My right ear really enjoyed this video
I’ve watched several of your videos while researching what kind of diet built for weight loss and muscle sustainability. I ultimately ended up with white rice, chicken, broccoli and spinach. Every once in a while I’ll do a beef patty and fish such as salmon(when I’m craving more fat) or cod. At first it was difficult and getting the meal prep down was not easy. I’ve been at it for almost 2 months. I feel great, I look better and I’ve lost about 30lbs and it’s become easy. I have a routine now, I know what’s I’m buy and when I need to buy it, I know how much I’m spending. It’s awesome, thank you for your help.
Nutrition and recipe/cooking videos are my favorite that Evan brings. That’s what I would want to see more of
Same bro
You're right guys, same for me. Next time Evan will teach us how to make Tiramisu' :D
These are hard to do obviously but my favorites are when Evan would go to different markets around the world and talk about different foods and spices of different cultures.
I'm done dieting I have videos of exactly what I did
Agree 100%
The point of using foods that are primarily one macronutrient is so smart. Everyone knows the “chicken broccoli and rice” but Evan, you really explained the purpose of the dieting lifestyle here. Really great video
Thank you sir 🙏
Love Bodybuilding lifestyle.
To be honest, when it comes to health and nutrition Evan is always great to hear from
lmao you shouldn't listen to anything coming from this guy when it comes to health. he's overweight and eats way too much food.
I can listen to him talk for hours.
I finally figured this out recently and Evan is 100% right. Staying on track comes down to reducing variability as much as possible and staying on track is where all the gains are made. 👍👍
Evan makes it simple and yet effective. Love his advices that he shares, Keep 'em coming !
Speaking from years of personal experience, this is 100% spot on!! Similar to Stan Efferding's "Vertical Diet". Don't focus on foods that you like, instead consume foods that "like you". Meaning, foods that you enjoy and digest easily. And these foods become your breakfast, lunch and dinner (hence the "vertical" as opposed to a wide spectrum of foods). Thank you for another great video!🙏
Every time I have doubts with my diet, I come back to watch this video
Your knowledge and no BS information is gold. Always a pleasure to listening to you 🤘
Evan is the only person that brings me back to this channel. Miss when he used to do more nutritional videos.
It's always a pleasure to hear Evan talking about nutrition. Big hug from Brazil.
This was cool. I never thought about focusing one each individual food representing 1 macro. Definitely sounds so much simpler when counting macros. This way provides so much more control. Thank you!
So much easier!!
This is bodybuilding 101 and Evan has a PhD. He has walked the walk, now talking the talk. This information is like gold. Those who walk this walk will be wearing gold on their chest in the future.
Big respect to how Evan always make his videos without ever making the video about what he’s advertising and almost saying they’re not necessary. Makes me way more interested in the products themselves as I see need for them and don’t just dismiss them as scammy
Evan is a great BB ambassador. He's 100% sincere. Thank you, Evan.
Love these Evan
Thank you
One of my fave bb'ers, always appreciate the knowledge he provides
I've been training for 7 years and this is the first time I've diet on fish for 2 weeks straight. Costco got frozen cod fish, wild caught in perfect portions cut and packaged for each meal. Give it a try.
Evan is the GOAT. Literally no one is better when it comes to nutrition or making nutrition content.
Tanner!!! Thank you bro 🙏
Definitely nutritional advice, carb cycling, workout splits, things like that are great and helpful
Simple. Makes a lot of sense. Thanks!!
Very nice advice. Back to basics. Sometimes we tend to forget about the basic concept. Keep it simple. Thanks.
Evan is a true legend! Please make a video about - Body recomposition pros & cons & how to do it. Thanks :)
I loved the big on a budget videos
This was super informative and straight forward. Thank you !!
Great content from favorite bodybuilder and best brand ! Keep it up 👍💪
Excellent video. Thank you. 👍
Love being simple. When I want to cut, I also use lean fish like tilapia, potatoes, bananas and blue berries as carbs, and my fat is avocado or olive oil. When Im maintaining or bulking, thats when I add more sources of fatty proteins, also oatmeal and nuts/PB/nut butters for fats and proteins.
That is the most perfect explanation … thanks Evan !!
So many languages and you chose to speak the truth 🔥
LOL 🙏
Simplicity 🏆 this is my style. Thank you
for people who want more food volume, consume olives instead of olive oil. not only are you gaining food quantity, you are also getting in more fiber.
I really like Evan’s videos on grocery shopping and cooking!
Bring back an entire new series of nutrition + super supps series ...good to see u Evan ...today's social media is full of clowns ...thankfully you are still active
Thanks a lot man 🙏
A nice diplomatic talk to help us help ourselves -
managing health can be similar to looking after our money making good choices along the way in a self disciplined approach to be on the right side.
This is solid advice. With todays food prices, I’ve sacrificed variety for simplicity. You will save a ton of money while seeing amazing progress. what’s not to love about that.
Great advice as always Evan thanks for keeping it real and clearing the mess of misinformation and fad diets out there. Keep up the good fight and Stay strong. Best rgds Si
I love this guy he's always keeping it real
great video people need to hear this 👏🏽 💪🏽
Very motivational!
Thank you!
Great video
great video! totally agree this is the best way to diet
Wow, you are so down to earth. I learned so much from watching this video. Now if you could help me to decide how to make a chart for upper and lower weights in the gym and how to progress, that would be all I need. Thanks for sharing this info.! :)
Thanks Evan for the great video !!!
Thanks for yet another awesome video and trustworthy information. In addition I’d be interesting know how would you suggest calculating macros for summer - if say you consume N calories in winter - X carbs, Y protein and Z fats for summer lower carbs by 30%, proteins keep the same and lower fats by like 10% or whatever you would suggest and why - something simple to follow and incorporate for non-pros and beginners 🙏🏻
Great information overall!! Nice
Love this information Jonathan and Anne!
Doing this with my coach rn love it. Love it a lot rn going thru a divorce. My days are laid out for me
Simplicity is a beautiful thing.
This video was the best explanation to diet and to look good for summer.
This is AWESOME nsd exactly what I have been looking for!!!
I see Evan on my feed... I click.
Great information here as always 🙏 much appreciated
The monotony of bodybuilding with diet has helped me mentally and physically over the years ive monitored myself.
It's also driven me bat shit crazy at times 😂
Awesome content 👌
using food that predominantly fit into one macro is a perfect explanation. You will eventually wind up using chicken, rice and oils. And it is WAAAY easier to control the macro adjustments when your trainer makes tweaks to ur diet. super simple that way. perfect explanation.
Eat high volume but low calories foods. Best way to lose weight.
I mean, as soon as I see Evan doing a food/diet tutorial video im watching it regardless but this one in particular i really like because for most of it he says something like 'make adjustments' and follows it up with 'what do i mean make adjustments' then answers it perfectly, its very very simple, easy to understand and gives you all the information you could want! Brilliant.
Great advice
Thanks for the video, I’m going to grab some single macro foods
Love this guys dr hibbert laugh (from the Simpsons) 🤣 great info 👌🏻
Thanks for this video Evan, I met you nearly a decade ago in England :) I might do an analysis of this video. I'm glad your nutritional understanding has improved a lot since then. The focus on health is much better! Cheers 💪🏼
This is great advice. I’m almost embarrassed that I’ve never looked at it this way.
Evan is still very relevant and informative. Very underrated
Nice 🔥
love the kitchen design
I love it
Thank You 🥦🏋🏼💪🏻
Thanks!
More home cooking videos for dishes that fulfil your macros would be great, keep in mind that your personality is part of the brand etc
Hey Evan, so great to see your videos. What deserts do you eat that’s low carb and good for body building?
Thanks evan big fan of u
I hope you have equity in Animal, Evan. That company is shit without you. Greatly appreciate all your content, sincerity, and advice for all these years.
Day in the life videos would be cool.
My body is at that point where you can tell I go to the gym, but also don't say no to a good dessert. Ever.
I want to change that. So I will follow your advice here.
This is what I think of when I hear "eating clean;" choosing foods that are mostly one pure macro.
Damn this is great info man!
Evan i loved the video. Yeah it becomes very easy to track macros using this way. I hv a question, when on diet do we need to count the calories (protein) from the rice ! Logically when we want to do caloric deficit diet we need to count all the calories
More evan centaponi training videos
Evan can you do a video on how someone with a fatty liver, back problems and diastasis needs to approach diet and training?
Started Animal Pak and liver enzymes went through the roof. Stopped and went back to a daily multivitamin and back to normal. Love the educational videos, but get bloodwork done often when starting any new eating regimens and supplements
Supplements:
Magnesium carbonate & theonate, L-theanine focus/calm, and fiber.
Recovery:
Inclined Sleep Therapy *free
Exercise:
Rebounder & Isometrics
Food:
Lean chicken replaces unhealthy calories
*Thorough teeth/gum cleaning

Hi, I really enjoyed this video. Thankyou for helping us get started with our goals. I was wondering if you can swap out chicken for the fish. Everything else is fine but fish isnt a big go to food for us :(.
I’m Indian, and I eat mostly vegetarian, I can’t do low carb, practical and physical reasons and doing what you stated about single macro sources is so hard in vegetarian diet. But i find it easier to focus on calories
When knowladge and experience get together 🔥
i want to see more vids of you and Frank Mcgrath!!!!
This is a smart strategy for pure aesthetics, it's practically genius. The issue I'd have with sticking with so few foods though (I think he mentioned a specific 5) is you'd be sadly deficient in micronutrients and especially phytonutrients. The approach in a broader sense could work because fruit and vegetables are great sources of both, and mostly sources of carbohydrates coming from either starch and/or sugar and fiber, but you'd have to be including a wide variety of both fruits and veggies to not be phyto and micronutrient deficient.
That's why he is promoting his supplement line. Animal multivitamin-mineral tablets.😊
This is the most common sense response I’ve heard… flexible dieting definitely gets me in trouble
I think for some people it really works and for others, it makes it more difficult. Hey, whatever works!
how many videos is Animal gonna mess up the audio in?
My comment for Animal suggestions: I would like to see the clothing apparel store online fully stocked with larger sizes...its been out of stock for quite some time.
This video is for professional bodybuilders, the presumption that an average Joe or Jane (who already have the damndest time sticking to diets ) is going to stick to a diet like this is questionable.
When you first start tracking macros it’s a pain. After about a week it’s pretty simple.
Most people are going to choose “difficult” tracking /food substitution over monotony. It’s not very difficult to track your macros
Looking good 😎
That tank-top suits you perfectly !❤
I eat like him and clean clean.🎉 Lean all year round and I'm happy with ir ✅
this is really smart
Super cool guy
Any tips on vegetarian protein sources ? Single ingredient.
Sustainability is also key, you have to question whether eating very basic plain foods is sustainable, or whether you're likely to cave and binge! The gut microbiome is getting a lot of reasearch recently and seems crucial in all aspects of mode, body composition, sleep etc. which is why diversity of diet is important. Sure use rice for carbs, but why not potatoes, root vegetables, apples, berries. Why not use fatter meats and fish like salmon or mackerel instead of adding extra EVOO. Dark chocolate (90% or higher) for fats and fibre, polyphenols. To be a bodybuilder you first have to be healthy.
Completely agree. For me personally I have done the chicken broccoli thing, and it worked pretty well, however the sheer monotony of eating that dull food made me never want to diet again. There plenty of food tracker apps now which make it very easy to switch out foods and calculate macros.
Love that grocery store!
What are the specific recipes u make with these 6 ingredients? Or do u just steam them?
