully extract with his key. Once you have it, FMJ rounds can be purchased from Peacekeeper 4.

We'd need optics that could reach that far, and honestly the danger space for .338 in tarkov makes shooting past 1600m completely impractical , let alone the accuracy values, these make shooting over 1600m a complete gamble regardless.

I tried shooting someone recently on Woods at 800 m with the xmcx and the PM II 3-12X scope and It was just that the scope was no ment for that far and y think that to make the scopes on this game be dangerous at those distancia they need to change the scope magnification sistem so if a scope is 3-12 i don't hace 2 positions i have a more zoom and a les zoom its not a binary thing but sooe that you can add and remove zoom like irl

@@tetra111 With the .338 you can reach out to 1000m with the 3-12 without going into the "thick" portion of the reticle.

They should add a slow reload for snipers to reload with out loosing sight picture

There’s a way to hold sight picture after firing by holding down left mouse button
@@AHoardyBoi yeah but I mean when you reload. You loose it. So they could add like a hold R for bolties so that you reload slower but you don't loose sight picture

its not really surprising since irl 338 lapua is known for long range and pin point accuracy along with bolt actions being more accurate than semis because of less moving parts

BSG needs to fix sniping then because being able to fire a giant gun like that with accuracy is just ridiculous. You need a stock and even better a bipod. And accuracy needs to be increased if you have a bipod extended and the weapon resting on a surface. With a game as incredibly detailed as Escape from Tarkov it's surprising that it has this oversight.
All they need to do is putt accuracy on stock or increase involuntary scope sway for low ergo guns. I'd say, adding scope sway as separate stat is probably long term best option. Makes things like stocks with adjustable cheek pads an actually useful thing instead of wasted weight capacity
It's almost criminal of you to use a 1-6x scope on this gun! I've found myself really enjoying the 3-12x 34mm scopes. The 3x gives great medium range vision when someone might get a little close for comfort, great for scouting out and tracing players as well and 12x is perfect for when they stop for a sec and letting you land an easy shot. 12:10 that would have been the perfect situation for the 3x!
Haha yeah, I only took the AXMC to force some situations - with a sidearm I can totally see that. That Schmidt 3x12 is nice scope!
1x6 works just fine. you see many streamers like lvndmark running this and hitting 300m shots
Worth noting this gun is the only gun i'd recommend (no pro but I've gotten kappa twice across 6 wipes. Im a hardcore casual) the high powered scopes on. It had such decent velocity and accuracy that I'm able to land 500-600m shots lighthouse and reserve. Enjoying a 3x base and then maybe 16 or 32x magnified there's a few scopes to choose from . Paired with a 5-7 sidearm or cheap budget ump it's a scary kit albeit expensive!

The recoil stat on bolt actions is actually really important for long range shooting. If you're recoil is too high, you won't be able to see the bullet impact in order dial in shots.

Been using the AXMC for a while, I usually run it with a thermal scope and shoot at center mass of the target, usually it's a one shit kill. I also bring along a secondary scope like a razor to do some longer range sniping but I rarely get the opportunity to spot a target further than +600m away.
i just unlocked this gun just about an hour ago. one shotted Shturman and both of his guards with a sv 98 with the ps rounds. might buy this gun and play a bit with it

I'm sure you've noticed by now but from 11:15 on, the reason you didn't kill them, was because you were shooting the rock you were prone on.
Literally played this wile to get that gun, got it ages ago but now i stopped playing the game because the boys aint on and i dont like solo experience bullshit. So now i just join the game and make cool gun builds from different manufacturers and stock pile them in my stash lol. Played with the AXMC and it's an absolute blast to shoot
I would love to use this thing but my biggest issues with killing the bosses for tasks is I just don’t have the attention span to sit there and look for them raid after raid and on top of that I get side-tracked by my urge to loot
jaja for the algorithm. Axmc is op for the last tarkov shooter - got it in the first raid.

Question: is the bastion helmet worth buying? I have well over 13 million roubles but am finding it hard to justify the 80k price tag on the bastion over smth like the ulach; what do you think?
I think the bastion is only worth it if you are spending the money to fully upgrade it with the even more expensive armor plate. If you are running totally vanilla you should just use a Ulach.

ULACH is probably best value for money at class 4 in the game rn. Class 4 + ears protection for ~60k is really hard to beat.
Its not worth it ULACHs are best value and if you need night vision TC 2000 series helmets are pretty good

Does anyone know why the top right corner of the woods raid has been blurred?
My guess it's supposed to blur out ping if he's on NA most streamers do this if they don't have streamer mode enabled.
I have unstable ping when streaming due to a terrible connection (until I get fiber) and pushing my bitrate to the maximum to make the stream not look like total garbage haha. I used to zoom in the clips slightly and cut it off at the top because the ping icon is really distracting to me, but some people didn't like that approach so this was an even better solution!
Gigabeef, in my experience the longer you run on a broken or black leg it seems to get worse. Maybe do some tests?
This is a specific instance where you get the effect like 3x as fast, I'm not sure what causes it tbh

To be specific, British laws regarding advertising are extremely strict compared to those within the US, so if you feature any sort of avertising, promotion or likewise sponsorship, you have to very clearly state that your video contains those things either in the thumbnail, title or more often than not, both.
