    I commented on one of your earlier videos involving the Pursuit, and in my opinion that it's better to get the Pursuit and strip it to the point you want, rather than to build a Challenger (much more expensive). I planned to take off my trunk and lowers but found out just how useful the trunk was, so it's still on. I still think that I'm going to take off the lowers next year for the miserable heat. I waited 2 years for the Pursuit to come out before getting my new Indian. When the Chieftain came out in 2014 it took 2 years for the Roadmaster to come out and I knew it was a matter of time until Indian came out with a frame mount fairing. Just didn't think it would take 6 years for the Challenger then 2 more for the Pursuit. Although I was really happy that I waited. To see the water cooled 108 with more torque and horsepower than any other stock bike on the road, is great, even though I'm not a speed demon anymore.
    Now for my personal info regarding the airflow on the Pursuit. Don't open completely, and forget about the vents. There are 2 plastic clamps where the lowers attach to the top of the highway bars, open the vent handle to the inside of the outside clamp. This will direct the air to the engine and make the heat pass between the engine, and your legs.
    As far as the guy that doesn't care for the sound of the 108, personally, I like being able to hear my music over the rumble of pipes that are too loud. My 60's, 70's, and 80's Rock & Roll, through my MP3 player, cranked up to 7 is louder than any exhaust I've heard. Personally over medium level 5 volume is more than enough at 70 mph on the interstate.
    For those who are unaware, there are 3 levels to each number on the volume.

    In my opinion always get the fully decked out model to begin with. I have a Victory Cross Country Tour and would never have bought a Cross Country since you can strip the Tour down without cost but, it will cost you more then the tour to build up the Cross Country to tour specs and the same applies with the Challenger versus the Pursuit and also the Chieftain versus the Roadmaster.

    Dealer said to me when I bought my Roadmaster-If you think you will ever want a trunk buy the Roadmaster rather than a Chieftain, the accessories are way expensive. Excellent advice. I ride 75% with out the trunk, but when I need it it is sitting in my garage. When I get my next ride it will be a Pursuit.

    I would get the challenger and the detachable tour pack. I’m not a fan of tour packs, but I would need one if I’m going with the wife on a trip.

    I chose the Challenger strictly because of the war bonnet on the tank. The Indian script is OK, but I prefer the war bonnet. Both bikes are awesome though.

    Love the video and comparison, I actually had the opportunity to own both. I had the Indian dark horse challenger 2021 to which I did over 37,000 miles two coast to coast rides on it. I accessorized the hell out of it to the point it was looking like a pursuit. Then they came out with the pursuit😂.... I ended up trading in the challenger for the 2023 pursuit dark horse. Love both bikes , but loving the pursuit little more, guess due to the few added features that I didn't have on the challenger ie:adjustable shocks heated seats and grips . The feel and handlng of the pursuit feels slightly different than the challenger for some reason, in a good way. Seems a bit more nibble, have to check the ground clearance on it 🤔 that maybe factor. 🤔. But either way both great bikes still getting accustomed to the pursuit and love it have it just over a month and hope to hit 5,000 miles before season is over. Short season here in NYC. Keep videos coming

    You will appreciate that bar behind the tour pack if you ever have to push that thing! Just turned 98K on my cross country Vic. They are similar to ride. I think I’ll pull the plug on one of those pursuits though, but I’ll keep the old Vic too. The Vic with its rounded top saddlebags and bigger tour pack actually has 43 gallons of storage. Maybe they’ll come out with a bat wing version called the Indian Victor!😄🍻

    Agree with the over-badging that Indian is known for. Once upon a time, Indian design was very obvious, but I've never been a fan of sixteen logos all over any vehicle.

    I have a Victory Magmun which I absolutely love. The biggest complaints from the Victorys is wind buffeting. The Victorys have great looking fairing in my opinion. The Indians not so much, but I'd love to hear some thoughts on how calm the ride is behind Indian fairings.

    • @richardcooper7047
      @richardcooper7047 Před 4 měsíci

      Buy witchdoctors have lowers that stop that buffeting. Have a '17 Roadmaster how the fairing is made with a lip really no buffet at all. Now the others the fairing is built different don't know. But most dealers thru Indian all bikes on the floor are ready for demo.

    Funny how you’re reviewing the Indian with Harley gloves😂
    I love the Indians and was sweet of getting a dark horse or pursuit (hadn’t decided) then Harley went ahead and absolutely stacked their 2024 line up with a series of upgrades.
    I have a little more homework to do now😂
